We establish an open framework for developing plan optimization models for knowledge-based planning (KBP) in radiotherapy. Our framework includes reference plans for 100 patients with head-and-neck cancer and high-quality dose predictions from 19 KBP models that were developed by different research groups during the OpenKBP Grand Challenge. The dose predictions were input to four optimization models to form 76 unique KBP pipelines that generated 7600 plans. The predictions and plans were compared to the reference plans via: dose score, which is the average mean absolute voxel-by-voxel difference in dose a model achieved;the deviation in dosevolume histogram (DVH) criterion;and the frequency of clinical planning criteria satisfaction. We also performed a theoretical investigation to justify our dose mimicking models. The range in rank order correlation of the dose score between predictions and their KBP pipelines was 0.50 to 0.62, which indicates that the quality of the predictions is generally positively correlated with the quality of the plans. The simulation platform and physical equipment in traditional control system of inverted pendulum are often independent of each other. Researchers are more likely to use Simulink for inverted pendulum simulation. The physical model is simplified, and the curves of the simulation result are correct as well. In this paper, a more practical nonlinear model of inverted pendulum is established. The model and control algorithm code are generated automatically based on embedded equipment, and experimental curves can be displayed in real time in a three-dimensional scene.

A new type of exponential rate is proposed, in order to improve the dynamic quality of servo motor speed control system. The reaching law relates the approach speed to the change of the system state quantity, which overcomes the shortcomings of the conventional exponential approach rate. The inherent buffeting problem of the sliding mode is effectively suppressed. The reaching law is applied to the servo motor speed control system, and a sliding mode variable structure speed controller based on a novel exponential reaching law is designed to replace the traditional PI regulator. Simulations and experiments show that the speed controller is robust to system parameters uncertainties, external disturbances and noise, and it can effectively improve the dynamic and static characteristics of the system. This makes the servo motor can be better applied to the robot servo system.

In this paper, we study the semi-global output containment control problem of a multi-agent system in the presence of actuator saturation over a directed network. The leader and follower agents are of different dynamics, and the follower agents are affected by disturbances generated by the leader agents through directed paths in the communication topology. The control objective of the output containment control is to drive the output trajectories of the follower agents to converge to the convex hull spanned by the outputs of the leader agents in the presence of disturbances. Low gain feedback containment protocols are constructed based on the output regulation approach and distributed observers. It is shown that semi-global output containment control can be achieved by the proposed protocols, if each follower agent is connected to at least one leader agent through a directed path in the communication topology. Simulation results verify the theoretical conclusions.

Aiming at the two axis Opto-Electronic Platform, in order to diminish the influences caused by the friction disturbance moment and the disturbance of the UAV angular motion, disturbance compensation control based on a disturbance observer is introduced into this system. On the other hand, to track a specific signal quickly with a high accuracy, feedforward control based on a reference observer which can generate reference inputs and states is used. Besides, a state feedback LQR controller is also employed. So the whole control system is composed of feedforward control, disturbance compensation and a state feedback LQR controller. The comparative simulation results show that the control system proposed in this paper can track the desired signal stably and quickly, and the tracking accuracy is also improved.

As physical obstacles, vehicles have significant impacts on the efficient propagations of safety-related information in vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs) by frequently obstructing the LOS links between transmitters and receivers. Obstructing effect will diminish the effective coverage of safety-related information and incur severe impact on road safety. However, this impact has not been addressed effectively. In this paper, we first present the definition of broadcast efficiency as the metric for quantizing the obstructing effect. We investigate the optimization issue for mitigating the impact of obstructing effect on the propagation of safety-related information and propose a graph theory-based optimization algorithm. For a distributed implementation of this optimization in VANETs, we further propose the maximum broadcast efficiency relaying (MBER) algorithm. MBER maximizes the effective coverage of information, meanwhile, meets delay and reliability constraints by incorporating broadcast efficiency and propagation distance in relay contention. Simulation results demonstrate that MBER promotes the effective coverage of safety-related information in VANETs with varying vehicular distribution. © 1967-2012 IEEE.

Based on the brushless dc motor driven by a four-switch three-phase inverter (FSTPI), a current control scheme is proposed to reduce the current ripple of both the normal conduction region and the commutation region. Assuming c-phase winding is connected to the middle point of a dc-link capacitance, in the normal conduction region when a-phase and b-phase windings conduct, the current of c-phase may not be zero because of c-phase back electromotive force. The proposed strategy adds two regulating vectors into each control cycle based on the traditional PWM scheme, and controls the c-phase current to be zero by controlling the working time of the regulating vectors in each control cycle. In the commutation region, the noncommutated phase or the outgoing phase switch is modulated by comparing the change rate of the incoming and outgoing phase currents to maintain the noncommutated phase current constant. Compared with the traditional current control strategy, good control effect is kept in both the normal conduction region and the commutation region by accurately controlling the working time of the voltage vectors. The proposed strategy does not need to adjust the parameters of the controller, and it is simple and easy to implement. The experimental results prove the correctness and effectiveness of the control strategy. © 2013 IEEE.

In this paper we revisit the problem of global asymptotic stabilization of the double integrator system subject to output *** first observe that the double integrator system cannot be asymptotically stabilized by linear static output *** then establish that there exist linear dynamic output feedback laws that globally asymptotically stabilize the double integrator system subject to output *** determination of the linear output feedback laws is presented in the form of an *** results illustrate that the linear dynamic output feedback laws have the ability to achieve global asymptotic stabilization of the double integrator system subject to output saturation.
