Green hospital practices on patient's satisfaction in Indonesian hospital: medical specialist department case investigation

PurposeThis study aims to explore the empirical correlation between patient flow issues, quality of green health services and patient satisfaction in specialist medical department factors from patients' perspectives as service ***/methodology/approachThis research is a type of nonintervention empirical research that uses an open survey to explore the views and experiences of users of specialist medical department services. The targeted population is hospital patients included in the top five national PERSI (Indonesian Hospital Association) Award 2022 Green Hospital Category, with a total number of respondents of 572 people. This study uses the partial least square-structural equation modeling analysis method with the SmartPLS *** flow problems generally affect the quality of eco-friendly health services, except for the waiting time problem, which affects service quality. It should be understood as a top priority for patients to receive services from medical specialists without risking time as a core service aspect from the patient's perspective. In addition, all variables in eco-friendly hospital services affect patient satisfaction, except in the case of visits to specialist medical departments, which do not affect medical support services and hospital practices that are responsive to the delivery of care services resulting from medical support services that are inseparable in integrated services as well as health care following medical ***/valueThis study has a novelty in understanding the implications of green practice in determining patient satisfaction in medical specialist department as the epicenter of hospital services and the main object of assessment for the quality of hospital services.

Correlates between imagination types and abilities in designing works

A variety of studies have attempted to explain the dispositions of imagination;notably, imagination engages and develops an individual’s creativity. In the present study, we propose that three types of imagination dispositions (i.e., epistemic, sensory, and future imagination) serve as cognitive mechanisms for the ability to efficiently generate new ideas relevant to imagination with-making and imagination without-making. The correlates between imagination disposition and imagination with-making and imagination without-making were subjected to confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling. The results showed that epistemic imagination was positively related to imagination with-making, but not to imagination without-making;future imagination was positively related to imagination without-making but was not related to imagination with-making;and sensory imagination was positively related to both imagination with-making and imagination without-making. Moreover, imagination without-making was positively related to imagination with-making. The results of this study offer a practical model for understanding imaginative disposition and ability, and provide a framework for future studies to explore imagination disposition and ability in various areas, such as craft creation. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature B.V.

Finite-time thermodynamics: Multistage separation processes consuming mechanical energy

We analyze limiting capabilities of mechanical separation processes using finite-time thermodynamics and obtain estimates for the lower bound of the energy consumption for systems of a given productivity. We show that this consumption does not tend to zero when the molar fraction of one of the components tends to unity. The estimates obtained are used to analyze multistage separation processes, containing recycles, especially, isotope separation systems. For such systems we obtain relations between fluxes, mass transfer surfaces, and stage number. These relations are deduced from the condition of minimum dissipation, assuming that the enrichment factor is constant. We also obtain the optimality condition for the sequence of separations needed for a multicomponent mixture in a mechanical separation systems. (c) 2021 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

Balancing the scale: Investigating the effect of frontloading and backloading salary structures on teacher turnover

This study investigates the impact of frontloading salary structures (higher early-career salaries) on teacher turnover using data from South Carolina public school districts in the U.S. from FY2014- FY2023. Employing a Difference-in-Differences (DID) model, the analysis reveals that frontloading salary schedules is associated with lower turnover among novice teachers but have a less pronounced effect on seasoned educators. The study highlights that the impact of frontloading varies by district demographics and teacher qualifications. Results indicate that higher experience premiums for early-career teachers can increase turnover when compared to midcareer premiums, suggesting a need for balanced salary structures, targeted financial incentives.

Objective: Behavioral parent training (BPT) is a well-established treatment for ADHD;however, treatment response is variable. Consistency in parent skill use during BPT is known to influence child outcomes post-treatment, while less research has focused on specific child factors that may be impacting parent skill utilization during treatment. The current study examined associations between child organizational skills and emotion dysregulation (ED) with parent treatment adherence during BPT and post-treatment child ***: Parents of 72 children (Mage = 8.31) with ADHD symptoms and impairment participated in BPT which was embedded in a 12-week, multicomponent, school-based intervention for children delivered by school mental health clinicians. Outcomes included parent treatment adherence and child improvements in global impairment ***: Greater pre-treatment child organizational problems were associated with less parent treatment adherence regardless of ADHD symptom severity. Worse pre-treatment child ED was associated with more impairment post-treatment regardless of ADHD symptom severity whereas the effects of child ED on parent treatment adherence were moderated by child ADHD symptom ***: The current study suggests that pre-treatment child ED and organizational difficulties impact parent treatment adherence to behavioral interventions targeting ADHD symptoms, potentially in unique ways, and should be considered in future BPT treatment studies.

