Tourism and the hotel business have benefited greatly from the use of digital social networking. Using social big data research, the application of deep learning seems to have been beneficial in a marketing strategies and customer preference estimate. Recognizing human psychology, which is critical to industrial success, has benefited greatly from digital technology and social media. The Internet of Things (IoT) provides a chance for a hotel sector to improve the customer experience although lowering operational expenses. The ratings are determined by the following factors: Value, Apartment, Location, Hygiene, Front Office, Facilities, Professional Service, Internet, and Parking. Traditional techniques which anticipate hotel evaluations through minimal precision add difficulty to the rating assessment. As a result, efficient deep learning algorithms are employed to evaluate reviews designed to help consumers in selecting better hotels. To predict qualities, multiple classification techniques, including convolutional neural network-based deep learning (CNN-DL) and support vector machine (SVM) network-based deep learning, were used in this research. The system examines system efficiency by using the TripAdvisor website, this is a well American database. The research results reveal that the CNN-DL method outperforms another method in terms of classification efficiency and failure *** graphical results could also be utilized to enhance the effectiveness of the suggested model and offer insights into response tactics, demonstrating the study's academic and conceptual achievements. Although it is feasible to conclude from such research that the possibility of IoT within the hotel industry has not yet been fully investigated, as researchers commonly speculate on using IoT for implementations that might quickly be of involvement to a hotel sector, but refuse to recognize that possibility as a massive market. © 2022 The Author(s)

Biofilm carriers play an important role in attached growth systems for wastewater treatment processes. The purpose of this study is to study the ability of plastic polyethylene terephalate (PET) waste bottles in wastewater treatment for small scale residential. Then its performance is compared with some communal Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTPs) that use other supporting media and those that do not use media. The study was conducted at five WWTP locations in the city of Padang, West Sumatera. The results show that the WWTP that uses supporting media in organic and nutrient removal in wastewater treatment on a small scale WWTP is better than the one that does not use the supporting media.

Maintenance and rehabilitation as parts of pavement's life cycle become more important since it's an effort to restore the road condition as planned. This process will produce the emission of greenhouse gases that give an impact to the environment. The Live Cycle Assessment (LCA) was used to estimate the GHG's emissions. With LCA we could identify the unit process that will produce the GHG's emissions during maintenance and rehabilitation of road pavement. This research aimed to identify the unit processes of the maintenance and rehabilitation of rigid and flexible pavement and to analyse the amount of GHG emitted during this process. Four local roads in Indonesia were investigated as case studies. The result indicated the amount of energy of the unit processes as well as the GHG amount. This will lead to the identification of the hotspot of flexible and rigid pavement maintenance process. In rigid pavement maintenance activities, the hotspots included the asphalt transport process to asphalt mixing plant, cement transportation to the batching plant, and cement processing. Meanwhile, in flexible pavement maintenance activities, the hotspots were the asphalt transportation to asphalt mixing plant, transportation aggregate, and transportation to site. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Research on runway pavement is very local, meaning that it is strongly influenced by the quality of the material, the quality of implementation in the field and the climate in which the runway is built. In Indonesia, there are not many runway pavement studies. On the other hand, most airports in Indonesia only have one runway. If there is any damage, the airport should be closed. Based on these conditions, it is necessary to research the behaviour of runway pavement. On the other hand, research on runway pavement has been widely carried out in several developed countries. This study examines various existing studies to be used as a methodology in similar research in Indonesia. A review of the runway behaviour research is carried out by identifying the methodology related to using sensors to describe the pavement reaction in accepting the load. These methods were evaluated to assess their possible application in Indonesia. With the obtained results related to the pavement behaviour monitoring method, it is hoped to provide an initial step to identify runway pavement behaviour in Indonesia.

Metabolic engineering strategies to produce medium-chain oleochemicals via acyl-ACP:CoA transacylase activity

Microbial lipid metabolism is an attractive route for producing aliphatic chemicals, commonly referred to as oleochemicals. The predominant metabolic engineering strategy centers on heterologous thioesterases capable of producing fatty acids of desired size. To convert acids to desired oleochemicals (e.g. fatty alcohols, ketones), metabolic engineers modify cells to block beta-oxidation, reactivate fatty acids as coenzyme-A thioesters, and redirect flux towards termination enzymes with broad substrate utilization ability. These genetic modifications narrow the substrate pool available for the termination enzyme but cost one ATP per reactivation - an expense that could be saved if the acyl-chain was directly transferred from ACP- to CoA-thioester. In this work, we demonstrate an alternative acyl-transferase strategy for producing medium-chain oleochemicals. Through bioprospecting, mutagenesis, and metabolic engineering, we developed strains of Escherichia coli capable of producing over 1 g/L of medium-chain free fatty acids, fatty alcohols, and methyl ketones using the transacylase strategy. © 2021, CC BY.

