Light steel framing using the Cold-Formed Steel (CFS) sections is one of the Industrialized Building Systems (IBS) highly recommended for our construction industry; it not only contributes to speeding up construction time and reducing material usage but also guarantees the quality of the building. A relentless study has been conducted to achieve the appropriate configuration to ensure CFS popularity by introducing different types of joints applicable in constructing lightweight steel framing. A review of the CFS joint is provided in this study. The CFS joint is focused on the beam-column joint, apex and eaves, and truss joint. The study is mapped to establish research trends on CFS joints. Some areas show limited study and need future research on the proposed joints’ structural behavior aspects.

Membrane surface modification is one of the simplest ways to enhance the anti-fouling attribute of a polyethersulfone (PES)-based membrane. This paper compared two modification methods of PES membranes using dragon blood resin (DBR) additive via blending in the dope solution and coating a pristine PES membrane. The effect of modification methods was evaluated based on the properties and performances of the resulting membranes. Results show that the DBR-blended membrane exhibits higher water permease but lesser humic acid rejection than the DBR-coated membrane. Characteristics of contact angle, porosity, and pore size showed linear results on permease performance. The FTIR spectrum did not reveal any new groups but differed only on peak intensity. The DBR-coated membrane showed excellent anti-fouling properties as demonstrated by a flux recovery percentage of > 350%.

Indonesia has a very high potential for solar energy irradiation, including in 66 countries in the sunbelt area. This can be alternative for power generation system that converts energy sources from solar radiation into electricity through solar cells or photovoltaic cells. This research goal is to develop an initial decision support model for the photovoltaic village area in South Sumatra, Indonesia. This research was conducted six months in Pandan Arang Village, Kandis District, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra. As the result, the proposed model is consisted of four sub-system, including photovoltaic system, data logger, database management and decision support system. Based on the results of experiments on solar panels with the parameters of current, voltage and light intensity, the highest value of light intensity was 1989.1 W/m2, while the voltage and current of 15.49V and current of 14.91 A were displayed through a 16x2 LCD display which served as information display in real time. The expected result in this study is an alternative fault detection PV system in the form of normal conditions, shadows, and overloads.

The decline in physical, cognitive, and sensory functions for most elderly people leads to the development of several health issues such as memory loss, a tendency to fall, dizziness, and reduced ability to care for oneself independently. These can be mitigated using devices designed to monitor vital signs and human activity such as a smart band. However, the application of a smart band is characterized by a disadvantage which involves storing user data in the vendor's cloud and only one device can access the client applications. Therefore, nurses, doctors, and family members cannot simultaneously analyze data and receive alerts when abnormal conditions occur in elderly patients. This study aims to develop a system capable of monitoring the health conditions of multiple elderly individuals and sending alerts during abnormal conditions based on the heart rate value read by the smart band sensor. The process involved installing a database on the Raspberry Pi to store data while a monitoring system was built on the Node-RED platform to display elderly health data and made it accessible locally. The detection of an abnormal heart rate condition in the elderly patient leads the system to send notifications via telegram to multiple receivers registered in the system using their telegram identity.
