Conflicting design goals for users who are not purchasers such as toys and baby products is obviously a greater challenge for packaging design. Using computer game as a case study, this research derives an optimal design strategy to respond to the conflicting goals between that of users and purchasers. In the present initial stage of research tool development, the study found that a number of contradictory on preferences between children and parents existed. Most research tools are proved valid with small flaw to be corrected. Additional indicators on perceived affordance, safety, and value should be added for comparison reasons.

Mockup is a scale or full-sized model that used for demonstrating and evaluating the functionality of a design. It is only in-plemented in a large project that having similar room patterns to reduce the risk of poor design. This research is to identify the corelationship between the number of rooms (or the project size) and the mockup investment cost to find the decision-making point. The research methodology is to build the perspective picture of VIP in-patient rooms as the Stimuli approach and build the same realistic full-sized rooms as the mockup then applying the systematic research implication to learn and synthesize the results to investigate the functionalities, environmental perceptions and cost-benefits ratio in order to evaluate the corelationship between the cost effectiveness and the estimated optimum number of rooms. In addition, data collection from the same hospital staffs, patients, and other service receivers will be conducted by questionnaire survey and close observation. The data will be complied vis-à-vis the results from mockup and stimuli methods to establish the decision-making baseline.

Retail business has the environment reflect their unique identity. This research thus aims, firstly, to study the unique corporate retail identity. Secondly, it aims to examine the, type of product, sale activities, and storage system toward spatial needs of the sale environment. Finally, the research investigates the physical appearance conveying seasonal identity and meaning responsive to purchasers’ perception towards the final design guideline recommendation. The research anticipates that the case study could find a pattern of how people perceive and react to the built environment, and it could also reveal a proper research methodology to reveal environment and behavior pattern.

Recent literatures empirically proved that spatial arrangements, interior ambient environment and architectural legibility are features reflecting corporate distinctiveness. This study endeavors to examine the linkage between corporate strategic orientation and its environmental design as corporate identity, focusing on visual and spatial design features. The objectives of the research are to study factors determining the design which conveys the corporate strategies, to investigates clients’ perceptions vis-a-vis the existing corporate design and finally, establish the relationship between the environmental identity design and corporate strategies. The primary purpose of graphic map design was to determine the factors for each types of map that can meet the demand of the tourists who are different in their destination. The graphic map factors enable us to know the target group and type of map they used that provides the accurate information corresponding to their actual need. Methodologically, the simulation viewing questionnaires were used to examine the opinion and need of the tourists whose interest was different with the type of map they used. In case study, the sample included the foreign tourists in Bangkok territory. This paper examined the graphic map design factors that meet the tourist's need. The results are expected to be used as useful guidelines for map design that satisfies the tourists in context of Thai social and cultural environment that can be recognized at international level. It's not only useful to those tourists, but also to general people.

Window displays, as a part of selling strategies, not only convey the type and positioning of mechanize, but also the promotional strategies and corporate images. The study uses window displays for clothing to examine patterns, selling strategies, merchandize types, and target groups. It investigates the effects of design elements on the customers’ perceptual responding to configurations. The theoretical framework bases on marketing concepts, visual perception principles, Gestalt psychology, and design's principle and elements. Sixty undergraduates, ages 18-23, participated as research subjects. Results derive a design guideline for window displays towards the designated type of intended perception for the particular group.

Physical environment of urban centres often conveys different message to visitors and dwellers. Psychological processes–perception, cognition, and recognition–guide dwellers and strangers to perceive and act on the particular district's functionality differently. This research attempts to identifies features embodied the physical environment conveying the district functionality. The research tools are specially designed to investigate the perception and recognition of young urbanites on the differentiations of five major districts in Bangkok. Questionnaires with visual stimuli are used to inquire information from undergraduate students. The study aims to derive the urban features conveying district message and propose the design guidelines.

This research aims to investigate problems and prospects leading to universal public rest room design for the mobility impaired to facilitate their accessibility and usability in the Thai anthropometric and behavioral contexts. The research examines the spatial barrier, the extent of mobility constraints, user's behavior, and the needs for enabling environment. By means of BME testing, the research endeavors to derive the spatial and dimensional solutions. Areas of interest to be explored include circulation areas for rest room access, major activity areas around the toilet bowl and lavatory, and spatial/height measurements for face/hand washing and teeth brushing activities.
