The potential for business opportunities live streaming services has attracted attention from individuals and businesses. Limited studies have explored the factors associated with the purchase intention of shoppers in live-streaming contexts. The purpose of this study was to examine whether social media technology readiness, perceived value, and social presence influence shoppers’ purchase intention in live-streaming contexts. The results indicated that social media technology readiness and perceived value had a significant and positive effect on purchase intention. A thorough discussion and future research suggestions are provided to obtain a better understanding of the behavioral intention of shoppers in live-streaming contexts. © 2022 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.

The mandatory carbon reduction guidelines and regulations in Indonesia encourage all industrial sectors particularly the petroleum industry to implement decarbonization programs by systematically reducing carbon emissions as part of climate action. Unlike existing carbon emission studies in the petroleum industry, the literature lacks studies on the decarbonization patterns. In addition, the effectiveness of carbon mitigation in the upstream oil and gas field has not been studied so far. This study developed short panel data models to understand the current decarbonization efforts and patterns during 2015–2018. The results indicate that the considered variables are significantly impactful in carbon reduction with different coefficient patterns. It is suggested to associate decarbonization with oil and gas production and highlight energy efficiency optimization to stabilize production. The impact of financial, human, and administrative resources on the supporting facility is critical for executing sustainable carbon mitigation projects. © 2024 The Authors

The Vietnamese Mekong Delta (VMD) has experienced significant morpho logical changes over decades, resulting in profound socioeconomic and environmental conse quences. This study investigated the VMD’s spatial and temporal morphological alterations from 1998 to 2020, utilizing four bathymetric datasets and remote sensing techniques. The ana lysis revealed that the average annual riverbed incision rate in the Tien and Hau Rivers dimin ished from-0.19 m/year (1998–2005) to-0.11 m/year (2005–2017) and further dropped to-0.10 m/year (2017–2020). The upper reaches of the Tien and Hau Rivers exhibited pronounce deepening over the three periods, whereas their lower reaches witnessed a converse trend. Add itionally, the study unveiled the average annual riverbank migration rate along the VMD, ran ging from 5 m/year to-5 m/year during the same examined periods. Notably, the dynamic processes of erosion and deposition intensified between 2017 and 2020. This research aims to provide crucial insights for refining sediment management strategies in the VMD. © 2025 The Author(s).

Indonesia has a high tendency of having landslides. Bogor is one of regency which is very prone to landslide disaster due to high rainfall. Landslides are a very dangerous threat to public safety. The preparedness can build disaster resilient communities that can support the national resilience. Sociodemographic characteristic and disaster experience are determining factors for the success of preparedness. The purpose of this research is to develop a model of the influence of sociodemographic characteristics and disaster experience toward household preparedness for facing landslide. This research is done in Cibadak Village, Sukamakmur Bogor. This research uses a quantitative approach with 100 sample of households. Multiple linear regression technique is used for analyzing the model. The results of the research showed that household preparedness is significantly influenced by sociodemographic characteristics which is education (p = 0.000), meanwhile age, income and the number of family member don't significantly influence. Beside that the household preparedness is also greatly influenced by disaster experience too (p = 0.000). Education influence on household preparedness for facing landslide as much as 38.81% and the disaster experience is 52.85%. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Local villagers in Mae Sot District, Tak Province, Thailand are at risk of diseases related to cadmium (Cd) due to excessive consumption of rice contaminated with Cd due to zinc mining. This study verifies the hypothesis that to achieve safe rice cultivation, magnet-assisted soil washing followed by soil amendment using zero-valent iron (ZVI) is required not only for rapid remediation of the existing Cd contamination but also for the prevention of Cd recontamination caused by contaminated run-off from an upgradient contaminated paddy. Accordingly, this study conducted a pilot-scale demonstration of the combined technique to restore a real Cd-contaminated paddy (41.02 ± 5.47 mg/kg−1) and compared it with remediation using only soil amendment with ZVI or only magnet-assisted soil washing. The Cd concentration in rice grains from the contaminated rice field without treatment was 0.86 ± 0.01 mg/kg−1, and thus higher than the acceptable level of 0.4 mg/kg−1. Even though the use of magnet-assisted soil washing without amendment initially removed all the bioavailable Cd from the soil, it failed to reduce Cd uptake by the rice plants. This failure was caused by heavy off-season rain, which flooded and re-contaminated the experimental fields with Cd-contaminated run-off from an upgradient contaminated field, leading to a Cd concentration in rice grains of 1.21 ± 0.01 mg/kg−1. Similarly, the use of ZVI as a soil amendment without magnet-assisted soil washing could not ensure safe rice cultivation during the off-season flood, as Cd concentration in the rice grains was still 0.60 mg/kg−1. However, magnet-assisted soil washing followed by soil amendment using ZVI successfully removed Cd from soil and sequestered Cd from Cd-contaminated run-off, resulting in protection against Cd re-contamination in soil and the reduction of Cd content in rice grains to 0.33 mg/kg−1, representing a 60% removal efficacy. Deep learning has excellent learning and feature classification abilities, extracting features in massive, multi-source, and high-dimensional measurement data. It also diagnoses and generalizes models without relying on manual intervention. Thus, it is widely used in equipment fault diagnosis. We introduce the common models of deep learning: deep confidence network, convolutional neural network, and automatic encoder. Using deep learning, the fault diagnosis of rolling bearings is executed, and the result provides the basis for future development.

