This paper proposes a donation mobile app gamified to monitor players’ donation decision. Three main scenarios were simulated to observe which factors affect the donation. First, five categories of donation project were available. Second, an expiring donation project was set and was alerted to players. Last, auctions were added to some donation projects to draw more players’ attention. Testing with twelve young players revealed that the most influenced donation factor is the project’s type. Health-related project was the most attentive. Also, the expiring donation project triggered the players’ interest. Unfortunately, auctions rarely increased the amount of donation which may be due to the uninteresting bidding products.

Based on data from the Forestry and Plantation Service of Nabire Regency, the forest area in Nabire Regency is 3.26% of the total forest area in Papua, which is 42,224,840 Ha. The existence of forests in Nabire Regency greatly supports the survival of unique animals such as cuscus, birds of paradise, cassowary, peacocks, and parrots, and there are also various types of reptiles, mammals, and insects. By looking at the diversity of animals and ornamental plants in the forests of Nabire Regency, further research is needed to see the development and change of forests as an effort to estimate forest destruction. This research focuses on developing a research model to classify forest areas as vulnerable to collapse. The methods used in this study used OLI Landsat 8 satellite imagery and advanced analysis methods to assess and predict potential forest destruction in Nabire District, Indonesia; using OLI Landsat 8 satellite imagery and multi-band sensors, the developed research model can present a systematic approach that understands forest dynamics. Research has several stages, such as data preparation, data classification, vegetation index analysis, interpolation, and grouping of vegetation index data. Applying vegetation indices such as NDVI, SAVI, MSAVI, VCI, TCI, and VHI yields insights into vegetation health and distribution, enabling comprehensive monitoring of ecosystem change.

Deep Learning has been successfully applied in diverse fields, and its impact on deepfake detection is no exception. Deepfakes are fake yet realistic synthetic content that can be used deceitfully for political impersonation, phishing, slandering, or spreading misinformation. Despite extensive research on unimodal deepfake detection, identifying complex deepfakes through joint analysis of audio and visual streams remains relatively unexplored. To fill this gap, this survey first provides an overview of audiovisual deepfake generation techniques, applications, and their consequences, and then provides a comprehensive review of state-of-the-art methods that combine audio and visual modalities to enhance detection accuracy, summarizing and critically analyzing their strengths and limitations. Furthermore, we discuss existing open source datasets for a deeper understanding, which can contribute to the research community and provide necessary information to beginners who want to analyze deep learning-based audiovisual methods for video forensics. By bridging the gap between unimodal and multimodal approaches, this paper aims to improve the effectiveness of deepfake detection strategies and guide future research in cybersecurity and media integrity. © 2024, CC BY.

This paper presents a collection of computer use behavior prone to office syndrome by using pressure sensors in conjunction with IoT devices. IoT device was attached with a chair, and sensors were installed on the seat and the backrest. Another IoT set was linked with sensors installed under the mouse pad. The collected data of seven testers instructed to use computer and move freely revealed different behaviors. Some were sitting constantly with or without using backrest or touching mouse. Also a unique character like standing while using computer was found. To link with office syndrome estimation, we proposed a set of rules including thresholds for pressure values, time criteria and risk scoring. Using these criteria, the testers were found to have low and moderate risks of office syndrome.

As Metaverse emerges as the next-generation Internet paradigm, the ability to efficiently generate content is paramount. AI-Generated Content (AIGC) emerges as a key solution, yet the resource-intensive nature of large Generative AI (GAI) models presents challenges. To address this issue, we introduce an AIGC-as-a-Service (AaaS) architecture, which deploys AIGC models in wireless edge networks to ensure broad AIGC services accessibility for Metaverse users. Nonetheless, an important aspect of providing personalized user experiences requires carefully selecting AIGC Service Providers (ASPs) capable of effectively executing user tasks, which is complicated by environmental uncertainty and variability. Addressing this gap in current research, we introduce the AI-Generated Optimal Decision (AGOD) algorithm, a diffusion model-based approach for generating the optimal ASP selection decisions. Integrating AGOD with Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL), we develop the Deep Diffusion Soft Actor-Critic (D2SAC) algorithm, enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of ASP selection. Our comprehensive experiments demonstrate that D2SAC outperforms seven leading DRL algorithms. Furthermore, the proposed AGOD algorithm has the potential for extension to various optimization problems in wireless networks, positioning it as a promising approach for future research on AIGC-driven services. The popularity of Metaverse as an entertainment, social, and work platform has led to a great need for seamless avatar integration in the virtual world. In Metaverse, avatars must be updated and rendered to reflect users' behaviour. Achieving real-time synchronization between the virtual bilocation and the user is complex, placing high demands on the Metaverse Service Provider (MSP)'s rendering resource allocation scheme. To tackle this issue, we propose a semantic communication framework that leverages contest theory to model the interactions between users and MSPs and determine optimal resource allocation for each user. To reduce the consumption of network resources in wireless transmission, we use the semantic communication technique to reduce the amount of data to be transmitted. Under our simulation settings, the encoded semantic data only contains 51 bytes of skeleton coordinates instead of the image size of 8.243 megabytes. Moreover, we implement Deep Q-Network to optimize reward settings for maximum performance and efficient resource allocation. With the optimal reward setting, users are incentivized to select their respective suitable uploading frequency, reducing down-sampling loss due to rendering resource constraints by 66.076% compared with the traditional average distribution method. The framework provides a novel solution to resource allocation for avatar association in VR environments, ensuring a smooth and immersive experience for all users.

Towards Adversarial Robustness for Multi-Mode Data through Metric Learning

Adversarial attacks have become one of the most serious security issues in widely used deep neural networks. Even though real-world datasets usually have large intra-variations or multiple modes, most adversarial defense methods, such as adversarial training, which is currently one of the most effective defense methods, mainly focus on the single-mode setting and thus fail to capture the full data representation to defend against adversarial attacks. To confront this challenge, we propose a novel multi-prototype metric learning regularization for adversarial training which can effectively enhance the defense capability of adversarial training by preventing the latent representation of the adversarial example changing a lot from its clean one. With extensive experiments on CIFAR10, CIFAR100, MNIST, and Tiny ImageNet, the evaluation results show the proposed method improves the performance of different state-of-the-art adversarial training methods without additional computational cost. Furthermore, besides Tiny ImageNet, in the multi-prototype CIFAR10 and CIFAR100 where we reorganize the whole datasets of CIFAR10 and CIFAR100 into two and ten classes, respectively, the proposed method outperforms the state-of-the-art approach by 2.22% and 1.65%, respectively. Furthermore, the proposed multi-prototype method also outperforms its single-prototype version and other commonly used deep metric learning approaches as regularization for adversarial training and thus further demonstrates its effectiveness. © 2023 by the authors.

Dynamic programming is a fundamental algorithm that can be found in our daily lives easily. One of the dynamic programming algorithm implementations consists of solving the 0/1 knapsack problem. A 0/1 knapsack problem can be seen from industrial production cost. It is prevalent that a production cost has to be as efficient as possible, but the expectation is to get the proceeds of the products higher. Thus, the dynamic programming algorithm can be implemented to solve the diverse knapsack problem, one of which is the 0/1 knapsack problem, which would be the main focus of this paper. The implementation was implemented using C language. This paper was created as an early implementation algorithm using a Dynamic program algorithm applied to an Automatic Identification System (AIS) dataset.
