This work is an approach that brings together Learning Analytics and Ontologies for a data classification that promotes improvements and behavioral changes for students and teachers on e-Learning platforms. Combining training courses, dashboards, user’s evaluations, and based on Design Science Research (DSR) methodology, artifacts were created. One of the most important artifacts of our work is the Sapes tool that aims to improve students’ perceptions of their learning path and to promote a better teacher overview to follow their students’ progress. The results showed high approval by the participating students and teachers, who perceived the Sapes tool as a good facilitator of the teaching-learning process, with possibilities for self-monitoring, dynamization of the learning sequence and better interactivity with colleagues, highlighted as absent in standard e-Learning courses. In addition, the application changed the behavior of users towards the content provided by the teacher, with students performing self-management and self-regulation that were not commonly performed previously. © 2023, International Journal of Emerging Technologies in Learning. Electronic devices have become an integral component in our daily activities. In fact, the consumption of electrical energy in households reached 49% in 2018, and is expected to increase to 58% in 2050. Concurrently, the LPG is the second highest consumed energy in the household and is expected to increase to 37% in 2050. However, the devices utilizing these energies could lead to a danger such as housefire if not operated and treated carefully. An Internet of Things (IoT)-based smart home monitoring system would solve this problem, especially by effectively monitoring several parameters in the house simultaneously. In this study, a system is built to monitor and control three rooms in the house independently and simultaneously. The sensors and/or actuators in all rooms are controlled by NodeMCU ESP8266s. All microcontrollers are linked via the Internet to a local server, where all data is analyzed, saved, and transmitted to the user using the MQTT protocol. The monitoring is done by the user via MQTT dashboard in the smartphone. Following testing, the three microcontrollers are fully capable of exchanging data with the user's smartphone. The humidity changed by 1%, while the temperature changed by 0.1 °C. Perfect data interchange is possible between the relays, flame, gas, and movement activity sensor.

Universities can employ information technology as one means of achieving their goals and objectives. Universities can get advantages from information technology, such as effective resource management and information management for decision-making. However, don't forget that the campus must consider what technology is appropriate to assist them achieve their goals, particularly in the current industrial era 4.0 where technology is available with many different choices. The campus requires an enterprise architecture in order to design, manage, and coordinate information technology infrastructure, applications, and processes strategically and thoroughly. The adoption of enterprise information system architecture (EA) is also intended to improve the quality of services provided to internal and external stakeholders. In this case, Enterprise Architecture can help an organization to match its information technology resources with business processes and strategies to achieve their goals. This research was conducted using TOGAF ADM, also known as the Open Group Architecture Framework Architecture Development Method. This method offers best practices for creating enterprise architecture and emphasizes several steps that include creating an architectural vision, information systems, business architecture modeling to help XYZ campus manage all their information technology. © 2023 IEEE.

Since 3D information is helpful to 3D scene observation and recognition, 3D information acquisition and display technologies are used in various fields. Several methods to acquire 3D information such as laser scanner (LiDAR), time of flight (ToF) sensor and 3D photogrammetry from multi-view images are under active development. However, the common disadvantage of these methods is that they require a special equipment or large-scale observation system. This paper proposes a method to estimate 3D information from a monocular image that pseudo captures multi-view images. It utilizes a catadioptric imaging system given by multiple (at least two) curved mirrors and stereo-vision technique. The catadioptric imaging system has a wider field of view than that of a typical camera based on perspective projection. It is suitable for reconstructing 3D information of open spaces with a monocular image. We confirm the quality of estimated 3D information by generating arbitrary viewpoint images. © 2021 IEEE.

