U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) personal property moves account for 15% of all domestic and international moves - accurate prediction of their cost could draw attention to outlier shipments and improve budget planning. In this work 136,140 shipments between 13 personal property shipment hubs from April 2022 through March 2023 with a total cost of $1.6B were analyzed. Shipment cost was predicted using recursive feature elimination on linear regression and XGBoost algorithms, as well as through neural network hyperparameter sweeps. Modeling was repeated after removing 28 features related to shipment hub location and branch of service to examine their influence on algorithm performance. The best model resulted from a neural network hyperparameter sweep on the simple 4-feature dataset. That model contained 2 hidden layers of 250 neurons, possessed a mean absolute error (MAE) of $2162 on the holdout dataset, and had an overfitting measure of 0.2%. This model's performance is a substantial improvement over a trivial mean-prediction model that possessed a MAE of $6856. Additionally, the model R2 = 0.87 compared favorably to existing work that achieved R2 = 0.73. Models that included 28 features related to shipment hub location and branch of service did not improve performance, showing that those features are insignificant in predicting shipment cost. All OLS regression and XGBoost models showed that the most influential features (in order) were weight, month of shipment, distance shipped, and days in transit. © 2023 IEEE.

With the start of the 5G operations, it will become more important to apply communication systems to automo-biles, which has been promoted in recent years as connected cars. Multi-band antennas are required to reduce the in-vehicle space which is occupied by communication equipment. We de-signed dual-band antennas for the sub-6 GHz 5G bands and the intelligent transport systems (ITS) especially the driving safety support system (DSSS) by loading helical elements to modified conical antennas (MCA), and conducted simulations and meas-urements. As a result, the antenna satisfied the sub-6 and ITS DSSS bands in the simulations. There were slightly differences between the calculated and measured results. © 2022 IEEE.

The global trend in broadband internet services reveals an increased focus on reliability, customer service, and integrating new technologies like IoT, 5G, or FMC. Customer service is primarily determined by network quality and reliability, price, and the quality of customer support provided by ISPs. Meanwhile, existing network quality measurement methods often involve numerous parameters, ranging from download speed and server response time to video streaming quality, each providing a separate insight into aspects of user experience. Therefore, the importance of the composite index method is becoming increasingly relevant. This method allows the integration of these various parameters into a single, easily understandable integrated index, simplifying complex data analysis into a more concise and interpretable form. As a result of this approach, internet service providers can more effectively monitor and enhance the customer experience and the overall quality of their services for various purposes with a single composite parameter value, providing reassurance and confidence in their operations.

There is a growing support from data management and analysis in the clinical and operational support at health services, impacting positively the patient outcome. Studies report that data management provides gains in productivity and raises the value of health services [1]. In this context, the interoperability of information systems (IS) at the environment of health services assumes an important role in spreading information and supporting different activities and procedures. The Brazilian government, through its Unified Health System (Sistema Unico de Saude - SUS), aimed to support and organize the growing use of data technology in the healthcare sector, formalizing protocols and concepts of interoperability used in both public and private health systems. Through applying this MF, it is expected to identify the state of interoperability at Brazilian healthcare institutions, defining a comparative scenario that allows the alignment of efforts in its strategic development in healthcare services, benefiting users and healthcare network. © 2024 The Author(s). Using the net of factors (IoT) technology has led to a resurgence in improving intelligent farms. The capacity to music and reveal crops, animals, and different farm activities has advanced the performance of farming operations. Clever farms enjoy the blessings of connectivity, allowing farmers to be more informed and higher prepared for any ability issues. This increased connectivity has also opened the door for new security problems. This paper looks at intelligent farm IoT structures' usability and safety features. The paper investigates the overall protection levels of the systems and the various security measures that may be implemented as an excellent way to discover and guard in opposition to ability threats. It also evaluates the usability of the structures and assesses the extent of convenience it offers for agriculture employees. The paper also evaluates the present-day enterprise tendencies in IoT protection, value, and potential future trends. Ultimately, the paper gives insights into modern and future security and usability measures that may be taken to ensure the protection and effectiveness of clever farm IoT systems. The paper examines the usability and protection capabilities of innovative Farm Internet of Things (IoT) structures, which provide farmers with the potential to monitor, manipulate, and control various farm elements remotely. Usability functions consisting of user interfaces, device connectivity, and communication protocols are analyzed to evaluate how user-friendly the device is. Additionally, safety functions consisting of authentication, authorization, encryption, and getting entry to manage are tested to decide how the gadget can defend the statistics and assets of the farm. Moreover, this paper touches upon the contemporary and destiny-demanding situations related to those structures, including scalability, cost, and privacy. ultimately, the paper concludes with a comprehensive assessment of the usability and security functions and