We propose a ten-yearMars mission to establish Earth-independence and support efficient, safe, and sustainable science and exploration goals. The campaign begins with a series of precursor missions, starting with the Artemis program, followed by robotic missions to performsite surveys and selection, de-risk technologies, and to start stockpiling in-situ water and propellant. Robotic Cargo Starships would depart first in 2035 to deliver and deploy approximately 5,800 tons of habitats, nuclear microreactors, farmmodules, manufacturing and ISRU systems. In 2040, two Crew Starships carrying 36 persons would land onMars to establish two close-proximity villages. The lifecycle cost is estimated at $81 billion, with a peak annual cost of $6.6 billion. To meet RASC-AL competition requirements, intended to motivate the exploration of highly self-reliant architecture concepts, resupply from Earth was constrained to only 5 metric tons every two years and minimum surface endurance was set at 7 years. The risks to human life and to critical systems increase exponentially over a minimally-resupplied, 7-10 year mission toMars. Our approach focused on identifying capabilities to mitigate known and unknown risks. Using a high-fidelity crew time model, we found that large architectures, with their economies of scale and productivity gains from specialization, are essential to robustly support the necessary capabilities. The model also shows that small 7-year missions of 12 persons or less cannot provide value in terms of free surface traverse time for science and exploration. Given the necessity of a large, complex architecture, we then sought out efficiencies and synergies (value engineering) in order to make the mission feasible and affordable. In the process, we identified more benefits that are enabled only by large missions, including the creation of a true community on Mars with sufficient social complexity for humans to thrive, and the geopolitically compelling option to inclu

Transportation sector due to increased pavement lengths is one of main sources of greenhouse gas emissions and energy consumption. With increased environmental awareness and focus on recycling, many studies used recycled material in pavement systems to implement the sustainability. The recycling of waste glass in pavement systems has attracted much interest worldwide due to increased disposal costs. As a pavement material, waste glass could be used as an aggregate substitute in Portland cement concrete, asphalt mixtures and base/sub-base courses. When finely ground, glass can also be used as supplementary cementitious material for substituting partial cement. This paper reviews the different uses of waste glass in pavement systems and the effect of the glass properties on the performance of pavement materials. This review compared the test results reported by different researchers and discusses limitations of using recycled glass in pavement systems along with potential applications. Further, many aspects of the local markets were found to be supportive of diverting recycled glass to concrete products, however, the cost of glass milling and the limited use of concrete products containing glass locally make such diversion uneconomical at the present time. The findings from this review study are expected to advance knowledge in recycling waste glass in pavement systems and offer an effective technique for diverting a large amount of waste glass from landfills. © 2021 Widener University School of Civil engineering. As the information age has progressed, computational thinking ability to solve problems has become an indispensable way of life in life. Many scholars believe that the process of solving problems will be more logical if they have computational thinking ability. At the same time, scholars believe that a good learning method improves learners' intrinsic motivation. Therefore, in this research, we try to use conceptual mapping so that students can construct knowledge when composing their own images, as the focus of this learning model and computational thinking is the thinking process and the two coincide. This research intends to introduce the traditional programming robot course into conceptual mapping and measure whether there are differences in computational thinking tendencies, problem-solving tendencies, and intrinsic motivations between students who use conceptual mapping and those who do not use it. The students in the experimental group with conceptual mapping activities developed computational thinking skills during the program robotics course. The students in the control group first watched the computational thinking explanation video to explain the computational thinking skills to the students, and then taught in the traditional programming robotics course. © 2021 IEEE.

Belawan Port is one of the main ports in Indonesia whose role and function are important in the national logistics system. Belawan Port is a gateway for the Province of North Sumatra. The port must have sustainability in carrying out its role and function as transportation and economic infrastructure. In this research, Belawan Port sustainability will be evaluated from several aspects or dimensions, namely ecology, economy, social culture, technology, and institutions and law. Belawan port sustainability analysis using the Multidimensional Scaling method, using the modified Rapfish program. The analysis is carried out on five dimensions and 49 attributes/factors, which are used as a reference in the SDGs program. Not every SDG will be relevant for every business, however, every SDG should be considered. SDGs no.4 and no.5 are not directly related to port management activities, while SDGs no.8,9,11,14,17 are directly related. From the analysis obtained Ecology sustainability index = 48.38 (less-sustainable), Economic sustainability index = 42.89 (Less-Sustainable), Socio-Cultural sustainability index = 52.47 (Fair-Sustainable), Technological sustainability index = 54.11 (Fair-Sustainable), Institutional and Legal sustainability index = 50.74 (Fair-Sustainable). With policy and program interventions, the sustainability of the existing Belawan Port in the short term can be improved to be fair-sustainable for all dimensions (ecology, economy, social & culture, technology, Institution & Law) evaluated. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
