The place attachment theory is a scientific part of the relationship between human behavior and built environment study. The built environment study explains the existence of a building and its landscape. The place attachment theory has been used in studying the relationship between human behavior with a religious and historic environment during its development. However, nowadays, this research rarely conducted and often carried out partially. As a consequence, the result analysis is only partially. This study proposed a holistically place attachment to provide a broader discourse in examining the relationship between human behavior and the built environment holistically. Moreover, place attachment theory will be used to preserve the historical religious built environment. In addition, the literature review from the previous studies and discussion methods are essential to support the research. The result shows that there is an opportunity to conduct a study of place attachment theory in supporting the preservation of the historical religious built environment. Thus, the holistic result can be obtained using the place attachment theory, which is the combination of place identity, place dependence, place affect, and place social bonding. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Aquatic organisms are increasingly affected by polystyrene nanoplastics (PSNPs), which have the potential to disrupt development, induce oxidative stress, and impair immune function. This study examined the effects of PSNPs on zebrafish (Danio rerio) embryos exposed to 0.01, 0.1, 1, and 10 μg/mL from 2 to 120 h post-fertilization (hpf). The findings indicated that developmental abnormalities occurred in a dose-dependent manner, including delayed hatching, decreased survival rates, reduced body length, smaller eye diameter, and enlarged yolk sac area. PSNPs accumulated in the chorion and yolk sac as early as 6 hpf and were detected in vital tissues, such as the eyes, heart, yolk sac, liver, pancreas, intestine, neuromasts, and tail, immediately after hatching. By 120 hpf, PSNPs significantly reduced swimming distance and velocity. Exposure to PSNPs induced oxidative damage evidenced by altered expression of antioxidant-related genes (CAT1, GPX1A, SOD1, NRF2, KEAP1, HSP70, MT), disrupting cellular homeostasis and causing structural and organ defects. Immune toxicity was marked by dysregulated expression of immune-related genes (IL-1β, IL-6, NF-κB, TNF-α, C3B, TLR-1, TLR-3, TLR-4), indicating inflammation and innate immune activation triggered by oxidative damage. This study highlights the interconnected impacts of developmental abnormalities, oxidative damage, and immune toxicity caused by PSNPs exposure, highlighting the systemic impacts of nanoplastics contamination in aquatic environments. © 2025 Elsevier Inc.

Batik production in home industries needs support wastewater treatment in a limited space. Therefore, a modular-type, lab-scale wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) with a capacity of 87.75 liters and a dimension of 1.5 m × 0.75 m × 1 m has been constructed. The WWTP combines three significant processes: equalization, neutralization, and adsorption. This study focuses on the monitoring systems for the pH neutralization process. The system uses four microprocessors in a Master/Slave architecture and the I2C protocols for data communication between processors. The measuring instruments include pH, temperature, turbidity, and flow rate sensors. The actuators consist of submersible and peristaltic pumps. The operating range of pH, temperature, turbidity, and flow rate sensors are 0-14, 25-81.44℃, 0-3000 NTU, and 6.49-20.84 ml/s respectively. The pumps work in Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) mode with an operating range of 125-225 PWM. All sensors and actuators operate linearly within the operating range with a correlation coefficient of 0.97-1. © 2023 Institute of Physics Publishing. All rights reserved.

Pyrolysis is one of the thermal cracking methods to convert hydrocarbon to liquid *** quantity and quality of the process are dependent on several condition including temperature,reaction time,catalyst,and the type of ***,a gasoline fraction was maximum product to be considered in the pyrolisis ***,this study aims to increase the gasoline fraction in liquid fuel using stepwise pyrolysis with a long bed catalytic reactor downstream(LBCR).The LBCR downstream was equipped with the top and bottom outlet and the fed source was mixed municipal solid waste(MMSW).The activated natural dolomite at 500℃ was used to allow the repetition of the secondary ***,the reactor temperature was setup at around 200℃-300℃ and the pyrolizer was 400℃.To analyze the gasoline fraction and physical properties of liquid fuel,Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectroscopy(GC-MS)and ASTM standard were *** experimental results showed there was a significant increase in the gasoline fraction of liquid fuels compared to using direct catalytic cracking and absence of *** using a LBCR at 250℃,the liquid fuel obtained at top outlet(TO)and bottom outlet(BO)have 84.08 and 56.94 percent peak area of gasoline fraction(C5-C12),*** average value(TO and BO)of the fraction at 250℃ by LBCR was 70.51 percent peak area and it was increased by about 93.6%and 51.14%compared to without catalyst and direct catalytic,***,pyrolytic liquid oils were found to have kinematic viscosity of 2.979 and 0.789 cSt,density of 0.781 and 0.782 g/cm^(3),and flash point<−5℃ for BO-250 and TO-250 liquid fuel,*** results showed BO liquid fuel was comparable to diesel conventional fuel while TO liquid fuel was comparable to ***,the presence of LBCR made a major contribution to generate multi secondary cracking and to produce more gasoline fraction from mixed MMSW feedstock,as well as to increase the physical properties of l

