There are many problems faced by people who stand for hours at billing counter after shopping, even though crowds are avoided everywhere, shopping mall billing queue isn't reducing since ages. Since the world relies on automation today, everyone has to automate processes which consumes time, money and efforts wherever possible. The technique related with the use of Raspberry Pi, LCD display and Webcam helps the people to bill the groceries within the shopping cart. It reduces consumption of time and their energy can be conserved which can't happen when they stand in a queue for billing process. User have to scan the object in front of webcam and LCD display allows them to add purchased items along with their price and quantity. They can also remove the product fromthe cart and it will be automatically removed. At the end of process, payment can be made online using a QR code or UPI. The Bill will be generated to their respective mail or it will be sent as SMS. User have to register or Log in when they start shopping. Automatic detection is possible without any inspection behind. The model is much portable and does not face any problem in its operation. When compared with the existing methods the processor, display along with its webcam accuracy is much better, it does not require complete continuous guidance and maintenance upon its usage. The need to push the cart has been eliminated as the cart can move along/follow the user autonomously.

To derive efficient sorting architectures constrained to application-specific input/output conditions, we present in this paper a systematic design methodology that can effectively prune dispensable compare-and-swap (CAS) units. Unlike the previous works resorting to heuristic approaches, the proposed framework exploits the zero-one principle to validate the pruning of a CAS unit at a time, generating the cost-optimized sorter architecture in an iterative manner with a reasonable complexity. In addition to the given input/output constraints, we newly develop the architecture options for the proposed framework, allowing more design spaces for finding the most attractive constrained-sorter design. For 8-list polar decoders, the proposed framework successfully reduces 70% of CAS units in the baseline full sorter, relaxing the area-time complexity by 35% compared with the state-of-the-art solutions.

We sought to revolutionize the classification of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) by pioneering an innovative approach that seamlessly integrated auditory and visual tests with electroencephalogram (EEG) coherence analysis, forming the foundation for our Support Vector Machine (SVM) models. Our primary objective was to achieve precise differentiation between individuals with ADHD and those without, aiming to reshape the landscape of ADHD diagnosis and early intervention. We constructed an SVM model based on CATA coherence, incorporating a carefully selected set of 180 features, and another grounded in CPT coherence with 70 features. Astonishingly, our exploration uncovered that a model incorporating CATA's coherence and Power Spectral Density (PSD) as features achieved an astounding accuracy rate of 97.7%, using only half the number of features. This revelation hints at untapped potential for multivariate advancements in the realm of ADHD classification. The landscape of ADHD diagnosis and intervention is perpetually evolving, most notably with the FDA's approval of game therapy for ADHD. Leveraging the transformative power of our findings, we envision the development of user-friendly game therapies for in-home use, empowering both clinicians and parents alike. This marks a paradigm shift in the realm of ADHD intervention, offering objective, data-driven tools for the early management of ADHD. Gamified therapy not only enhances accessibility but also fosters engagement and compliance, all of which are pivotal in the long-term care of individuals with ADHD. In summary, our study represents a significant advancement in our comprehension and classification of ADHD. By fusing auditory and visual tests with EEG coherence analysis, fortified by state-of-the-art machine learning techniques, we have achieved an unprecedented level of accuracy in identifying individuals with ADHD. The electrically evoked compound action potential (ECAP) has been used in various clinical studies and has become a key physiological signal for cochlear implants (CI). This study used four sensing electrodes to record ECAP signals based on the alternating polarity approach. An electrical field imaging (EFI) result based on the finite element method was used to obtain the interface impedance, then ECAP simulation results were computed and compared with a patient's clinical ECAP measurements. Preliminary modeling results show that the interface impedance obtained by this EFI-based technique can improve the simulation accuracy of the ECAP model. The ECAP modeling result will be compared with clinical ECAP measurements to validate the model in the full paper.

