Resilient control of flexible hypersonic vehicles against unmatched distributed faults

This paper studies a robust fault compensation and vibration suppression problem of flexible hypersonic *** controlled plant is represented by a cascade system composed of a nonlinear Ordinary Differential Equation(ODE)and an Euler-Bernoulli Beam Equation(EBBE),in which the vibration dynamics is coupled with the rigid dynamics and suffers from distributed faults.A state differential transformation is introduced to transfer distributed faults to an EBBE boundary and a longitudinal dynamics is refined by utilizing T-S fuzzy IF-THEN rules.A novel T-S fuzzy based fault-tolerant control algorithm is developed and related stability conditions are *** robust exponential stability and well-posedness are proved by using the modified l_(0)-semigroup based Lyapunov direct approach.A simulation study on the longitudinal dynamics of flexible hypersonic vehicles effectively verifies the validity of the developed theoretical results.

This paper considers the problem of approximating the infinite-horizon value function of the discrete-time switched LQR *** particular,the authors propose a new value iteration method to generate a sequence of monotonically decreasing functions that converges exponentially to the value *** method facilitates us to use coarse approximations resulting from faster but less accurate algorithms for further value iteration,and thus,the proposed approach is capable of achieving a better approximation for a given computation time compared with the existing *** numerical examples are presented in this paper to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Aircraft final assembly line(AFAL)involves thousands of processes that must be completed before ***,the heavy reliance on manual labor in most assembly processes affects the quality and prolongs the delivery *** the advent of artificial intelligence of things(AIoT)technologies has introduced advancements in certain AFAL scenarios,systematically enhancing the intelligence level of the AFAL and promoting the widespread deployment of artificial intelligence(AI)technologies remain significant *** address these challenges,we propose the intelligent and collaborative aircraft assembly(ICAA)framework,which integrates AI technologies within a cloud-edge-terminal *** ICAA framework is designed to support AI-enabled applications in the AFAL,with the goal of improving assembly efficiency at both individual and multiple process *** analyze specific demands across various assembly scenarios and introduce corresponding AI technologies to meet these *** three-tier ICAA framework consists of the assembly field,edge data platform,and assembly cloud platform,facilitating the collection of heterogeneous terminal data and the deployment of AI *** framework enhances assembly efficiency by reducing reliance on manual labor for individual processes and fostering collaboration across multiple *** provide detailed descriptions of how AI functions at each level of the ***,we apply the ICAA framework to a real AFAL,focusing explicitly on the flight control system testing *** practical implementation demonstrates the effectiveness of the framework in improving assembly efficiency and promoting the adoption of AIoT technologies.

Electric vehicles (EVs) have experienced an unprecedented increase in their penetration;in well developed countries;due to the advancement of battery technology and the need to make transportation more environmentally friendly. As a result of this trend, EVs have become an integral part of those countries power grid ecosystem, where they may be used as both a source, and a consumer of energy. However, cybersecurity risks associated with large fleets of EVs within the power grids can significantly impact the normal operation of distribution systems. This paper considers the cyber-attack consequences, from attackers' perspective. The cyber attackers under study target the charging price (CP) by increasing the CP in off-peak hours and accordingly subsiding it in on-peak hours. A two-stage optimization framework is proposed to identify the most important ultra-fast charging stations (XFCs) under the cyber-attack, meanwhile, the EV users' response to the compromised CP is considered. Then, the proposed model is implemented on a modified IEEE 123-bus distribution test system, and the effectiveness of the model is proved through some case studies. In particular, they demonstrated that the amount of load shedding is increased by 8.198 MW when the EV user response is taken into account. © 2023 IEEE.

