This paper analyses trends in private vehicle ownership in developing countries, namely in Indonesia. In the last few years private vehicle ownership has increased very sharply in line with economic growth, rapid urbanization growth, significant population growth and ineffective and efficient transportation system services. In 2011, Indonesia's population had reached more than 240 million people, more than 17 million private vehicles and more than 11 million drivers. As usual, income has become a major factor influencing private vehicle ownership. However, population growth also affects ownership of the number of private vehicles. Besides other factors such as government policies, vehicle financing, household characteristics and travel behaviour. Therefore this paper tries to analyse the level of income and the level of population growth and also other factors that affect vehicle ownership in Indonesia, especially in the western part of Indonesia, the city of Banda Aceh. The city of Banda Aceh is located in the westernmost region of the archipelago, a city that is growing after the earthquake and Tsunami. Banda Aceh city has population more than 223.446 in 2010 and increase 10 per cent for the last five years. Private vehicle mode ownership is related to negative impact as well as congestions, accidents, unavailability of parking lots, noise, health problem, pollutions and other problem. Seeing the many negative effects of increasing the number of private vehicle ownership so that it becomes an arduous task for policy makers. The results of the study show that there is a strong relationship between income growth and population growth with the level of private vehicle ownership..

This paper presents a comparison study of modulation techniques of data communication in Communication-Based Train Control (CBTC) Systems applied to HST for Jakarta-Bandung. The signalling system is the most crucial part of HST as the center of operation control. CBTC systems are the next generation of signalling technology that adopts the integration of equipment on trains and land base by using wireless communication to collect position information and control signals from trains. The systems can reduce wayside equipment significantly and facilitate other advantages such as high traffic densities and the adoption of single-driver or unmanned trains. The general-purpose 2.4 GHz band usage, which is appropriate for many different regions. The CBTC system has also been made robust enough to prevent signal interferences from other wireless users and reliable for any mission-critical situations. However, LTE-R wireless communication supports more advanced broadband applications to help public safety and railway organizations compared to GSM-R. The ability of Long Term Evolution (LTE) wireless communications has been undoubtedly chosen by the leading professional mobile radio communication which faster supports mission-critical voice and broadband services in the future. GMSK modulation (Gaussian Minimum Shift Keying) is proven as an effective form of modulation for GSM-R. Signal transmission phases in the GMSK scheme are continuous and being smoothed by a Gaussian filter. Meanwhile, QPSK (Quadrature Phase Shift Keying) is a suitable modulation scheme for LTE-R. In QPSK, dual information bits are combined into a symbol which is immediately modulated by nominating one within the four possible carrier phase shift states without using another carrier frequency. In the implementation, the selection of the modulation techniques is based on the required specifications and affordability of the infrastructures.

The learning methods used by teachers in schools in Serang City are very ineffective, especially during the pandemic. This is because not integrated content of material in one subject with other subjects. Never mind between subjects, sometimes the material is not well integrated. The purpose of this study is to provide an alternative learning method during a pandemic, namely a method that integrates material with the realities of life which is abbreviated as IMR (Integrated Realistic Material). The method in this research is Research and Development (RnD) with the ADDIE model. In making this learning method according to the stages from the ADDIE study. The results of this study are in the form of learning methods that are integrated with the realities of life during the pandemic.

The weakness of an outdoor solar water heater (SWH) experiments is the difficulty in determining its thermal behavior. The fluctuation of solar radiation intensity causes the supply of energy received by SWH also fluctuate. The result is that the thermal behavior of the SWH cannot be known for specific parameters. This paper aims to investigate the thermal behavior of an active type SWH containing paraffin wax using the constant heat flux method. A phase change material (PCM) inserted into the capsule. The capsules were arranged in a tank to form a heat exchanger (HE). The thermocouples were mounted both on the waterside and the PCM side. The solar simulator installed on the top of the collector, and the SHW system placed indoors. The heat flux and water flow were set at 1000 W/m2 and 2 LPM, respectively. The temperatures of water and PCM for 143 minutes charging recorded. The data obtained were used to analyze the thermal behavior of water and PCM. The results showed that the average heating rate of water and PCM was 0.227 °C/min and 0.205 °C/min, respectively. The value of this adjacent average heating rate shows that HE has functioned well in removing heat energy from water. The accumulated thermal energy produced was 13.08 MJ. Indoor experiments can reveal the thermal behavior of the SWH-PCM systems.

Surface water is commonly used as a source of clean water, but increasingly, surface water is contaminated with various foulants. Humic acids (HAs) are a natural organic matter predominant in ground and surface waters. HAs can reduce the quality of water. This study aims to investigate the results adding magnesium hydroxide, or Mg(OH)2, to modify polyethersulfone (PES) membranes by determining the characteristics and performance of the membranes. The mixed-matrix membranes were prepared using PES and various amounts of modified Mg(OH)2 (0%, 1%, and 1.5% wt) as nanoparticle additives. A scanning electron microscope (SEM), Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), and water contact-angle analysis were used to characterize the membranes, followed by a membrane performance test (flux, permeability, and selectivity of the membrane) using a dead end ultrafiltration module. It can be concluded that Mg(OH)2 can improve the hydrophilicity of PES membrane with decreasing the water contact angle from 84.2° (pure PES membrane) to 68° (modified membrane), where ultrafiltration membranes with the highest permeability coefficient are obtained at 1.5% wt of Mg(OH)2 with a value of 41.94 L/*** and a rejection percentage of 67.72%.

Communication skill is of local Bugis-Makasar one of skill needed in mathematical learning in order that the students can solve the problem in social life particularly economic mathematic. Integration of local tradition sipakatau, sipakainge and sipakalebbi consists of philosophy which can increase students' communication skill. The purpose of this study is to find out the improvement of students' communication skill of STKIP Muhammadiyah Bone in using learning strategy of 3S. Design of this study was experimental research Quasi Experimental Design using Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Based on the results of this study can be concluded that the earning strategy of 3S is effective in improving student's communication skill in economic mathematics in STKIP Muhammadiyah Bone not only on students' cognitive side but also affective and psychomotor side.
