The Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer (BCLC) staging system plays a crucial role in clinical planning, offering valuable insights for effectively managing hepatocellular carcinoma. Accurate prediction of BCLC stages can significantly ease the workload on radiologists. However, few datasets are explicitly designed for discerning BCLC stages. Despite the common practice of appending BCLC labels to clinical data within datasets, the inherent imbalance in BCLC distribution is further amplified by the diverse purposes for which datasets are curated. In this study, we aim to develop a BCLC staging system using the advanced Swin Transformer model. Additionally, we explore the integration of two datasets, each originally intended for separate objectives, highlighting the critical challenge of preserving class distribution in practical study designs. This exploration is pivotal for ensuring the applicability of our developed staging system in the designed clinical settings. Our resulting BCLC staging system demonstrates an accuracy of 55.81% (±7.8%), contributing to advancing medical image-based research for predicting BCLC stages.

Automatic liver tumor detection from computed tomography (CT) makes clinical examinations more accurate. However, deep learning-based detection algorithms are characterized by high sensitivity and low precision, which hinders diagnosis given that false-positive tumors must first be identified and excluded. These false positives arise because detection models incorrectly identify partial volume artifacts as lesions, which in turn stems from the inability to learn the perihepatic structure from a global perspective. To overcome this limitation, we propose a novel slice-fusion method in which mining the global structural relationship between the tissues in the target CT slices and fusing the features of adjacent slices according to the importance of the tissues. Furthermore, we design a new network based on our slice-fusion method and Mask R-CNN detection model, called Pinpoint-Net. We evaluated proposed model on the Liver Tumor Segmentation Challenge (LiTS) dataset and our liver metastases dataset. Experiments demonstrated that our slice-fusion method not only enhance tumor detection ability via reducing the number of false-positive tumors smaller than 10mm, but also improve segmentation performance. Without bells and whistles, a single Pinpoint-Net showed outstanding performance in liver tumor detection and segmentation on LiTS test dataset compared with other state-of-the-art models. © 2004-2012 IEEE.

Universities can employ information technology as one means of achieving their goals and objectives. Universities can get advantages from information technology, such as effective resource management and information management for decision-making. However, don't forget that the campus must consider what technology is appropriate to assist them achieve their goals, particularly in the current industrial era 4.0 where technology is available with many different choices. The campus requires an enterprise architecture in order to design, manage, and coordinate information technology infrastructure, applications, and processes strategically and thoroughly. The adoption of enterprise information system architecture (EA) is also intended to improve the quality of services provided to internal and external stakeholders. In this case, Enterprise Architecture can help an organization to match its information technology resources with business processes and strategies to achieve their goals. This research was conducted using TOGAF ADM, also known as the Open Group Architecture Framework Architecture Development Method. This method offers best practices for creating enterprise architecture and emphasizes several steps that include creating an architectural vision, information systems, business architecture modeling to help XYZ campus manage all their information technology.

Background: To evaluate the effect of the weighting of input imaging combo and ADC threshold on the performance of the U-Net and to find an optimized input imaging combo and ADC threshold in segmenting acute ischemic stroke (AIS) lesion. Methods: This study retrospectively enrolled a total of 212 patients having AIS. Four combos, including ADC-ADC-ADC (AAA), DWI-ADC-ADC (DAA), DWI-DWI-ADC (DDA), and DWI-DWI-DWI (DDD), were used as input images, respectively. Three ADC thresholds including 0.6, 0.8 and 1.8 × 10^–3 mm²/s were applied. Dice similarity coefficient (DSC) was used to evaluate the segmentation performance of U-Nets. Nonparametric Kruskal–Wallis test with Tukey–Kramer post-hoc tests were used for comparison. A p <.05 was considered statistically significant. Results: The DSC significantly varied among different combos of images and different ADC thresholds. Hybrid U-Nets outperformed uniform U-Nets at ADC thresholds of 0.6 × 10^–3 mm²/s and 0.8 × 10^–3 mm²/s (p <.001). The U-Net with imaging combo of DDD had segmentation performance similar to hybrid U-Nets at an ADC threshold of 1.8 × 10^–3 mm²/s (p =.062 to 1). The U-Net using the imaging combo of DAA at the ADC threshold of 0.6 × 10^–3 mm²/s achieved the highest DSC in the segmentation of AIS lesion. Conclusions: The segmentation performance of U-Net for AIS varies among the input imaging combos and ADC thresholds. The U-Net is optimized by choosing the imaging combo of DAA at an ADC threshold of 0.6 × 10^–3 mm²/s in segmentating AIS lesion with highest DSC. Using the Scopus database, this study aims to investigate the use of artificial intelligence for cancer detection in the last ten years from 2013 to 2022. The researchers used bibliometric analysis combined with VosViewer and Rstudio software quantification method for literature analysis. The results of the flushed articles show data such as publication year, journal, country, keywords, and authors, to the highest number of citations. Common keywords used by researchers are artificial intelligence, medical, and human. Researchers limited the findings through keywords such as in the last ten years, documents are journals, and English only so that 1868 articles were obtained. The results found that Harvard Medical School affiliation had the highest number of articles, with 101 articles, by subject area, Medicine had a proportion of 41.9% (n=1320). This bibliometric study will be useful for other researchers to examine the development of research on Artificial Intelligence for Cancer Detection in the last ten years.