Large industrial emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from the petrochemical industry are a critical concern due to their potential carcinogenicity. VOC emissions vary in composition depending on the source and occur in mixtures containing compounds with varying degrees of toxicity. We proposed the use of carcinogenic equivalence (CEQ) and multivariate analysis to identify the major contributors to the carcinogenicity of VOC emissions. This method weights the carcinogenicity of each VOC by using a ratio of its cancer slope factor to that of benzene, providing a carcinogenic equivalence factor (CEF) for each VOC. We strategically selected a petrochemical industrial park in southern Taiwan that embodies the industry's comprehensive nature and serves as a representative example. The CEQs of different emission sources in three years were analyzed and assessed using principal component analysis (PCA) to characterize the major contributing sectors, vendors, sources, and species for the carcinogenicity of VOC emissions. Results showed that while the study site exhibited a 20.7 % (259.8 t) decrease in total VOC emissions in three years, the total CEQ emission only decreased by 4.5 % (15.9 t), highlighting a potential shift in the emitted VOC composition towards more carcinogenic compounds. By calculating CEQ followed by PCA, the important carcinogenic VOC emission sources and key compounds were identified. More importantly, the study compared three approaches: CEQ followed by PCA, PCA followed by CEQ, and PCA only. While the latter two methods prioritized sources based on emission quantities, potentially overlooking less abundant but highly carcinogenic compounds, the CEQ-first approach effectively identified vendors and sources with the most concerning cancer risks. This distinction underscores the importance of selecting the appropriate analysis method based on the desired focus. Understanding the dynamical behavior of complex systems from their underlying network architectures is a long-standing question in complexity theory. Therefore, many metrics have been devised to extract network features like motifs, centrality, and modularity measures. It has previously been proposed that network symmetries are of particular importance since they are expected to underly the synchronization of a system’s units, which is ubiquitously observed in nervous system activity patterns. However, perfectly symmetrical structures are difficult to assess in noisy measurements of biological systems, like neuronal connectomes. Here, we devise a principled method to infer network symmetries from combined connectome and neuronal activity data. Using nervous system-wide population activity recordings of the *** backward locomotor system, we infer structures in the connectome called fibration symmetries, which can explain which group of neurons synchronize their activity. Our analysis suggests functional building blocks in the animal’s motor periphery, providing new testable hypotheses on how descending interneuron circuits communicate with the motor periphery to control behavior. Our approach opens a new door to exploring the structure-function relations in other complex systems, like the nervous systems of larger animals. © 2024, CC BY.

Following 40 years of reform and opening up, India's economy has achieved a new peak, with rural ecommerce emerging as a key driver of this expansion. As the state's policy continues to develop to encourage rural ecommerce, the sector has opened up a big historical opportunity, with the size of the market growing and the sector's social awareness rising rapidly. With the widespread use of big data networks, big data-driven, AI-powered e-commerce has also grown rapidly in recent years. The use of electronic commerce is more common in urban regions than in rural ones. As part of the plan for "revitalizing the countryside," widespread use of ecommerce in rural regions will be a major step toward bolstering the rural economy. The growth of this route has the potential to strongly encourage the modernization of antiquated production techniques in rural regions while also improving the accessibility and efficiency of the flow of agricultural goods inside India and so facilitating their eventual export. The third-party distribution model was used as the logistics approach, and agricultural items from Mysore City, such as paddy and vegetables, served as the primary research objects to illustrate the utility of the Novel Colony Algorithm in the context of rural e-commerce. The issue of the third-party distribution model is examined through the process of model building. In light of this, PyCharm is used to determine the shortest path and total cost using a novel colony algorithm. In this research, we evaluate the models and conduct analyses of the efficiency and cost issues that arise when changing the parameters.

Dual filler nanohybrid membrane PSf-TiO2/rGO for enhancing nanofiltration performance in rubber wastewater treatment

Application of nanofiltration membrane in wastewater treatment is restricted by fouling formation during filtration process that decrease the performance. The development of novel membrane material by incorporating dual filler TiO2 and reduced graphene oxide rGO into polysulfone (PSf) for improving its separation and antifouling properties. The nanohybrid membrane was fabricated by adopting the non-solvent induced phase separation (NIPS) method. The characterization results showed that the addition of TiO2 and rGO increased the hydrophilic properties of the membrane. The filtration experiment of natural rubber wastewater treatment revealed that the permeate flux was achieved up to 22.7 L.m−2h−1 and the rejection efficiency of COD, and ammonia were up to 90% and 81%, respectiverly. The fouling resistance evaluation showed that the dual filler nanohybrid membrane has total resistance four times lower than that of pristine PSf membrane.

Motorists driving around looking for parking spaces has negative impacts such as increasing traffic jams, noise, air pollution, wasting fuel, and panic. A smart parking system providing information on the availability of parking spaces is needed. This study aims to develop a parking system by providing information on the availability of car parking spaces. Classification of car parking spaces using Sufflenet V2 is by trimming it. Based on the tests carried out, pruning was on the number of Sufflenet V2 output channels. This trimming produces the smallest Mini Shufflenet size with almost half the parameter number of mAlexnet and less than 1/10 times the number of FLOPs of mAlexnet. Mini Shufflenet has better accuracy than mAlexnet in processing time per image that is almost the same as mAlexnet. Mini Shufflenet implemented is on low-end computing devices such as the Raspberry Pi for real-time data classification. So this architecture can be implemented in a low-cost parking system.
