One main cause of inaccurate forecasts is that data may contain noises and outliers. In the case of the Provincial Waterworks Authority (PWA), the inaccuracy of analyzing and forecasting the number of water users is due to outliers contained in data sources. Some branches of PWA collected errors such as the very high or very low number of water users. This has a direct impact on the quality and reliability of the predictive accuracy output. The removal of the “outliers” is thus critical for accurate interpretation of the data. The purpose of this paper is to detect outliers in water consumption time series data. We examined two techniques: (1) a method based on autoregressive integrated moving average (ARIMA) time series modeling and (2) median absolute deviation (MAD). A clustering technique (K-Mean) is used as a pre-processing step in order to identify appropriate parameters for the two outliers detection techniques. The results showed that, with the precise parameter values obtained from K-Mean, both ARIMA and MAD performed very well on water consumption time series data. The two techniques are able to generate high sensitivity and specificity outputs.

We as a human can not avoid the disease, and when we are sick, we need to see a practical doctor. However, in term of location and patient's right for changing the practical doctor, then the patient when moving from one practical doctor to others will have similar and repeated questions such as medicine allergy, history of diseases and so on. Moreover, become a problem for a vulnerable patient such as unconscious patient, disabled or elderly when seeing a new practical doctor and at the end of the day, it will become malpractice. Few of the causes of the problem above are the lack of health education, delay in diagnosing/misdiagnosis, and inaccessible healthcare facilities and with the increasing popularity of telemedicine and IoT across the world, then we need to apply IoT in order to help the patient. In this paper, a framework is created and designed for an IoT-integrated mobile application for the patient where this mobile application is expected to be implemented.

Laser wakefield acceleration (LWFA) may achieve TeV/m gradients using high-density solid-state plasmas as accelerating media. However, the application of bulk solid materials requires attosecond laser pulses, such as X-ray lasers, to drive wakefields at these high densities. Additionally, the short wakefield wavelengths associated with solid-state plasmas greatly limit the accelerating length. An alternative approach employs 2D carbon-based nanomaterials, like graphene or carbon nanotubes (CNTs), configured into structured targets. These nanostructures are designed with voids or low-density regions to effectively reduce the overall plasma density. This reduction enables the use of longer-wavelength lasers and also extends the plasma wavelength and the acceleration length. In this study, we present, to our knowledge, the first numerical demonstration of electron acceleration via self-injection into a wakefield bubble driven by an infrared laser pulse in structured CNT targets, similar to the behavior observed in gaseous plasmas for LWFA in the nonlinear (or bubble) regime. Using the PIConGPU code, bundles of CNTs are modeled in a 3D geometry as 25 nm-thick carbon tubes with an initial density of 1022 cm−3. The carbon plasma is ionized by a three-cycle, 800 nm wavelength laser pulse with a peak intensity of 1021 W cm−2, achieving an effective plasma density of 1020 cm−3. The same laser also drives the wakefield bubble, responsible for the electron self-injection and acceleration. Simulation results indicate that fs-long electron bunches with hundreds of pC charge can be self-injected and accelerated at gradients exceeding 1 TeV/m. Both charge and accelerating gradient figures are unprecedented when compared with LWFA in gaseous plasma. © 2025, CC BY-NC-ND.

Although research activity plays a big role in institutional ranking and provides a great benefit for university lecturer, the process of managing all research activity is tedious and exhausting. In most university, management must be able to collect all hundreds of proposals and reports;not to mention they must be able to accommodate the process of reviewing every single proposal. They also need to monitor all research output in final report and make sure that all of the outputs are correctly achieved from proposed target. In addition to the problems stated, previous activities are done manually, leaving a lot of opportunity to improve and automate the process. All of the addressable opportunity for improvement are explained and explored, thus a model of the web application is created. This paper presents the design of web application used to solve persistent problem in research management, specifically in Binus University. The design methodology is divided into two phases: requirement engineering phase, and system design. Upon finishing the requirement engineering phase, system model is depicted using Unified Modeling Language, specifically: Activity Diagram, Use Case Diagram, and Conceptual Class Diagram. © 2018 IEEE.

