Physiological response of premature infants due to the administration of pseudostem banana nest innovation to the incubator

In this study, innovation of banana pseudostem nest was conducted to assess the physiological response of premature infants due to the provision of pseudostem banana nest innovation in the incubator. This innovation is needed because premature babies need conditions that promote physiological response functions to increase body temperature, gain weight and assess changes in oxygen saturation. Unfortunately, so far there is no temperature stabilizer in the incubator, the incubator is made of electric and heating elements only so that some physical parameters cannot be accommodated with the incubator. Therefore, this paper proposes the innovation of pseudostem banana nest because it has a 400% water absorption level, a higher temperature stabilization on the fibers in commonly used materials. This study measures physiological responses. The research procedure begins with the manufacture of dried banana pseudostem ingredients, making pseudostem banana nest from banana midribs and coated with a cloth shaped like a hand containment. This research uses a quasi-experimental design method with pre-post test control group design. The sampling technique used was nonprobability sampling by consecutive sampling. A sample of 30 preterm infants was divided into 15 control group samples, 15 intervention group samples. Action procedure, the researcher treated the intervention group by placing nest pseudostem banana in the incubator until it surrounded the premature baby for three consecutive days. Measurements were made on parameters of body temperature, weight, oxygen saturation before and after intervention in the control group and intervention group for three consecutive days. The results of this study were obtained significant differences in body temperature, oxygen saturation before and after given nest pseudostem banana with a p-value of 0.001; 0.003. The instrumentation for the sensing of natural disaster phenomena as like as landslide instrumentation has acquired great importance for the instrumentation community. The novel instrumentation for landslide application has been made and calibrated using Horizontal Coplanar (HCP) coil orientation. The early instrumentation for landslide slopes was gradually equipped with standard and automatic instrumentation consisting of three the piezometric cells, two deep-seated steel wire extensometers, four in clinometric tubes, a rainfall gauge, a snow gauge and an air thermometer. This novel instrumentation works in electromagnetic methods similar with electromagnetic methods in geophysics. HCP coil orientation is a coplanar array where both coils are horizontal. In HCP, the depth of sounding is about 1.5 times of the coils separation which have maximum coupled configuration (HCP, VCP, and Vertical Coaxial configuration). The overburden response had inverted the percent value of maximum negative response then there were three maximum response amplitude peaks. Measurement and data processing were performed using a computer through Delphi program. The diagonal cross sections of the overburden as the centre were the maximum value of inverted response of anomaly positions. In aluminium thin plate overburden, the diagonal cross section point as the overburden centre was the maximum value of inverting value of the highest minimum response amplitude. The measurement graphic in the computer screen with several types of overburdens would be displayed. As the result, that the overburden widths for overburden were determined by subtracted of two turning points positions. The overburden positions were accurate for Type P overburden. The master curve had a high anomaly contrasts with two of positive anomaly peaks. Otherwise, the anomaly positions were between two of the negative anomaly peaks.

Disordered stealthy hyperuniform materials are exotic amorphous states of matter that have attracted recent attention because of their novel structural characteristics (hidden order at large length scales) and physical properties, including desirable photonic and transport properties. It is therefore useful to devise algorithms that enable one to design a wide class of such amorphous configurations at will. In this paper, we present several algorithms enabling the systematic identification and generation of discrete (digitized) stealthy hyperuniform patterns with a tunable degree of order, paving the way towards the rational design of disordered materials endowed with novel thermodynamic and physical properties. To quantify the degree of order or disorder of the stealthy systems, we utilize the discrete version of the τ order metric, which accounts for the underlying spatial correlations that exist across all relevant length scales in a given digitized two-phase (or, equivalently, a two-spin state) system of interest. Our results impinge on a myriad of fields, ranging from physics, materials science and engineering, visual perception, and information theory to modern data science.

