Attacks on web applications are constantly growing in both frequency and severity. Abundant data on the internet stimulates hackers to attempt different types of cyberattacks. Attack detection using conventional approaches and outdated data processing techniques has become outmoded as a result of this development. The purpose of this study is to investigate IoT attacks and discuss the efficient ML technique implementation strategies for restricting security risks. Among different security techniques, Machine learning (ML) systems demonstrated commendable feasibility in improving network and device security for the Internet of Things. The study with contextual research recognises and comprehends that modified 'Support Vector Machine (SVM)' as well as 'Random Forest (RF)' ML techniques showed optimal performance in IoT attack detection and prevention. © 2023 IEEE.

Grinding wheel specification cybernetic recommendation with multi-task multi-imbalanced learning in smart manufacturing system

Over the years, the grinding wheels industry has played a crucial role in mechanical engineering. Grinding wheel specification is composed of various factors such as abrasive type, wheel grade, bond type, and more, which are derived from customer workpiece operation information. Traditionally, the determination process of grinding wheel specifications is complicated. Experienced engineers need to check out the limitation and consider the interaction of each factor. When the new specification order comes, engineers have to spend a lot of time on historical data search and discussion. Recently, the application of artificial intelligence attracts more and more attention in the manufacturing industry. Through collecting historical data, the model has the ability to extract the domain knowledge, predict the specification that does not exist, and reduce the decision time. However, when training the model, this grinding wheel specification faced multiple imbalanced targets and multi-task issues. In the past, research efforts primarily focused on studying single-task learning (STL) algorithms. Seldom of them has a systematic way to discuss the model determination of multiple targets and correlation influence, especially on the tabular-type dataset. In this study, we proposed a multiple resampling chain multi-task learning framework to address the issue of data science. To tackle the multi-task imbalance resampling problem, we also proposed a resampling strategy called Multiple Resampling Chain. Moreover, we conducted a sensitivity analysis to examine the correlation effect on model improvement. Finally, we proposed a cyber-recommendation system that integrates the training model and interface to provide a more intuitive way of specification prediction. This system not only can help engineers to improve the time spent on making decisions, but also make the whole manufacturing process to be more intelligent. © 2024 Elsevier Ltd

There are so many areas in Indonesia that are prone to landslides. Bogor is the regency with the most frequent landslides. Therefore, high community preparedness is needed to deal with the landslide, especially at the household level because it is the spearhead of preparedness and influence disaster risk. The objective of this research is to measure and analyze the level of household preparedness for facing landslide. The location of this research is in Cibadak Village, Bogor regency where a landslide disaster had happened. This is a quantitative research. The number of the samples were 100 household. Data collection was done by surveying samples and distributing questionnaires. The data would be analyzed with descriptive analysis, and the results of level of household preparedness would be categorized to five levels which were very prepared (80-100), prepared (65-79), almost prepared (55-64), less prepared (40-54), and not prepared (0-39). The results of the research are the average index value of Knowledge and Attitude (KA) parameter is 66.77, Emergency Planning (EP) parameter is 52.24, Warning System (WS) parameter is 64.80, Resources Mobilization Capacity (RMC) parameter is 51.25 and the level of household preparedness for facing landslide is 59.26 or and it is significant at the almost prepared level. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Every year, at least 1,300 million tons of agricultural waste is produced, and the amount is likely to expand further in a world with a growing population to feed. Our current linear approach to handling this vast amount of waste via landfills and incineration has already contributed to about 3% of global greenhouse gas emissions and also created various toxic pollutants. There is an urgent need to sustainably manage agricultural waste that can benefit both the environment and humans. Thermochemical conversion emerges as a promising technology that can convert agricultural waste into a variety of valuable products, creating circularity opportunities. In this primer, we explain the thermochemical conversion of agricultural waste by illustrating four mainstreaming processes. We further discuss the potential tradeoffs of these processes in terms of their environmental externalities and reflect upon the potential toward a circular and net-zero future.

Business cards have always been a traditional item for any professional’s repertoire; it allows the receiver to get a basic idea of who the sender is and what organization they belong to. However, this requires said professionals to design and create their cards if they are not affiliated with any business entity. This process can take up a large sum of time and skills that may not be in the scope of the person in question. This paper aims to develop an application that automatically generates a usable digital business card simulated in a three-dimensional plane. The application will also act as an exploration of the Swift Language, developed by Apple Inc. Swift and its frameworks are relatively new to the programming scene; therefore, this paper will test their capabilities and potential to be implemented in other firms like other programming languages.

