The work presents a novel wavy channel nanosheet field effect transistor (WCNSFET) and its circuit-level performance. In this work, a single nanosheet is transformed into a wave-like structure to enhance the physical device area, thus showing an improvement in device performance. The device and circuit level performances are analyzed using 3D TCAD simulation tools. Furthermore, the wavy channel nanosheet FETs are analyzed with different number of waves in a single sheet and compared with flat sheet-based transistors for different channel materials (Ge and GaAs). The results reveal the improvement in drive current, low propagation delay, a smooth voltage transfer characteristic, high noise margin, and low energy. The results achieved with this novel device make the device a promising candidate for next-generation low power CMOS applications.

TTS (Text-to-Speech) document reader from Microsoft, Adobe, Apple, and OpenAI have been serviced worldwide. They provide relatively good TTS results for general plain text, but sometimes skip contents or provide unsatisfactory results for mathematical expressions. This is because most modern academic papers are written in LaTeX, and when LaTeX formulas are compiled, they are rendered as distinctive text forms within the document. However, traditional TTS document readers output only the text as it is recognized, without considering the mathematical meaning of the formulas. To address this issue, we propose MathReader, which effectively integrates OCR, a fine-tuned T5 model, and TTS. MathReader demonstrated a lower Word Error Rate (WER) than existing TTS document readers, such as Microsoft Edge and Adobe Acrobat, when processing documents containing mathematical formulas. MathReader reduced the WER from 0.510 to 0.281 compared to Microsoft Edge, and from 0.617 to 0.281 compared to Adobe Acrobat. This will significantly contribute to alleviating the inconvenience faced by users who want to listen to documents, especially those who are visually impaired. We investigated the effect of copper ion concentration in zinc-copper dual-ion electrolytes to suppress dendrites and extend the cycle life of zinc ion capacitors. The devices were characterized in terms of changes in microstructure and cycling stability. The nuclei size was decreased in the optimal copper ion concentration to promote lateral deposition and avoid vertical dendrites. The device exhibited stable cycling performance with a capacitance retention of 95% after 10,000 redox cycles, compared to the device with single zinc ion electrolyte which short circuited at around 1,250 redox cycles.

In this paper, a cost-efficient passive snubber is proposed with a few additional components: two diodes, one capacitor, and one inductor.