Determination of the best path or often called the shortest path finding is a method that has many benefits and can be applied in various cases and fields of science. In previous studies, authors have developed the shortest path finding program using various algorithms, such as held-karp, iterative deepening search, bidirectional depth first search and depth limited search. In this research author implements shortest path finding on information system for determining fire disaster evacuation route using Dijkstra and bidirectional Dijkstra. The program was developed based on web using *** framework. Both algorithms were tested on several datasets and the results will be compared to find out the strengths and weaknesses. Based on the research, the algorithm was successfully developed based on the web using the *** framework and successfully tested on several datasets, it is known that 40% of the test results show that bidirectional Dijkstra is better than Dijkstra, 10% vice versa and 50% get the same results from both algorithms. From this comparison it can be concluded that the bidirectional Dijkstra algorithm is better than Dijkstra. This research succeeded in proving that the bidirectional Dijkstra algorithm can produce a better route than the standard or classic Dijkstra algorithm. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Advances in deep learning have significantly impacted various sectors, including agriculture, by improving efficiency and sustainability. Computer vision-based plant disease detection that utilizes deep learning models such as Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) and Vision Transformers (ViTs) has replaced manual methods that require specialized skills. Vision Transformers (ViTs) with self-attention mechanisms excel at recognizing complex patterns in images of diseased plants, enabling early detection and more effective management. This study conducted a systematic literature review to evaluate the use of feature fusion-based transformer algorithms in plant disease detection and to identify current research trends, challenges, and future opportunities. The results show that ViTs can improve accuracy and efficiency in plant disease diagnosis, particularly under diverse environmental conditions. However, the adoption of this technology faces obstacles such as the need for large annotated datasets, significant computational costs, and variability in field conditions that can affect model performance. This research highlights the need for further innovation to address these challenges and expand the accessibility and reliability of deep learning-based plant disease detection for the global agricultural sector.

This paper conducts a comprehensive analysis of electrical generator performance using Finite Element Analysis (FEA), with a specific emphasis on the role of coil numbers in influencing generator efficiency and functionality. In the context of modern energy systems, where efficient power generation is paramount, this research aims to elucidate the relationship between the number of coils within a generator and its overall performance, including power output and electromagnetic behavior. Through systematic FEA simulations that vary coil numbers while keeping other parameters constant, this study provides valuable insights into the trade-offs associated with increased coil numbers and enhanced efficiency. These findings have significant implications for optimizing generator designs across various applications, from renewable energy systems to industrial power generation, ultimately advancing our understanding of generator dynamics and contributing to more sustainable and efficient power generation technologies. © 2023 IEEE.

Database lectures in the informatics engineering study program teach the life cycle of database system development, both in terms of concepts, utilization, administration to database application systems to be studied, practiced and understood by students. Database teaching in the informatics engineering department of a private university with very diverse student participants, the ability to master computer and information technology and skills requires teaching material, lecturing strategies, lecturer quality, and facilities must also be able to adjust toward challenges, concept development, and database technology. This database design research model used Hevner's information systems research framework, starting with reference research, database lecture analysis, rigor and research relevance. This research covered the steps of constructing artifacts in the form of constructs, models, methods, instantiation, and evaluation of artifacts. The use of the framework intended to support business strategies and processes in study programs and ensure the relevance of research. The benefits of this research will produce a database lecture model that can be used as a reference and lecture development in the informatics engineering study program. Reference to produce graduates with understanding and skills in database design, the use of Database Management System (DBMS), the ability in administration and professional capability in the database field. This research will be relevant to the study program environment as well as scientific benefits in research and database teaching.

Free market stipulated organizations to improve quality and competitiveness. To achieve this improvement, companies had to implement Total Quality Management so that the vision and mission of companies as one of the main competing factors in the free market were achieved. Many companies had problems in measuring and implementing the organizational performance and Total Quality Management because it needed enough budgets so that a system was needed to measure this organizational performance. The objective of this study was (1) to measure the organizational performance, (2) to measure the implementation of Total Quality Management, and (3) to measure the organizational culture by using Knowledge Management System (KMS)-based approach at Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The advantage of this study was to provide the best recommendations for companies. To develop this system, the writers conducted surveys to several MSMEs, invited experts and practitioners to acquire the knowledge, and carried out the literature study to obtain the recommendation about the best organizational culture at MSMEs. This study developed software used to measure the organizational performance, Total Quality Management, and organizational culture is seen from the Knowledge Management System (KMS) principles. The developed software had been examined to several companies and MSMEs with a very high level of accuracy in giving a recommendation. © 2020 IOP Publishing Ltd. All rights reserved.

Using the Scopus database, this study aims to investigate the use of artificial intelligence for cancer detection in the last ten years from 2013 to 2022. The researchers used bibliometric analysis combined with VosViewer and Rstudio software quantification method for literature analysis. The results of the flushed articles show data such as publication year, journal, country, keywords, and authors, to the highest number of citations. Common keywords used by researchers are artificial intelligence, medical, and human. Researchers limited the findings through keywords such as in the last ten years, documents are journals, and English only so that 1868 articles were obtained. The results found that Harvard Medical School affiliation had the highest number of articles, with 101 articles, by subject area, Medicine had a proportion of 41.9% (n=1320). This bibliometric study will be useful for other researchers to examine the development of research on Artificial Intelligence for Cancer Detection in the last ten years. © 2023 IEEE.
