Cumulative state loss over the years caused by corruption in Indonesia has reached a fantastic number of 15 Billion usn up until 2016 [1]. To imagine the severances of it, 10.000 KM of highway can be built with that much amount of fund. Several responses has been done by Indonesian government to fight corruption from both prevention and persecution. This work focuses on the development of a web application aimed to provide insight to corruption case per province in Indonesia. The web application was developed using Machine Learning, specifically Backpropagation Artificial Neural Network (ANN). Web crawling and web scraping techniques are used to gather news content from 7 major news portal in Indonesia. Accuracy is measured by comparing correct prediction by ANN to its true value. Upon finding corruption news, data is saved and further analysis is done to establish the number of corruption news per region. Finally, the output is visualized using Google Map API. The purpose of this work is to provide regional depiction of corruption case to give further insight to be used by decision makers. Upon using this web application, objectivity of program development is expected to increase. The final output of the web application is a map of corruption case in Indonesia per region. The accuracy of ANN used in this work to classify corruption and non-corruption news is 96.91 % using Sigmoid Activation Function.

Power of pausing: Advancing understanding of thermalization in experimental quantum annealers

We investigate alternative annealing schedules on the current generation of quantum annealing hardware (the D-Wave 2000Q), which includes the use of forward and reverse annealing with an intermediate pause. This work provides new insights into the inner workings of these devices (and quantum devices in general), particular into how thermal effects govern the system dynamics. We show that a pause mid-way through the anneal can cause a dramatic change in the output distribution, and we provide evidence suggesting thermalization is indeed occurring during such a pause. We demonstrate that upon pausing the system in a narrow region shortly after the minimum gap, the probability of successfully finding the ground state of the problem Hamiltonian can be increased over an order of magnitude. We relate this effect to relaxation (i.e. thermalization) after diabatic and thermal excitations that occur in the region near to the minimum gap. For a set of large-scale problems of up to 500 qubits, we demonstrate that the distribution returned from the annealer very closely matches a (classical) Boltzmann distribution of the problem Hamiltonian, albeit one with a temperature at least 1.5 times higher than the (effective) temperature of the annealer. Moreover, we show that larger problems are more likely to thermalize to a classical Boltzmann distribution. Copyright © 2018, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Background: The joint impact of exposure to multiple urban environmental factors on asthma remains unclear. Methods: We analysed data from 14 European cohorts to assess the impact of the urban exposome on asthma incidence across the life course. We linked three external exposome domains (air pollution, built environment, ambient temperature) to the participants’ home addresses at baseline. We performed k-means clustering within each domain and assessed associations of clusters with asthma adjusting for potentially relevant covariates in cohort-specific analyses, with subsequent separate meta-analyses for birth and adult cohorts. An environmental risk score using a coefficient-weighted sum approach was used to assess the impact of combining the three domains. Findings: A total of 7428 incident asthma cases were identified among 349,037 participants (from birth up to age 70+). Overall, we observed higher risks of asthma for clusters characterized by high particulate matter and nitrogen dioxide exposure in adults (OR_meta = 1.13, 95%CI:1.01–1.25), and clusters characterized by high built-up area and low levels of greenness in both children and adults (OR_meta = 1.36, 95%CI: 1.14–1.64 for birth cohorts and OR_meta = 1.15, 95%CI: 1.03–1.28 for adult cohorts, respectively). The joint exposure using the environment risk score combining the three domains was consistently associated with higher risks of incident asthma (OR_meta = 1.13, 95%CI: 1.07–1.20 for birth cohorts, OR_meta = 1.15, 95%CI: 1.10–1.20 for adult cohorts per 20% increase). On average 11.6% of the incident asthma cases could be attributed to environmental risk score above cohort-specific median levels. Interpretation: Multiple environmental exposures jointly contribute to incident asthma risk across the life course. Urban planning accounting for these factors may help mitigate asthma development. The Brain Imaging Data Structure (BIDS) is a community-driven standard for the organization of data and metadata from a growing range of neuroscience modalities. This paper is meant as a history of how the standard has developed and grown over time. We outline the principles behind the project, the mechanisms by which it has been extended, and some of the challenges being addressed as it evolves. We also discuss the lessons learned through the project, with the aim of enabling researchers in other domains to learn from the success of BIDS. © 2023, CC BY.

Recently, a modified data hiding scheme based on pixel value differencing and improving exploiting modification directions is proposed by Shen and Huang. There are two major contributions in this scheme. One is to enhance the embedding rate and good embedding capacity and the other is an optimization problem used to solve the overflow/ underflow problem. In fact, they propose the similar brute force method to solve overflow/underflow problem in their proposed scheme. To overcome the overflow/underflow problem exactly, we will propose the close form to solve this problem in this paper. Then, an improvement data hiding scheme based on FFEMD (Formula Fully Exploiting Modification Directions) and pixel value differencing method is proposed. According to our analysis, it is not only to keep the advantages of Shen-Huang scheme but also to use the close form to solve the overflow/ underflow problem. © 2016 IEEE.

The decision to determine whether or not a journal to be published in Majalah Kedokteran Nusantara can be decided by using the Decision Support System with certain methods. One of methods used is fuzzy logic method and is applied to the Microsoft Visual Basic programming language. From the results of the research, the first step that must be done in determining a journal is published was to identify the problem and to determine how to evaluate the quality of the journal which is done by calculating the parameter values of the variables that have been determined by the editorial board. The parameters used in the calculation were title of articles, abstract, background, content, conclusions and bibliography. The conclusions obtained from the research is to building a decision support system to determine a journal published in Majalah Kedokteran Nusantara using fuzzy logic method was not so difficult to do, because it utilized Fis Sugeno Matlab application and by using fuzzy logic methods and utilizing fuzzyfication to get linguistic variables were very helpful in determining how a journal is published.