In order to accurately and quickly recognize electrical devices and abnormal heating parts under infrared conditions, we propose a lightweight neural network-based method for identifying electrical devices and their abnormal heating parts. First, we construct a fast target detection network for real-time detection. Second, we propose an efficient feature retention module to avoid the feature loss problem in multi-layer convolutional operations. In addition, we introduce an attention mechanism based on the coordinate information interaction strategy to localize the target more accurately. Finally, we use a lightweight weighted bidirectional feature pyramid network to improve the detection accuracy at different scales. Experimental results on a dataset of 12109 electrical infrared images containing six types of electrical devices and anomalously heated areas show that the proposed method achieves good results, with an average recognition accuracy of 93.9% and a processing speed of 222 frames/second. © Beijing Paike Culture Commu. The Rural Hybrid Renewable Energy system (RHRES) holds great significance as a prospective energy system development. Ensuring its economic viability and low-carbon operation is crucial in order to fully harness its potential. Consequently, this research paper presents a multi-party cooperation operation model for RHRES, based on the Nash bargaining theory. To effectively differentiate between the various parties involved in carbon trading and guarantee the system's low-carbon operation, a ladder-type multi-party carbon trading model is formulated. The proposed RHRES cooperation operation model, grounded in Nash bargaining, is approached in two steps: determining the transaction volume between parties and resolving the transaction price through the concept of equivalent transformation. To address concerns regarding party privacy, the alternating direction multiplier method is employed for solution. The numerical findings demonstrate that the suggested cooperation operation model substantially reduces RHRES operating costs and carbon emissions, while enhancing the utilization of wind and solar power. Consequently, this model holds significant practical and promotional value. © 2024 SPIE.

Due to the dispersed and disorderly feathers of distributed photovoltaic (PV) power generation on the user side, the difficulties of the low-carbon transformation of the power grid and sustainable development of large-scale distributed PV power generation is increased. Based on a master-slave game, this article proposes an optimizing scheme for the operation of microgrids, where the users built PV and shared energy storages. Firstly, this paper introduces the operational framework of the system and the functions of micro-network operator (MNO) and load aggregator (LA). The optimization operation models for MNO and LA are modelled in the framework of Stackelberg master-slave game. The game relationship between MNO and LA is analyzed. Yalmip tool with the CPLEX solver are introduced to solve the differential evolution algorithm. Final, the effectiveness of the proposed method is verified in numerical examples. © 2024 SPIE.

This paper is concerned with the dynamic coverage of multiple autonomous surface vehicles (ASVs) in the presence of static and dynamic obstacles, limited communication distance, and measurement noises. A modular control method including planning, guidance, and control is proposed. At the planning level, a swarm-based dynamic coverage strategy is developed to achieve the coverage of a given domain. Both the collision avoidance and connectivity preservation issues are solved by using artificial potential fields. At the kinematic level, novel adaptive line-of-sight guidance laws are presented based on cascade extended state observers (CESOs), such that accurate guidance signals are given by compensating for time-varying sideslip angle and suppressing measurement noises. At the kinetic level, two CESOs are developed to estimate the internal model uncertainties and external environmental disturbance, and antidisturbance kinetic control laws are designed subsequently. The proposed CESOs overcome the noises sensitivity problem of classical observers, and thus facilitate the practical implementation under measurement noises. The input-to-state stability of the closed-loop system is confirmed by the Lyapunov theory and cascade stability theory. Simulation and hardware-in-the-loop experiment results are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed swarm-based dynamic coverage method. © 1967-2012 IEEE.

The electrification of offshore oil and gas platforms (OOGPs), using offshore wind turbines, is now a reality, aimed at minimizing carbon emissions. In this scenario, the utilization of battery energy storage systems (BESS) improves both efficiency and power quality. As this integration comes with a high CAPEX, industries demand exploring BESS for multiple ancillary services on OOGPs. Thus, this paper proposes an alternative approach to energizing a power transformer (PT) using the BESS power conversion system (PCS) on the platform, aiming to minimize inrush currents. This avoids the necessity for additional bulky devices, converters, or dc voltage sources specifically designated for this purpose. The strategy consists of manipulating residual core flux using BESS PCS followed by a controlled switching, which reduces inrush currents during PT energization. The results show effective reduction of the inrush current from 2.31 pu to 0.16 pu for the presented case study. © 2024 IEEE.