Several classification methods assume that the underlying distributions follow tree-structured graphical models. Indeed, trees capture statistical dependencies between pairs of variables, which may be crucial to attain low classification errors. The resulting classifier is linear in the log-transformed univariate and bivariate densities that correspond to the tree edges. In practice, however, observed data may not be well approximated by trees. Yet, motivated by the importance of pairwise dependencies for accurate classification, here we propose to approximate the optimal decision boundary by a sparse linear combination of the univariate and bivariate log-transformed densities. Our proposed approach is semi-parametric in nature: we non-parametrically estimate the univariate and bivariate densities, remove pairs of variables that are nearly independent using the Hilbert-Schmidt independence criteria, and finally construct a linear SVM on the retained log-transformed densities. The Event Horizon Telescope (EHT) observations carried out in 2018 April at 1.3 mm wavelengths included 9 stations in the array, comprising 7 single-dish telescopes and 2 phased arrays. The metadata package for the 2018 EHT observing campaign contains calibration tables required for the a-priori amplitude calibration of the 2018 April visibility data. This memo is the official documentation accompanying the release of the 2018 EHT metadata package, providing an overview of the contents of the package. We describe how telescope sensitivities, gain curves and other relevant parameters for each station in the EHT array were collected, processed, and validated to produce the calibration tables. This research examines the forecasting performance of wavelet neural network (WNN) model using published stock data obtained from Financial Times Stock Exchange (FTSE) Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) 50 index, also known as Taiwan Stock Exchange Capitalization Weighted Stock Index (TAIEX), hereinafter referred to as Taiwan 50. Our WNN model uses particle swarm optimization (PSO) to choose the appropriate initial network values for different companies. The findings come with two advantages. First, the network initial values are automatically selected instead of being a constant. Second, threshold and training data percentage become constant values, because PSO assists with self-adjustment. We can achieve a success rate over 73% without the necessity to manually adjust parameter or create another math model. © The Authors, published by EDP Sciences, 2017.

Disordered hyperuniform heterogeneous materials are new, exotic amorphous states of matter that behave like crystals in the manner in which they suppress volume-fraction fluctuations at large length scales, and yet are statistically isotropic with no Bragg peaks. It has recently been shown that disordered hyperuniform dielectric two-dimensional cellular network solids possess complete photonic band gaps comparable in size to photonic crystals, while at the same time maintaining statistical isotropy, enabling waveguide geometries not possible with photonic crystals. Motivated by these developments, we explore other functionalities of various two-dimensional ordered and disordered hyperuniform cellular networks, including their effective thermal or electrical conductivities and elastic moduli. We establish the multifunctionality of a class of such low-density networks by demonstrating that they maximize or virtually maximize the effective conductivities and elastic moduli. This is accomplished using the machinery of homogenization theory, including optimal bounds and cross-property bounds, and statistical mechanics. We rigorously prove that anisotropic networks consisting of sets of intersecting parallel channels in the low-density limit, ordered or disordered, possess optimal effective conductivity tensors. For a variety of different disordered networks, we show that when short-range and long-range order increases, there is an increase in both the effective conductivity and elastic moduli of the network. Moreover, we demonstrate that the effective conductivity and elastic moduli of various disordered networks derived from disordered "stealthy" hyperuniform point patterns possess virtually optimal values. We note that the optimal networks for conductivity are also optimal for the fluid permeability associated with slow viscous flow through the channels as well as the mean survival time associated with diffusion-controlled reactions in the channels. We study efficient solution methods for stochastic eigenvalue problems arising from discretization of self-adjoint partial differential equations with random data. With the stochastic Galerkin approach, the solutions are represented as generalized polynomial chaos expansions. A low-rank variant of the inverse subspace iteration algorithm is presented for computing one or several minimal eigenvalues and corresponding eigenvectors of parameter-dependent matrices. In the algorithm, the iterates are approximated by low-rank matrices, which leads to significant cost savings. The algorithm is tested on two benchmark problems, a stochastic diffusion problem with some poorly separated eigenvalues, and an operator derived from a discrete stochastic Stokes problem whose minimal eigenvalue is related to the inf-sup stability constant. Numerical experiments show that the low-rank algorithm produces accurate solutions compared to the Monte Carlo method, and it uses much less computational time than the original algorithm without low-rank approximation. Functional outlier detection and taxonomy by sequential transformations

Functional data analysis can be seriously impaired by abnormal observations, which can be classified as either magnitude or shape outliers based on their way of deviating from the bulk of data. Identifying magnitude outliers is relatively easy, while detecting shape outliers is much more challenging. We propose turning the shape outliers into magnitude outliers through data transformation and detecting them using the functional boxplot. Besides easing the detection procedure, applying several transformations sequentially provides a reasonable taxonomy for the flagged outliers. A joint functional ranking, which consists of several transformations, is also defined here. Simulation studies are carried out to evaluate the performance of the proposed method using different functional depth notions. Interesting results are obtained in several practical applications.
