Correlation filter-based trackers have achieved competitive results in the field of visual tracking, but the abilities to deal with the multi-scale and keep the tracking stability still need to be improved. In this article, the complex background tracking problems are studied based on the kernel correlation filter. In order to address the fixed size limitation, we present an improved scheme, which can not only realize scale adaption, but also retain the advantages of the original algorithm. In addition, the adaptive update learning rate of the model is achieved by using the peak sidelobe ratio as an indicator to measure the filter performance. Using the index, we can selectively reduce the model interference to low precision information. Moreover, we design a redetection mechanism that runs automatically when the tracking evaluation indicator is low. Compared with the radical model update methods, those conservative update strategies can effectively decrease the model pollution and ensure the tracking effect. Extensive verifications based on OTB-100 benchmark show that the optimized algorithm improves the accuracy, robustness, and generalization ability of target tracking.

The constructive semi-global differential game concept is introduced into the multi-agent’s cooperative controller designing of typical autonomous unmanned systems subject to controller input constraint as well as the collision avoidance requirements simultaneously. The problem of driving each agent which is assume to subject to input constraint nonlinearity from the initial position to a desired one and at the same time avoiding collisions (referring to both static obstacles and other agents) is modeled and transformed into multi-agent’s collision avoidance problem. In view of the requirement that different agents working together might possibly have individual but conflicting purpose (such as in the multi-missile cooperative detection requiring slowly and continuing actions vs fast formation control scenario, and multi-agents’ fast arriving vs avoiding different kinds of obstacles). The differential game theory provided a mechanism or framework for investigating different kinds of problems in which several players seek to achieve individual purposes or goals, which might be competing rather than cooperation. In view of the input constraints, the problem is reduced as a semi-global differential game. Conditions are established to guarantee input constraints are satisfied, and mainly by using the Hamilton-Jacobi-Isaacs (HJI for short) PDIs and as well as ε-Nash equilibria. The semi-global property of the states are also guaranteed. It provides a description in terms of the invariant set for the overall differential game system under constraint controller input. Illustrative examples are carried out to verify the effectiveness of the method, and also the feasibility of the suggested control protocols.

With the development of globalization, more and more enterprises are involved in the supply chain network with increasingly complex structure. In this paper, enterprises and relations in the logistics network are abstracted as nodes and edges of the complex network. A graph model for a supply chain network to specified industry is constructed, and the Neo4 j graph database is employed to store the graph data. This paper uses the theoretical research tool of complex network to model and analyze the supply chain, and designs a supply chain network evaluation system which include static and dynamic measurement indexes according to the statistical characteristics of complex network. In this paper both the static and dynamic resilience characteristics of the the constructed supply chain network are evaluated from the perspective of complex network. The numeric experimental simulations are conducted for validation. This research has practical and theoretical significance for enterprises to make strategies to improve the anti-risk capability of supply chain network based on logistics network information.

A shunt unified power quality controller (S-UPQC) is developed and has been tested in the field in order to confirm its performance at mitigating voltage sags for sensitive power consumers. The S-UPQC keeps the magnitude of the voltage supply for power consumers constant by acting as a voltage source when voltage sags occur in the power grid. In this paper, a smooth switching strategy is designed to smooth the voltage disturbance of power consumers when the power supply switches between the S-UPQC and the grid. Simulation results are presented to show its high performance. A prototype of S-UPQC is developed and a field test has been conducted. During its operation, the performance of the SUPQC at mitigating voltage sags within actual power systems is confirmed.

The electric energy produced by photovoltaic systems is a function of several variables that present random behavior, such as solar irradiance, ambient temperature, wind speed, and relative humidity. Several models describe the energy produced by these systems, which reflect the various factors that influence the generation and how significant these influences are. In this way, the present work aims to compare some panel temperature models and the electrical energy produced from a photovoltaic system located in the Midwest of Brazil. The applied methodology aims to evaluate the expected averages and standard deviations of the monthly synthetic series of generated energy to identify the main random variables that influence the electric generation. The results indicate the model that best describes the physical system concerning the randomness of the variables involved, the photovoltaic technology, the location, and the measurement period. © 2021, European Association for the Development of Renewable Energy, Environment and Power Quality (EA4EPQ). This paper considers the sampled-data observer design problem of space-varying distributed parameter systems (DPSs). By utilizing a Lyapunov functional, a sampled-data observer design is developed by spatial linear matrix inequalities (SLMIs) to guarantee the exponential stability for the estimation error DPS. Furthermore, to solve SLMIs, the sampled-data observer design for space-varying DPSs is formulated as an LMI feasibility problem. Lastly, simulation results of a numerical example are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

The effective planning of wind turbine (WT) positions in a wind farm (WF) plays a crucial role in capturing wind energy and increasing power generation. control optimization of WT attitudes can also help reduce wake effects and increase power generation, thereby maximizing the annual electricity production (AEP) of a WF. In this paper, a two-stage optimization model is proposed for planning the stationary layout of floating offshore wind farms (FOWFs), as well as the positions and attitudes of the floating offshore wind turbines (FOWTs) via optimal control. In the first stage, a competitive particle swarm optimizer (CPSO) is employed to generate multiple FOWF layouts. In the second stage, the genetic algorithm (GA) is utilized to optimize the yaw angles and axial induction factors of the FOWTs for operation control. Unlike the existing approaches that address WT layout design and operation control sequentially and separately, the proposed method integrates these aspects to simplify the FOWTs operation and to improve their performances. Additionally, taking the movable characteristics of the FOWTs into consideration, the proposed model incorporates the positional movement of the FOWTs under varying wind conditions, making the power calculations more realistic. Case studies demonstrate that compared with the traditional layout-only optimization, the proposed two-stage optimization model can help increase the AEP of the FOWFs by 4.72 %.

This paper presents a comprehensive distribution robust optimization model based on the distribution network risk index to address the distributional uncertainties of distributed generations (DGs) and loads. To analyze the security of active distribution network (ADN) systematically, a risk assessment method based on improved semi-invariant method and clustering technique is proposed. The risk assessment method is performed on the integrated dynamic reconfiguration and reactive power optimization model. This method can consider the correlation between distributed power sources, and when the injected power is large, the calculation results with higher accuracy can be obtained Case studies on the PG&E 69-bus system verify the robustness and feasibility of the proposed model.

For the dynamic reconfiguration problem of distribution networks, the handling of switching cost constraint and the division of time period are the two key aspects that affect the performance of the reconfiguration algorithm. In this paper, an improved temporal constrained hierarchical clustering algorithm for dynamic reconfiguration of distribution networks is proposed. Firstly, the improved hierarchical clustering approach considering the temporal constraint is used to divide the operating status of the distribution network into multiple time intervals according to the similarity of loads and the output power of distributed generations (DGs). The dynamic reconfiguration of distribution networks is then transformed into multiple single-stage static reconfiguration problems, and the cluster center is used to approximately represent the load state and DG output state of the period. In order to reduce the number of infeasible solutions and poor solutions, a coding method based on heuristic rules to reduce the solution space of distribution network reconfiguration is proposed. An improved fireworks algorithm based on heuristic rules is proposed to solve the reconfiguration problem. Finally, a modified IEEE-33 test system is used to verify the validity of the proposed method.
