This paper presents an analysis of the modeling of reactive power compensation using renewable energy from sunlight through photovoltaic to eliminate harmonic signals in the electricity network with a three-phase active power system filter. Electric energy supply comes from three-phase electricity sources in the form of a sinusoid. Non-linear loads such as electronic devices and electrical equipment connected to the grid generate harmonics signals;can make the format of electrical energy distorted. This nonlinear load draws electric current in the form of non-sinusoid. This format increases Total Harmonic Distortion (THD), thereby worsening the performance of electrical equipment. An active power filter is a very effective method in reducing harmonics signals and increasing the quality performance of electricity. This power filter works by injecting compensation current into the grid. The energy that is injected comes from the direct current output voltage (DC) of the photovoltaic link stored in the capacitor via a Voltage Source Inverter (VSI) switch. The compensation current has the same format as the harmonics current but differs in 180°. The main parts of this power filter include the Reference Signal Generating Unit, PI Controller, VSI Switch Signal Ignition Gate Generator, Energy Storage Circuit (Battery), and Photovoltaic. Simulation modeling using Matlab Simulink Tools to reduce THD levels by IEEE 519 standards. Simulation results show a significant decrease in Total Harmonic Distortion (THD), where the grid before compensation contains THD of 29.74% and after injection of 2.25%. So this modeling is worth proposing as an active filter in a power system. © 2020 IEEE.

Moving objects detection is considered as one of the prime safety indicators in the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). For implementing on resource-limited embedded platforms and still yield sufficient frame rate and quality, the paper proposes a lightweight multi-head single shot detector (SSD) model that strengthens the moving object detection significantly. The paper also introduces focal loss method to deal with imbalance problem of detecting pedestrians and bikes in training datasets (vehicles, bikes, and pedestrians). Lastly, the proposed lightweight network can be deployed on low-power embedded devices to achieve real-time processing performance (512x256) yielding 30fps. © 2020 IEEE.

According to several researchers reporting, it was reported that organic pollutants dissolved in water were increasing. One of these increasing pollutants is aspirin. Our study aimed to remove aspirin in pharmaceutical wastewater by electrocoagulation, using an aluminum plate (15 cm x 4 cm x 0.5 cm) as an anode and a carbon plate (15 cm x 4 cm x 0.5 cm) as a cathode. Aspirin-containing organic pollutant samples (artificial) were prepared by dissolving aspirin purchased from a pharmacy in distilled water of varying concentrations. Before and after the sample is purified by the electrocoagulation process, its character is measured. pH, color, chemical oxygen demand (COD), turbidity, density, and conductivity were measured. The differences in the character of organic pollutants (aspirin) before and after electrocoagulation were explained from various points of view, such as electrode distance, initial pH, current density, and contact time. The kinetic processes that occur are also observed and reported. Indicators of soluble aspirin pollutants, such as pH, color, turbidity, density, and conductivity, decreased significantly. Furthermore, the dissolved aspirin pollutant was associated with research variables such as electrode distance, initial pH, current density, and contact time. Electrocoagulation can be considered an alternative method to treat wastewater containing aspirin pollutants. © 2022 Science Press. All rights reserved.

The field of sensor applications has witnessed substantial growth in diverse domains, including agriculture, food, oil, environment, and medicine. Among the varied methodologies employed, electrochemical methods stand out. The judicious selection of appropriate materials in this context significantly augments sensor efficiency. Zeolitic Imidazolate Framework 67 (ZIF 67), a highly porous material with an expansive surface area, offers facile synthesis, yet is impeded by limited conductivity. The introduction of additional metal derivatives has been reported to enhance its conductivity, with manganese, a transition metal, identified for its potential conductivity improvement and its influence on particle size. Thus, this paper aims to comprehensively explore the properties of manganese-modified ZIF 67, spanning structural, morphological, and electrochemical properties. Research findings indicate that manganese doping enhances crystallinity, as evident from X-ray diffraction analysis, while also impacting particle size (from x¯ 514.4 nm to 944 nm), as assessed through SEM measurements. Furthermore, electrochemical performance reveals heightened peak current during redox processes reaching ±64 μA, indicative of improved conductivity from the ZIF 67 (±13 μA) and the bare (±43 μA). In light of these outcomes, this material emerges as a promising candidate for electrochemical sensor development. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

A reliable transmission link for High-speed rail scenarios (HSR) requires denser networks as the unique characteristics of HSR propagation emerged. In this study, we present a performance analysis of the Received Signal Level (RSL) for HSR in the free space environment as the most favorable propagation. To achieve an excellent reception, the study of path loss from the implementation of optimization technique is utilized as the most important property in the analysis. The findings demonstrate a satisfying RSL result that was achieved from the optimized path loss values. Hence it will benefit the HSR network designers to obtain a reliable transmission link in their communication's domain. © 2022 IEEE.