BackgroundThe aims of this study were to modify the widely used BodyThink program to suit the circumstances of Korean schools and determine its effects on body esteem, body image, appearance stress, depression, and attitudes toward cosmetic *** were 184 third-grade students from two middle schools in Korea, who were randomly assigned to a control or intervention group. Two of the participants dropped out;hence, data from 182 students were analyzed. The control group received the existing curriculum for 4 sessions, and the experimental group was provided with 4 sessions of the revised BodyThink program. Before and after the intervention, all participants completed *** the BodyThink group, improved body image, decreased depression, and positive improvements in attitudes toward cosmetic plastic surgery were observed after the *** results suggest that school health nurses can utilize interventions based on BodyThink program in their curricula to improve the physical and emotional health of *** registrationThis study has been retrospectively registered with the Clinical Research information Service (CRIS) in Korea on October 5, 2023 (KCT0008839).

C(sp 3 )–Cl bond activation has incredible potential to be used in the formation of C(sp 3 )–C(sp 3 )-rich compounds, which are highly desirable in the pharmaceutical field. However, cross-coupling of alkyl chlorides to produce C(sp 3 )–C(sp 3 ) bonds has not yet been achieved due to the inherent limitations of the C(sp 3 )–Cl bond. Despite this, alkyl chloride starting materials are commercially abundant and accessible. Thus, being able to generate radicals from alkyl chlorides that form quaternary products has a great possibility to impact organic reactions and drug synthesis. In this paper, the bimolecular homolytic substitution reaction (SH2) between primary and tertiary alkyl chlorides is proposed, key bond formations are shown, and yields are listed. BTMG, Fe(OEP)Cl, [Ir(F(Me)ppy)2dtbbpy]PF6, and (TMS)3SiNHAdm were used alongside various primary chlorides and tertiary chlorides in a photoreactor using blue light. Data was analyzed using UPLC, NMR, and liquid chromatography. The highest yield of desired cross-coupled product was at 67% where benzyl chloride was the limiting reagent. The reaction was also achieved using other primary chlorides, and the reaction scope and optimization have significant potential to be further researched.

To assess the effectiveness of applying the digital game-based approach, this study explored the correlation between GSE for using an Escaping Room App, named Brain Challenge, epistemic value of game experience, hedonic value of game experience, and learning progress in a junior high school performing arts course. A total of 186 valid data were collected after Brain Challenge practices for structural equation modeling. The results showed that GSE was positively related to hedonic value and epistemic value, and could also positively predict learning progress in the performing arts course. The results imply that performing arts teachers can implement learning content in an escape room to motivate students with high levels of GSE to learn performing arts. © 2024 e-learning and Digital learning. Credit card use is becoming more and more commonplace every day. Financial organizations and credit card customers lose a lot of money because of complicated illegal transactions. Fraudsters constantly stay on top of new technology to quickly perpetrate fraud against customer transaction patterns. We analyze credit card transaction networks and identify suspicious patterns, such as transactions connected to multiple accounts or unusual transaction patterns, transactions made at unusual times, and to monitor credit card transactions in real-time and quickly identify suspicious transactions. TigerGraph is used to analyze data, display results on a dashboard, and send notifications via email. One meth'\ Vc 1``13-od commonly used in anomaly detection is to compare data values against the standard deviation. In this research, we explain the use of TigerGraph as a platform for anomaly detection above the standard deviation, as well as the use of the Louvain algorithm in finding merchant communities used by fraudsters. The data used in this study comes from Sparkov simulation data obtained from Kaggle. Our results show that by using TigerGraph, we managed to achieve a very high accuracy rate of 99.77%, precision 82.84%, recall 72.38%, and f1-score 77,26% in predicting transaction fraud on Sparkov simulation data. This is much better than the results reported in a paper that uses the supervised machine learning method with the AdaBoost algorithm which achieves the highest accuracy of 77%. © 2023 The Authors. Research evidence indicated that a specific type of augmented reality–assisted (AR-assisted) science learning design or support might not suit or be effective for all students because students’ cognitive load might differ according to their experiences and individual characteristics. Thus, this study aimed to identify undergraduate students’ profiles of cognitive load in AR-assisted science learning and to examine the role of their distinct profiles in self-efficacy together with associated behavior patterns in science learning. After ensuring the validity and reliability of each measure, a latent profile analysis confirmed that 365 Chinese undergraduates carried diverse dimensions of cognitive load simultaneously. The latent profile analysis findings revealed four fundamental profiles: Low Engagement, Immersive, Dabbling, and Organized, characterized as carrying various respective cognitive loads. The multivariate analysis of variance findings revealed different levels of the six AR science learning self-efficacy dimensions across profiles. Low Engagement students displayed the lowest self-efficacy among all dimensions. Organized students recorded better conceptual understanding and higher-order cognitive skills than Dabbling ones. Students with the Immersive profile had the highest science learning self-efficacy. The lag sequential analysis results showed significant differences in behavior patterns among profiles. Among them, profiles with social interaction, test, and reviewing feedback behavior had a significantly higher score for self-efficacy than those patterns mainly based on test learning and resource visits. This finding provides a unified consideration of students’ diverse profiles and can inform interventions for effective design of AR-assisted science learning to match appropriate strategies to facilitate the science learning effect. © 2023, National Science and Technology Council, Taiwan.