Introducing passivation molecules has been being considered as one of effective strategies to reduce surface crystal defects and hence improve the performance and stability of perovskite solar cells (PSCs). In this paper, we report the effects of organofluorine molecules, specifically trifluoroacetic acid (TFA), added in the ethyl acetate (EA) anti-solvent on the characteristics of MAPbI3 based PSCs, which are related to interfacial surface states, band bending characteristics and charge extraction processes. Anti-solvents with several volume fractions of TFA were used in the perovskite layer deposition step by the spin-coating technique. The current density vs. voltage (J–V) curve hysteresis was suppressed while the PSC stability and the PSC performance repeatability of the fabrication results were much improved in PSC prepared using EA anti-solvent with moderate volume fraction of TFA (i.e. 5% v/v). These PSC samples were also characterized by measurements of impedance photovoltaic spectroscopy (IMVS) and transient photovoltaic (TPV). By performing TPV measurements at various dc light biases, an unusual delayed TPV decay component with a long rise part was observed, especially at PSCs prepared with moderate volume fractions of TFA in EA anti-solvent. The infra-red (FTIR) spectroscopy and X-ray Photoemission Spectroscopy (XPS) data showed that TFA removed uncoordinated or weakly bonded MA+ cations and I− anions at the NCs surface but leaving the accumulation of Pb2+ cations on the surface. This condition causes the formation of surface states leading to a downward band bending at the MAPbI3/HTL interface, which is responsible to the observation this delayed TPV decay component. However, this situation improves the PSC performance by minimizing the effect from mobile ion migration. These present measurement results thus clearly&

This study presents a more accurate evaluation method for assessing ankle spasticity compared to conventional goniometric techniques by utilizing measurements obtained from Inertial Measurement Units (IMU) and surface electromyography (sEMG) devices. Integrating IMU and EMG sensors provides substantial benefits for accurately determining the range of motion (ROM) associated with spasticity during targeted movements. In this study, the proposed method provides precise measurement and an objective evaluation of onset time detection of antagonistic muscle co-contraction, and accordingly the ROM of the actuated joint. Moreover, the implementation of cost-effective wearable sensors enables the monitoring of muscle spasticity in clinical environments and can be particularly valuable in regions with limited access to experienced therapists, providing a more efficient approach to tracking spasticity levels.

This study focused on designing a motorcycle speed limiter using GPS with throttle modification. The study was brought about the increase in road accidents involving motorcycle vehicles tagged to be overspeeding and some not wearing helmets. The designed system focused on controlling the throttle of the motorcycle through a microcontroller and a GPS. Also, communication from the helmet to the motorcycle was established to complete the system functionality. The system does not allow the use of the said motorcycle once the rider does not wear the helmet prescribed for the said motorcycle. Speed control of the designed system relies solely upon the GPS, making it different from typical sensory for speed and PID algorithm applied in servo motor to control the throttle acceleration. The selected road stretch was assigned 30 kph,40kph, and 60 kph, respectively. Initial tests showed a responsive rate of all parameters of the helmet and LCD design. © 2021 IEEE.

The ubiquity of smartphone and tablet devices, combined with the increasing availability of serious games, has enabled students to learn various abstract concepts in an appealing and convenient manner. While several researchers have explored the use of Augmented Reality (AR) in serious games, many of these games have not been critically explained or evaluated. To that end, we employed game-based learning methodologies and Game Learning Analytics (GLA) to systematize the design and evaluation of an AR-based serious game to teach programming. We evaluated our game for usability and effectiveness by conducting a user study on twenty-seven undergraduate students. The evaluation primarily consisted of a learning test conducted twice – before and after playing the game – along with a usability questionnaire that players completed after playing the game. Our results showed that players made significant progress after playing the game. The game helped players improve their basic programming skills, especially for the group having lower prior programming skills. The results highlighted various ways in which GLA can be used to benefit different stakeholders in the game. Based on players’ qualitative responses, we also identified several areas of improvement, most prominently the trade-off between ease of use and game complexity. We provide suggestions and discuss implications for future work. © 2022 Elsevier Ltd