Solar-powered dryers are still expensive and difficult to obtain for farmers with medium to low production capacity. For this reason, it is necessary to develop technology on a solar-powered dryer with a solar panel capacity of 200WP is equipped with a maximum power point tracker as an integrated solar collector with a photovoltaic system. The system in this solar-powered dryer consists of a solar panel tracker, a rotating aluminum cylinder net, a photovoltaic tracker, a battery bank, a microcontroller, and a DC/AC inverter. This system improves the performance of solar panels in the drying process of Moringa leaves. This design is expect to be the right system to ensure maximum results by providing solar radiation energy in the drying process of agricultural products. The aims goal to minimize problems in the drying of agricultural products experienced by farmers using an automatic dual-energy solar-powered dryer as a development innovation for the drying process. This study uses an experimental methodology and field data collection using a solar-powered dryer that has been analyzed and measured to obtain data comparisons. shows the maximum data of voltage and power response in positioning photovoltaic to produce the increased output power of photovoltaic array. Maximum application of powerpoint tracker on microcontroller based dual energy solar powered dryer on solar panels for drying moringa leaves produces the advantage of maximum energy absorption in solar panels and shortens the time in the drying process of moringa leaves. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Curugmuncar II micro hydro power (MHP) located in Petungkriyono sub district is one of three MHPs installed in Pekalongan district. This study aims to analyze the MHP operation environmental impact. The study used qualitative method, with interviews, observations, and material testing. The data used are primary and secondary data. This research was conducted in Curugmuncar Village, Petungkriyono Subdistrict, Pekalongan Regency, Indonesia. MHP has power capacity of 100 KW with power usage of 50 KW. MHP used by 155 users with load capacity 2 A 220 volt AC. The community more used of lights as the houses and street lighting. The MHP operation had several environmental factors such as: Sociology, technically feasible, hydrology, physical and chemical water quality, ergonomics, economically feasible, irrigation, clean water supply, government policy, and others. The supporting factors sustainability of MHP were sociology, irrigation, ergonomics, clean water supply, physical and chemical water quality, hydrology, and government policy. The inhibiting factors of MHP operation were technically feasible, economically feasible, and government policy. The results showed that the MHP environment requires a professional management system to achieve the MHP sustainability. © 2018 The Authors, published by EDP Sciences.

Voice synthesizers still present several challenges in the speech of mathematical content, as spoken mathematics has quite peculiar rules. In the synthesized speech, pauses help blind and visually impaired students identify the limits of mathematical operators and subexpressions. However, most studies on pauses define them uniformly or use simple punctuation marks to force the synthesizer to introduce pauses in certain parts of the expression. Speech is a dynamic process and pauses in expressions also need to be dynamic to make the synthetic speech of expressions more natural, as this can help in memorizing this type of content. This work proposed a dynamic model of pauses for mathematical expressions. Collected math expressions spoken by teachers were used to create the model. These expressions were useful for identifying patterns and creating a linear regression model. Blind and visually impaired students evaluated the model. Some improvements were observed when we compared the synthesized mathematical expressions with the model and Audiomath, the parameter tool used in this study. © 2022 ACM.

High-tightness woven fabric (HTWF) density measurements have been developed using image analysis. In this study, the measurement of HTWF density is based on the three-dimensional surface structure of the fabric using the stereo photometry method. The woven fabric image was recorded with two fields of view (FOV). In each FOV, the image was recorded six times with different light directions. The unbiased stereo photometry algorithm was used to reconstruct the six images, resulting in a three-dimensional surface structure. The Hough transform detects and corrects the reconstructed image's skew. The yarn position is obtained using the fabric surface structure profile. Finally, the weft and warp profile curves were smoothed using a locally weighted smoothing (LOESS) filter. The measurement error of woven fabric density at FOV 1 for twill weave patterns with errors in warp 2.88 to 5.83% and weft 1.69 to 4.93%, and satin weave patterns with errors in warp 1.15 to 2.93% and weft 0.96 to 3.22%. While the measurement error of woven fabric density at FOV 2 for twill weave patterns with errors in warp 0.25 to 1.31% and weft 0.28 to 1.82%, and satin weave patterns with errors in warp 0.04 to 1.01% and weft 0.04 to 0.82%. © 2023 IEEE.

Polycaprolactone (PCL) is an important polymer due to its mechanical properties, miscibility with a large range of other polymers and biodegradability. Polycaprolactone (PCL) was chosen as the matrix because of its biodegradability characteristics. This paper reports on an investigation of the influence of the presence of bentonite. It was found that of bentonite significantly influenced the mass loss behavior of the nanocomposite because of physical interactions between the clay and the polymer chains and degradation volatiles. Melt drawing of the composite, however, had little influence on the degradation behavior of the investigated samples. Based on mechanical properties results, addition of bentonite significantly enhances the flexibility of PCL blends. TGA showed that the presence of bentonite improves thermal stability of blends. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

As a village that later developed into an area that resembled a colonial city at that time, Depok Lama had a concept of residential space that was different from the colonial settlements that existed during the Dutch colonial period. In other colonial settlements, the concept of settlement was the result of a design from the Dutch government, in the Depok Lama settlement the concept of residential space was formed from the activities of citizens directed by a will. This method is used to find a detailed picture based on facts about the beginning of the formation of Depok lama settlement through collecting Depok Lama maps, Chastelein's will, and observing city artifacts. The results of this study note that the concept of space that was applied at the beginning of the formation of the Depok Lama settlement was an unplanned concept of sustainability, prioritizing easy access to various main facilities in the Depok Lama settlement, forming a comfortable environment for the residents of Depok Lama in building their lives and improving they socio-economic quality. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.