Deep learning has excellent learning and feature classification abilities, extracting features in massive, multi-source, and high-dimensional measurement data. It also diagnoses and generalizes models without relying on manual intervention. Thus, it is widely used in equipment fault diagnosis. We introduce the common models of deep learning: deep confidence network, convolutional neural network, and automatic encoder. Using deep learning, the fault diagnosis of rolling bearings is executed, and the result provides the basis for future development. © 2023 IEEE.

Bali, known for its picturesque landscapes and vibrant culture, has become a popular tourist destination, attracting millions yearly visitors. To meet the demands of discerning travelers, the five-star hotel industry in Bali needs to focus on developing integrated services that provide guests with a seamless and exceptional experience. This paper outlines key strategies and considerations for integrated service development in Bali’s five-star hotel industry in response to life after the COVID-19 pandemic. The research first identified ten service quality attributes from five-star hotels in Bali, Indonesia, through text mining of 2,169 customer reviews from online accommodation platforms and interviews with hotel staff. We also sought to determine the priorities of hotel attributes based on customers’ preferences through the Kano Model. Regarding service attributes, staff/service, amenities, spa, and health protocol were all must-haves;food, quality of the room, and corporate social responsibility were perceived as one-dimensional;location and pool were deemed attractive;access to the beach was deemed indifferent. These attributes became risk points highlighted in the service concept using blueprint mapping. The new service development framework offered several practical implications. The hotel should organize regular training and briefings to prepare the management for delivering better service. The new service process identified the failure points of the hotel’s customer service, thereby enhancing efficiency and reducing operational costs. Finally, health and safety protocols could be followed to execute service operations, and customer satisfaction could be increased. © 2025, Chinese Society for Quality. All rights reserved.

The objectives of this research are study and evaluate the potential of a Rooftop PV System Installation in Suranaree University of technology (SUT) by means of considering the basis of polycrystalline silicon and on-grid connected system. Variables of evaluation are namely;the solar radiation on a tilted surface, an area of the PV array, and the efficiency according to the cell temperature. To determine the economic feasibility, Net present value (NPV), Internal rate of return (IRR), Benefit cost ratio (B/C Ratio), Discounted payback period (DPB), Levelized cost of electricity (LCOE) and Sensitivity analysis were employed. The period of this study is specified up to 25 years base on solar cell life time. The result shows that the rooftops of SUT are efficiency. 38 buildings were considered and the result of economics study shows that NPV is Positive, IRR is more than minimum loan rate, B/C Ratio is more than one, DPB is 9.3 years, LCOE is 1.94 baht/unit, and the Sensitivity scenario demonstrates the cost reduction in an installation from 50 to 45 baht/watt. To sum up, the project is quite interesting to invest. © 2021 IEEE.

Early detection of stem base rot disease in oil palm is a considerable challenge in plantation management, given that the early symptoms of the disease are difficult to identify visually. This research develops a drone-based detection system using the Pi NoIR V2 camera and NIR image analysis, supported by the Mamdani fuzzy method for data interpretation. The dataset consists of 70 oil palm trees selected based on the variation of image conditions captured by the camera, the data taken for analysis at a height of 50 meters above the ground to produce a precise image. This research fills a gap in the automatic detection of stem base rot disease, with novelty in the integration of drone technology, NIR analysis, and fuzzy logic. NDVI and reflectance analysis of the captured images enabled classification of tree health, with results showing the difference between healthy and disease-indicated trees.
