Effective uncertain fault diagnosis technique for wind conversion systems using improved ensemble learning algorithm

This paper introduces a pioneering fault diagnosis technique termed Interval Ensemble Learning based on Sine Cosine Optimization Algorithm (IEL- SCOA), tailored to tackle uncertainties prevalent in wind energy conversion (WEC) systems. The approach unfolds in three integral phases. Firstly, the establishment of interval centers and ranges, employing upper and lower bounds, effectively manages the inherent uncertainties arising from noise and measurement errors intrinsic to the wind system. Subsequently, the dataset undergoes processing via the Sine-Cosine Optimization Algorithm (SCOA), enabling the extraction of the most pertinent attributes. The culmination of predictive precision and classification performance is achieved through the integration of the refined dataset into an ensemble learning paradigm, harmonizing bagging, boosting techniques, and an artificial neural network classifier. The principal aim of the IEL-SCOA approach is to discern the spectrum of operational conditions within WEC systems, encompassing a healthy mode alongside six distinct faulty modes. These anomalies, encompassing short circuits, open circuits, and wear-out incidents, are deliberately induced at diverse locations and facets of the system, notably the generator and grid sides. Empirical results underscore the robustness and efficiency of the proposed methodology, showcasing an exceptional accuracy rate of 99.76 %. These outcomes definitively establish the IEL-SCOA approach as a potent and efficacious tool for precise fault diagnosis in uncertain WEC systems. © 2023

The generation and replication of network traffic are essential tasks for testing, analyzing, simulating, and evaluating the behavior and efficiency of systems, protocols, applications, and network services. However, it faces various challenges and limitations when generating or replicating network traffic in a realistic, responsive, and scalable manner, using appropriate models. This work proposes a modeling of a program for generating and replicating network traffic, called Forensic Training Traffic Generator (ForTT-Gen), aims to address the challenge associated with generating and replicating network traffic generated by malware by creating files that can be used in the analysis of network packets inherent to forensic analysts' training. ForTT-Gen is a tool that can generate and replicate network traffic using a hybrid model that combines the replication of real data and the generation of synthetic data through statistical techniques. Experimental results demonstrate the model's ability to reliably. Accurately reproducing the statistical patterns of the original traffic, is evidenced by a determination coefficient of 1 and a Pearson coefficient of 0.9, all within a 0,58 confidence interval with 95% certainty. © 2024 IEEE.

Skin cancer's increasing incidence rates necessitate advanced diagnostic tools. This research uses MobileNet architecture to develop an enhanced system for skin cancer detection. MobileNet's efficient CNN architecture, combined with Keras for model lifecycle management and TensorFlow for real-time inference, forms the foundation of this study. Using 10,015 dermatoscopic pictures from seven different classifications of skin cancer in the HAM10000 dataset, the methodology includes several key stages: image preprocessing to correct illumination and adjust resolution, data augmentation to balance the dataset, and model training using Transfer Learning. The MobileNet model was trained over 50 epochs with a comprehensive architecture incorporating multiple specialized layers. By combining large-scale data analysis and adaptive learning, this methodology demonstrates The revolutionary possibilities of AI and ML in improving skin cancer diagnostics and public health outcomes. To address the limitations of typical coil detection systems and enhance the performance of traditional magnetic field imaging (MFI) systems, we propose a MFI system that uses a 4×4 array of anisotropic magnetoresistance (AMR) sensors. The core controller of the proposed system was designed using a pipelined parallelization algorithm and implemented on a high-speed field-programmable gate array (FPGA) in a fully hardware-based architecture. The designed MFI system can achieve parallel acquisition of magnetic field components from the 16-channel AMR sensor array, parallel data processing, parallel data transmission, and parallel computations in a single cycle of only 4 ms. Compared with typical detection systems, the proposed solution not only exhibits superior performance but can also provide dynamic visual representations of sensed information. © 1963-2012 IEEE.

Software quality assurance is a crucial process that ensures software products meet specified requirements and quality standards. Achieving an exhaustive test coverage is essential for quality assurance, particularly in complex and dynamic Process-Aware Information Systems (PAIS) built upon the Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN). Manual testing in such systems is challenging due to many execution paths, dependencies, and external interfaces. This paper proposes a model-based testing strategy that uses BPMN models and build specifications as input to generate a Robotic Process Automation (RPA) script that automates a comprehensive User Acceptance Test procedure. Leveraging on Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to automate user interactions allows for reducing the need for testers to manually input PAIS-related information when handling user forms. Artificial intelligence was recently implemented in various fields. One of these applied artificial intelligence systems was the Performance Monitoring System "SiMoniK"for MSMEs. This system was designed through the C4.5 algorithm and the Porat-Rank method. The C4.5 algorithm was applied to classify the MSMEs into three classifications, e.g. the micro enterprise classification, the small enterprise classification, and the medium enterprise classification. Moreover, the Porat-Rank method was also applied to distribute the solving-problem recommendations and to improve the independence of MSMEs. The result of this study was that the C4.5 algorithm could classify the MSME data correctly in the form of an accuracy value of 99.2%. Besides, the Porat-Rank method could also provide recommendations in the form of outstanding quality with an NDCG mean value of 0.87. © 2023 IEEE.