This paper examines the thermal condition aspects of traditional Acehnese houses (Rumoh Aceh) in Indonesia. This study highlights the importance of considering traditional architecture in achieving comfortable living conditions. Through the integration of cultural values, architectural design, and environmental factors, this research evaluates the prediction of thermal conditions within Rumoh Aceh based on building orientation and location, serving as guidelines for architects in designing buildings in the Aceh region. The study employs an ANN (Artificial Neural Network) algorithm to predict thermal condition parameters including indoor: temperature, humidity, and wind speed. The sample data used to train the ANN model consists of thermal data from five different rooms and meteorological data. The ANN model is employed to predict the thermal conditions in the Rumoh Aceh building based on its orientation and location. In this study, two models were developed, namely MODEL_01, for predicting indoor temperature and humidity, and MODEL_02, for predicting indoor wind speed. In MODEL_01, the error tolerance level obtained is ±1.05, and in MODEL_02, it is ±0.03. The prediction results based on the building orientation show the lowest average indoor temperature value of 29.19 °C, occurring at an angle of 292.19°. Furthermore, the lowest average indoor humidity value is 74.57 %, which also occurs at an angle of 292.19°. However, for indoor wind speed, the angle of 260° records the lowest average value of 0.125 m/s, while the highest average value is observed at 292.19°, at 0.132 m/s. The prediction results based on the building's location show the lowest average temperature value, which is 29.44 °C in the Aceh Besar region. Furthermore, the lowest average humidity value is 75.11 % in the North Aceh region. Meanwhile, the highest average wind speed value is 0.174 m/s in the Sabang region. We successfully fabricated silicon-on-insulator (SOI) photonic crystal (PhC) slabs in which electromagnetic topological band gaps and edge modes were materialized for symmetric transverse-electric-like modes. Because the structure of our specimens can be regarded as symmetric about the horizontal middle plane of the PhC slab, their symmetric and antisymmetric eigenmodes were rigorously separated, so we could achieve genuine photonic band gaps for the former. We fabricated those specimens by electron beam lithography of the top Si layer of SOI wafers and successive plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition of a SiO2 capping layer. We confirmed the complete common band gap of topologically trivial and nontrivial PhCs and the topological edge modes on the boundary between them by angle-resolved reflection spectroscopy in the mid-infrared range. This is an observation of the common band gap and edge modes that materialized in symmetric PhC slabs without a membrane structure, that is, without the etching of a sacrificial layer under the PhC to increase the refractive-index contrast and the width of the common band gap.

Following 40 years of reform and opening up, India's economy has achieved a new peak, with rural ecommerce emerging as a key driver of this expansion. As the state's policy continues to develop to encourage rural ecommerce, the sector has opened up a big historical opportunity, with the size of the market growing and the sector's social awareness rising rapidly. With the widespread use of big data networks, big data-driven, AI-powered e-commerce has also grown rapidly in recent years. The use of electronic commerce is more common in urban regions than in rural ones. As part of the plan for 'revitalizing the countryside,' widespread use of ecommerce in rural regions will be a major step toward bolstering the rural economy. The growth of this route has the potential to strongly encourage the modernization of antiquated production techniques in rural regions while also improving the accessibility and efficiency of the flow of agricultural goods inside India and so facilitating their eventual export. The third-party distribution model was used as the logistics approach, and agricultural items from Mysore City, such as paddy and vegetables, served as the primary research objects to illustrate the utility of the Novel Colony Algorithm in the context of rural e-commerce. The issue of the third-party distribution model is examined through the process of model building. In light of this, PyCharm is used to determine the shortest path and total cost using a novel colony algorithm. In this research, we evaluate the models and conduct analyses of the efficiency and cost issues that arise when changing the parameters. © 2022 IEEE.

The Choi-state is an indispensable tool in the study and analysis of quantum channels. Considering a channel in terms of its associated Choi-state can greatly simplify problems. It also offers an alternative approach to the characterisation of a channel, with properties of the Choi-state providing novel insight into a channel's behaviour. The rank of a Choi-state, termed the Choi-rank, has proven to be an important characterising property, and here, its significance is further elucidated through an operational interpretation. The Choi-rank is shown to provide a universal bound on how successfully two agents, Alice and Bob, can perform an entanglementassisted exclusion task. The task can be considered an extension of super-dense coding, where Bob can only output information about Alice's encoded bit-string with certainty. Conclusive state exclusion, in place of state discrimination, is therefore considered at the culmination of the super-dense coding protocol. In order to prove this result, a necessary condition for conclusive k-state exclusion of a set of states is presented in order to achieve this result, and the notions of weak and strong exclusion are introduced. The purpose of this study is to find out the improvement of students' communication skill of STKIP Muhammadiyah Bone in using learning strategy of 3S. Design of this study was experimental research Quasi Experimental Design using Nonequivalent Control Group Design.