Objective: Mobile nutrition applications (apps) provide a simple way for individuals to record their diet, but the validity and inherent errors need to be carefully evaluated. The aim of this study was to assess the validity and clarify the sources of measurement errors of image-assisted mobile nutrition apps. Methods: This was a cross-sectional study with 98 students recruited from School of Nutrition and Health Sciences, Taipei Medical University. A 3-d nutrient intake record by Formosa Food and Nutrient Recording App (FoodApp) was compared with a 24-h dietary recall (24-HDR). A two-stage data modification process, manual data cleaning, and reanalyzing of prepackaged foods were employed to address inherent errors. Nutrient intake levels obtained by the two methods were compared with the recommended daily intake (DRI), Taiwan. Paired t test, Spearman's correlation coefficients, and Bland–Altman plots were used to assess agreement between the FoodApp and 24-HDR. Results: Manual data cleaning identified 166 food coding errors (12%;stage 1), and 426 food codes with missing micronutrients (32%) were reanalyzed (stage 2). Positive linear trends were observed for total energy and micronutrient intake (all P_trend < 0.05) after the two stages of data modification, but not for dietary fat, carbohydrates, or vitamin D. There were no statistical differences in mean energy and macronutrient intake between the FoodApp and 24-HDR, and this agreement was confirmed by Bland–Altman plots. Spearman's correlation analyses showed strong to moderate correlations (r = 0.834 ∼ 0.386) between the two methods. Participants’ nutrient intake tended to be lower than the DRI, but no differences in proportions of adequacy/inadequacy for DRI values were observed between the two methods. Conclusions: Mitigating errors significantly improved the accuracy of the Formosa FoodApp, indicating its validity and reliability as a self-reporting mobile-based dietary assessment tool. In the face of increasingly competitive competition in the hospital industry, RSU managers are required to be able to develop strategies, policies or new breakthroughs related to improving the quality of their services, through improving the characteristics of hospital services, which focus on patient needs, so that the risk of errors or discrepancies between service characteristics that are enhanced by what the patient wants can be avoided or minimized. From the results of research conducted there are 21 variables of patient needs from a health service at the Government General Hospital (RSU). Whereas the patient's research on the service quality of the Government Hospital is 1 variable that has fulfilled the needs of patients, namely that they are satisfied with the quality of hospital services. Variable is the state and completeness of modern medical facilities. Whereas for other variables there are gaps so that they cannot meet patient expectations until the highest quality limit is very satisfied, it is necessary to have a direction of improvement. To obtain the suitability, the technique used to improve the characteristics of the service is the application of the QFD method. The QFD method in this study is in the form of a quality service matrix at the Government General Hospital. From the HOQ matrix, the service quality of the Government Hospital is obtained from the input of the Government Hospital/management that there are priority variables needed to improve their quality, which is generally the patient's needs related to the recovery of patients, including the knowledge and abilities of doctors, medicines the treatment given in the healing of patients, the service of examination, treatment and care that is fast and precise, guarantee of security and trust in the services provided and the completeness of the readiness and cleanliness of the equipment used. This paper intended to classify land cover of high-resolution satellite image using supervised classification method. The object of this research was the land cover image of the central java area in Indonesia which chosen as an area observed with the cloud cover consideration. The Satellite image was obtained from Sentinel-2 through https://***. Supervised Classification and ArcMap 10.5 was used to classified image object. This research classified the land cover into four classifications class namely Water, Forest, Urban and Bare Land due to show the main classes in the Land Cover Classification of RSNI-l National Standardization Body of Indonesia, RSNI-l was used as reference for classification process. The confusion matrix used to calculate classification accuracy value. Subsequently, confusion matrix results compared to the truth information. The truth information was derived from the actual value of RASTERVALUE obtained from Google Earth. This research shown supervised classification maximum-likelihood classification has been classified land cover into four class (forest, water body, urban and bare land) with overall accuracy = 1 and kappa value = 0.4896. This result showed this research got moderate kappa accuracy value but high overall accuracy value. High accuracy value reached due to fully supervised experiment during classification process.

COVID-19 makes the community must carry out activities such as school, work, and worship at home. However, the long-running activities from home make people experience boredom which can lead to stress. On the other side, the entertainment obtained by the public through smartphones by reading articles by their interests can reduce boredom. This paper proposed a rules-based decision support system to help the people to make choices of their activities from home while COVID-19 e rules-based approach for make an application decision support system. Ruled base used in application to selected process through characteristics following the interests of the community. This decision support system is implemented in mobile web applications. The system can display articles based on interests by questions or statements through the front end system. The results showed that most users of the application in a happy condition while working from home.

The decision to determine whether or not a journal to be published in Majalah Kedokteran Nusantara can be decided by using the Decision Support System with certain methods. One of methods used is fuzzy logic method and is applied to the Microsoft Visual Basic programming language. From the results of the research, the first step that must be done in determining a journal is published was to identify the problem and to determine how to evaluate the quality of the journal which is done by calculating the parameter values of the variables that have been determined by the editorial board. The parameters used in the calculation were title of articles, abstract, background, content, conclusions and bibliography. The conclusions obtained from the research is to building a decision support system to determine a journal published in Majalah Kedokteran Nusantara using fuzzy logic method was not so difficult to do, because it utilized Fis Sugeno Matlab application and by using fuzzy logic methods and utilizing fuzzyfication to get linguistic variables were very helpful in determining how a journal is published. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

This article synthesizes the insights gained through presentations and discussions at the 2023 IEEE Workshop on Norbert Wiener in the 21st Century (21CW2023), which focused on "The Future of Work in the Age of Automation."Hosted at Purdue University, this interdisciplinary convening of technologists, social scientists, and humanists explored the impacts of automation on labor, drawing on Wiener's legacy of insights as a backdrop to examine the technologically mediated future we face in coming decades. The workshop presented a rare opportunity to reflect critically on these issues at a pivotal moment in human and technological history, and to elicit underappreciated dimensions. Areas of focus include: the qualitative and quantitative losses associated with automation and AI, the impacts automation has for questions about the meaningfulness of work, the challenges we face related to uncertainty and lack of predictability in technological advancement, and the opportunities that exist for centering human values and agency in these conversations. While acknowledging many items for concern in the context of automation in the future of work, such as the domination of economic narratives, a potential loss of qualitative texture, and the neglect of certain issues key to human identity, the authors conclude by offering optimistic visions - or calls - for redefining value and labor, preserving human agency, and embracing creative problem-solving. © 2024 IEEE.