Predictive Analysis Of a Highway Road Accident in Thailand:Using Machine Learning Approach

Accidents are a major obstacle to economic development and quality of life in developing countries. The same challenges are perceived today as major issues in Thailand. This research aims to assess the frequency and most common causes of road accidents that are most likely to result in fatalities. Machine learning technique is employed to examine the relation of factors in accidents, which are then applied to policymaking to lower the rate of road accidents and economic and human resource losses, as well as improve the overall efficiency of a country’s healthcare *** this article, the researcher has included information regarding the incidence of road accidents in Thailand during the years 2015–2020;a total of 167,820 events were recorded by the Thailand Department of Public Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, with total damages costing some 1.13 billion Thai baht (34 million USD). Although the overall data comprises the elements influencing the accidents, this article only considers the drivers who were the causes of fatal highway accidents. After eliminating the passengers and concentrating exclusively on the drivers, 24,559 events *** a result of the association rule, the factors that enhance the likelihood of fatality in highway road accidents are as follows: driver info, male;driver behavior, over speed limit;vehicle type, motorbike;roadway, straight, dry surface;and weather, clear. All of these variables are related, as the association rule shows an increased risk of injury or death in traffic accidents involving males riding motorcycles at speeds exceeding the posted limits on straight roads in clear weather. With all of these trends discovered, policymakers may be able to eliminate some of the factors implicated in highway traffic accidents and raise awareness to avoid risky driver conduct and even propose laws to control. © 2022, The Authors. Knowledge acquisition is important for innovation and adaptation of organizations including universities. New knowledge and capabilities can be acquired from inside or outside of the institution. There are large body of literature discuss the interaction of universities and the other Triple-helix model’s agents, but rarely found and discuss intra helices interactions. This research explores the characteristics of Indonesian academic inventors’ knowledge acquisition strategy for patenting in Indonesia. There are two points of view of this research: firstly, the study discusses the knowledge acquisition strategy of Indonesian universities in regard of the knowledge diversity among two collaborating universities and secondly, how is the magnitude of knowledge gaps between two entities influencing the decision for inhouse or out of university *** the data from Sinta, knowledge diversity index is measured using Shannon entropy index of the academic inventor’ expertise, university’s department, and university’s division. The research recognition’s gap between two collaborating inventors is measured using the difference of their Scopus’ h-indices. The findings show some interesting facts of how academic inventors strategize their collaboration patterns. First, interuniversity collaborations for patenting reveal more diversity on the academic inventors’ knowledge than those are in intra-university collaborations. Second, collaborations for patenting with different universities expect better knowledge spill-overs than collaborations within a university. But, this knowledge spill-over only significant at individual level but not at institutional level. It seems that individual recognition is more important than institutional recognition when choosing a collaboration partner.

This research develops an intelligent automatic production loading and unloading solution for a multi-process part. According to the posture required for each processing operation of each part, a novel gripper and carrier that can implement multi-position clamping are designed. The Beckhoff controller is adopted as the host controller in the control system to integrate the robotic arm (including the vision system), the automated guided vehicle (AGV), and the computer numerical control (CNC) machine. The main topic of this research is to meet the requirements of automatic loading and unloading in the processing of the entire production line. It will significantly reduce the workforce consumption of the processing production line and avoid human error, thereby improving processing reproducibility and product production stability.

Heavy metal and microplastic pollutions are prevalent in freshwater ecosystems, with many freshwater bodies being contaminated by one or both of these pollutants. Recent studies reported extreme detections of Cd, Pb and Zn, high concentrations of Cr, Pb and Cu and microplastics acting as vectors of pollutants, including heavy metals. Mayflies can serve as bioindicators of heavy metal contamination in freshwater ecosystems because changes in their community structure, physiology, and behaviour can reflect and help predict the concentrations of metals in these environments. This review discusses the ecological alterations induced by tissue metal concentration in mayflies and other macroinvertebrates. As sensitive taxa to heavy metal contamination, mayflies can reflect the impacts of this pollution through their ethology and relationship to the substrate, highlighting issues such as eutrophication, alterations in community structure, inhibitory effects and sediment toxicity. Mayflies are also highly affected by microplastic exposure, which leads to ingestion, bioaccumulation, biomagnification, habitat and community alteration, behavioural changes, physiology alteration and toxicity. Mayflies bioindication metrics for assessing the impact of heavy metals and microplastics include the examination of community alteration, functional feeding behaviour, molecular structure, dietary and toxicity impacts, bioaccumulation and biomagnification and biomarkers. Current challenges for the utilization of mayflies as bioindicators include temporal variations in sensitivity, lack of universally recognised protocols and need for standardised protocols for microplastic analysis. Additionally, the applicability of mayflies as bioindicators may vary across different ecosystems, emphasising the need for selecting suitable indicators that align with the unique characteristics of the ecosystem. © 2024 The Authors

Rail freight transportation is one of the essential modes of freight transport. It is regarded as a cheap means of transportation and is appropriate for moving containers, agricultural items, and bulk materials. However, for a number of reasons, rail freight transit in Thailand has been constrained. One of the most worrisome issues from the perspective of the clients is the ability to track and trace the shipments. Due to the lack of efficient information flow among all parties involved in transportation, customers are unable to track down shipments and determine when they will arrive at their destination. This study used information flow diagrams to show where the information was lacking. As a case study, the State Railway of Thailand (SRT) practice is utilized to analyze the issues and make improvement recommendations. Finally, in order to enhance the information flow for rail freight transportation, a traceability system for rail freight has been developed.