Predictive coding offers a potentially unifying account of cortical function - postulating that the core function of the brain is to minimize prediction errors with respect to a generative model of the world. The theory is closely related to the Bayesian brain framework and, over the last two decades, has gained substantial influence in the fields of theoretical and cognitive neuroscience. A large body of research has arisen based on both empirically testing improved and extended theoretical and mathematical models of predictive coding, as well as in evaluating their potential biological plausibility for implementation in the brain and the concrete neurophysiological and psychological predictions made by the theory. Despite this enduring popularity, however, no comprehensive review of predictive coding theory, and especially of recent developments in this field, exists. Here, we provide a comprehensive review both of the core mathematical structure and logic of predictive coding, thus complementing recent tutorials in the literature (Bogacz, 2017;Buckley, Kim, McGregor, & Seth, 2017). We also review a wide range of classic and recent work within the framework, ranging from the neurobiologically realistic microcircuits that could implement predictive coding, to the close relationship between predictive coding and the widely-used backpropagation of error algorithm, as well as surveying the close relationships between predictive coding and modern machine learning techniques. The learning methods used by teachers in schools in Serang City are very ineffective, especially during the pandemic. This is because not integrated content of material in one subject with other subjects. Never mind between subjects, sometimes the material is not well integrated. The purpose of this study is to provide an alternative learning method during a pandemic, namely a method that integrates material with the realities of life which is abbreviated as IMR (Integrated Realistic Material). The method in this research is Research and Development (RnD) with the ADDIE model. In making this learning method according to the stages from the ADDIE study. Bank as a company that has many customers who conduct transactions every day, of course, has data that is increased continuously. In this paper, customer transaction data has been predicted to find potential customers in deposit offer. Data mining approach has been performed to classify potential customers for marketing through telemarketing. This data analysis can be used as a consideration in determining marketing strategy decisions for marketing managers. 15,713 data with 13 class attributes and 1 target class were obtained from UCI Machine Learning repository. The data was divided into 70% training data and 30% test data. Feedforward method of Artificial Neural Network was used to classify customer data. Multilayer Perceptron Neural Network and Radial Basis Function Neural Network were used to obtain optimal classification results. The result of this classification predicted potential customers to subscribe deposits. The result of this study indicated that the Radial Basis Function Neural Network method with 95.3% accuracy and 96.4% sensitivity was a better method compared to the Multilayer Perceptron Neural Network method with 88.0% accuracy and 99.4% sensitivity. © 2019 IEEE

Study on the identification and classification of fish is challenging and valuable because of its role in advancing the marine and agricultural fields. This research has benefits interms of monitoring fish populations and ecosystems in a particular area. Furthermore, this research helps monitor fish that are considered threatened or endangered so that it makes iteasier to map prohibited areas for fishing. This research aims to know performance of MobileNetV2 and VGG16 with parameter tuning process by identifying the value of batch size, epoch, learning rate, and optimizer for fish image dataset. The proposed research phase consists of five main stages, including experimental setup, dataset construction, dataset preprocessing, dataset training and modelling and evaluation. As the result, VGG16 obtained the highest accuracy value. For VGG16 without fine-tuning, the testing accuracy is 98.07%. For VGG16 with fine-tuning, the testing accuracy is 96.56%. © 2022 IEEE.

Business capital and revenue are not only the decisive of the health of SMEs but also they must be balanced. In general, customers find their benefit from the flexible payment methods while on the other hand the SMEs should get their benefit too. So that, it needs to be studied whether it is necessary for SMEs to get their profit in accordance to this situation. One of the methods that suitable to be applied is by applying customer groupings based on revenue and payment namely the K-means clustering method since it can raise several groups that have not been known before. This information is useful for SMEs to be utilized based on their needs. Data in this study were gathered from customer attributes, number of transactions, and payment methods. The number of centroids was 3. The grouping results were stopped at the 5th iteration. The finding showed that the ratio value of the 4th iteration and the 5th iteration having the same ratio value, 0.07393. From the results of the iterations can be found;first, based on the customers' number, the groups can be classified into three C1(18%), C2 (45%), C3 (36%). Second, based on the average number of transactions, post-paid payments was in the first rank (12.7 / week). From the results, it can be analyzed that this situation is burdensome for SMEs because the more the number of transactions, the more investment must be prepared for accounts receivable. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