In this study, two deep learning models for automatic tattoo detection were analyzed;a modified Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) and pre-trained ResNet-50 model. In order to achieve this, ResNet-50 uses transfer learning with fine-tuning. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, and computational efficiency of the system being considered. To augment the dataset included 1000 photos that were equally divided between those showing tattoos and those that did not show tattoos. A k-fold cross-validation approach was employed in training and testing the models. Although custom CNNs are effective, utilizing pre-trained ones like ResNet-50 can offer even better outcomes. Specifically, ResNet-50 attained a higher accuracy (0.86 compared to 0.79), precision (0.85 versus 0.78), recall (0.91 against 0.86), and F1-score (0.91 vis-a-vis 0.86) as compared to custom CNNs. In selecting these models for examination, two main motivations were considered. The first motivation is to see whether transfer learning with a pre-trained ResNet-50 model does well when compared with a customized CNN designed specifically for tattoo detection. Secondly,the intent of this study is to know what advantages can be derived from each approach and their demerits too. Furthermore, it seeks to determine if transfer learning can provide an alternative in contrast to the common CNN techniques with regards to precision and computational efficiency. In this research, two models will be evaluated in order to answer the question of what is better for tattoo detection: transfer learning or designing custom architectures. © 2024 IEEE.

Technological advancements are increasingly evident across various sectors, including automobiles, industry, and healthcare. In precision agriculture, significant progress has been made, with AgroTICs and Smart Agriculture gaining substantial traction in the market. However, a gap remains between cutting-edge technology and family farming, presenting a challenge from both social and applied research perspectives. However, there is still a gap between cutting-edge technology and family farming, which creates a challenge from a social and applied research point of view. In this context, this paper proposes a monitoring model based on Fuzzy Logic and sensor automation applied to estimate the health of a corn crop. The proposed Fuzzy inference system involves calculating an indicator of nutrients as well as the average color and area of corn plants. The nutrient indicator is automatically computed by an ESP32 microcontroller using sensor readings, while the average color and area inputs are manually entered via a mobile application. Additionally, the Fuzzy inference is integrated into the ESP32. The model underwent experimental validation on the health of the plantation, and the results were evaluated in four areas: one was designated for testing, and three were for validation. The model achieved an accuracy of 97.5% in Scenario 3, categorized as 'Very Favorable', and an accuracy of 65% in Scenarios 2 and 4, categorized as 'Unfavorable'. The implications of this research contribute to the advancement of AgroTICs among small producers, with the potential to enhance and automate the monitoring of their harvest production. © 2024 IEEE.

Floods are the most frequent disaster events in Lhoksukon, resulting in significant losses and community and environmental damage. Floods are generated by several factors, consisting of hydrometeorological, topographical, geological, soil, and human activities. Topography is a key controlling factor in flood initiation. Topographic analysis for detecting flood susceptibility, especially flood inundation, can be conducted using the TWI. The research aims to identify the potential spatial distribution of flood-prone areas based on TWI and assess the model accuracy using the ROC-AUC method. A case study was conducted in the Kr. Keureuto watershed. of North Aceh. TWI analysis is based on the topography of an area denoted by extracting DEM using GIS to create slope, flow direction, and flow accumulation. Higher TWI values are associated with higher flood susceptibility. The results show that the value of TWI is approximately 1.571-27.147, showing that more than 20% of area are potentially flood inundations with high and very hight rating of flood susceptibility. Furthermore, based on the analysis using field observation flood is obtained the AUC value of 71,60%. It can be concluded that the spatial model of flood-prone using TWI is good and effective for determining flood prone region in the Kr. Keureuto River basin © 2024 Institute of Physics Publishing. The implementation of a patient monitoring system and infusion automation which aims to ensure regular and periodic monitoring of inpatient conditions are applied in this system. This embedded system is applied in hospitals and addresses the uneven distribution of healthcare workers in Indonesia, particularly in remote areas. Currently, manual checks by nurses can lead to errors and reduced patient comfort. The improvement supervision is developed in this work. The system monitored body temperature, oxygen saturation, blood pressure, heart rate, and automated infusions. All the embedded systems are connected to Internet of Things (IoT) and a real-time database accessible through an application and web. This system allows doctors and hospital authorities to make decisions based on patient condition history. The testing phase of the system shows four data acquisition devices (temperature, oxygen saturation, blood pressure, and heart rate), an ESP 32, and Firebase as a database, have ability to capture and send real-time data every five seconds and can be accessed by doctors, patients, and hospital authorities. © 2024 IEEE.
