The government in Indonesia and its staff work together to make tactical steps to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the community. From the ministerial level to the heads of the provinces, regencies, and even the government. Therefore, this study aims to make a model decision support system to diagnose patients exposed to Covid-19, such as people in control, patients in oversight, and those who are positive for the Covid-19 Virus. Model decision support system development aims to provide information about the development of COVID- 19 and help the community in diagnosing themselves related to COVID-19 infection. In this study, the authors use the forward chaining method in application to get conclusions from the symptoms of the Covid-19. This research resulted in an application that patients exposed to the Covid-19, and it's also provided a solution for healing from patients. And this could be a reference for patients before consulting further with the doctor. © 2020 IEEE.

Artificial intelligence (AI) has advanced rapidly and is becoming a cornerstone technology that drives innovation and efficiency in various industries. This paper examines the real-world application of AI in multiple sectors, including healthcare, finance, agriculture, retail, energy, and automotive. Several case studies are described to understand better the practical applications, results, and challenges of implementing AI. While many industries have reaped enormous benefits from AI, inherent challenges include data privacy, the potential for bias, and the continuing demand for skilled labor. Cervical cancer is one of the deadliest diseases in women. One of the cervical cancer screening methods is pap smear method. However, using a pap smear method to detect cervical cancer takes a long time for a pathologist to diagnose. Hence, a rapid development of medical computerization for early detection to get the results quickly is needed. This paper proposes synthetic data augmentation by using Deep Convolutional Generative Adversarial Network (DCGAN) to increase number of pap smear samples in dataset. Gray Level Co-occurrence Matrix (GLCM) is employed to extract features from dataset. Classification of 3 classes which are Adenocarcinoma, High-Grade Squamous Intraepithelial Lesion (HSIL), and Squamous Cell Carcinoma (SCC) is conducted using Extreme Learning Machine (ELM). The result shows that the addition of synthetic data improves the performance of ELM with the accuracy of 90%. This accuracy is better than the accuracy of ELM using only the original dataset which is 85%.

Stroke Prognostication in Patients Treated with Thrombolysis Using Random Forest

Background: Early identification and accurate prognostication of acute ischemic stroke are crucial due to the narrow time frame for treatment and potential complications associated with thrombolysis intervention. Objectives: This pilot study in the Southeast Asian region using Indonesian data, aims to develop a novel machine learning model for predicting the clinical outcome of acute ischemic stroke patients following thrombolysis. The model seeks to aid clinicians in identifying eligible candidates for thrombolysis therapy. Methods: This retrospective study at Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital’s medical records from 2014 to 2023 used non-contrast brain CT, clinical, and lab data to develop a Random Forest (RF) algorithm predicting Δ NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) score, indicating functional outcome. The developed RF model was applied to a validation dataset, with performance evaluated. The study also compared RF with a previous Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) algorithm. Results: This study included 145 acute ischemic stroke patients treated with thrombolysis. It demonstrated the promising feasibility of using machine learning algorithms to predict clinical outcomes in this population. Integration of CT, clinical, and laboratory data as inputs to the RF models shows the best prediction performance (Accuracy = 0.75, AUC = 0.72, F1=0.50, Precision=0.60, Sensitivity=0.43, Specificity=0.88) Conclusions: The application of machine learning shows the potential to enhance the selection process for thrombolysis intervention in treating acute ischemic stroke. Further research with larger multicenter datasets and additional imaging modalities is required to improve predictive ability. © 2024 The Author(s).

Air pollution is a significant issue because it burdens human health and the environment. Particulate matter with a diameter of 2.5 micrometers or smaller (PM2.5) can penetrate the lungs and enter the bloodstream, seriously affecting the cardiovascular system, causing strokes, and impacting the respiratory system. Modern individuals spend 70% to 90% of their time indoors, making indoor air quality even more important than outdoor air quality. To estimate and predict indoor air quality, this study utilizes low-cost, self-assembled air boxes based on the Internet of Things to collect various air quality data. The collected data is then used in an indoor air quality forecasting system that combines Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) and K-means clustering methods to compare the overall performance of the algorithms. The experimental results are analyzed and statistically described based on each model method prediction accuracy and clustering results. These methods are integrated to develop an indoor air quality forecasting system to help indoor populations prevent issues in advance or optimize energy usage.

Classification of single neurons at a brain-wide scale is a way to characterize the structural and functional organization of brains. Here we acquired and standardized a large morphology database of 20,158 mouse neurons and generated a potential connectivity map of single neurons based on their dendritic and axonal arbors. With such an anatomy–morphology–connectivity mapping, we defined neuron connectivity subtypes for neurons in 31 brain regions. We found that cell types defined by connectivity show distinct separation from each other. Within this context, we were able to characterize the diversity in secondary motor cortical neurons, and subtype connectivity patterns in thalamocortical pathways. Our findings underscore the importance of connectivity in characterizing the modularity of brain anatomy at the single-cell level. These results highlight that connectivity subtypes supplement conventionally recognized transcriptomic cell types, electrophysiological cell types and morphological cell types as factors to classify cell classes and their identities. © The Author(s) 2025.

Street lighting is a public facility that gives highway users’ convenience during their nighttime trips, making it essential to be controlled and monitored using IoT technology. This study aimed to develop a smart lighting system connected through a Mesh network. The system monitors the street light and automatically controls it using the ESP8266 module, a microcontroller with Wi-Fi built-in. The options in selecting the lamp type include Halogen, Fluorescent, LED, or Incandescent. In general, LED is used because it has an advantage in energy-saving over other lamp types. Moreover, the system is equipped with automatic light intensity control through a dimming technique by Pulse Width Modulation (PWM), while BH1750 is used as a light sensor. Furthermore, it monitors the environmental temperature and humidity using DHT22. The communication between the lighting module is based on ESP-Mesh because each node is connected and forwarding data to the destination and the coverage area. ESP-Mesh allows the wireless network to have a scalable architecture in a broader area. It has features to self-organize and self-configure, implying the network could be built and maintained autonomously. Additionally, the system has a web server service with access to control each node and find out the mesh routing table. The results showed that each node could be configured as a mesh network using ESP8266, which sends dimming commands and reads the sensors. The dimming and intensity control was tested using real public street light called NL200D LED module and an off-the-self dimming control driver module, N-Channel MOSFET FQP30N06L. Furthermore, a Mesh connection was tested using five super bright 3mm LEDs representing real street light due to the limitation of the LED module in the laboratory. Based on the results of the questionnaire distributed to Primary Teacher Education Students, 96% of students said that Physics is difficult to understand because the material is very complex, many formulas, especially the learning process is done online. This study aims to describe the influence of providing feedback on the motivation of Primary Teacher Education Students in primary school physics courses. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Meanwhile, the instrument used was a questionnaire which was distributed to 115 elementary school education students. The result of the research shows that giving feedback consistently is able to motivate students. This can be seen from the results of the questionnaires distributed, each indicator is of very good value. © 2021 Institute of Physics Publishing. All rights reserved.

Superior and quality human resources are based on healthy human resources with indicators of adequate nutritional intake according to age development. However, the world still faces the problem of hunger and malnutrition today. According to a UNICEF report, the number of people suffering from malnutrition in the world will reach 767.9 million people in 2021. The World Health Organization (WHO) said that malnutrition is a dangerous threat to the health of the world's population. Stunting also has an impact in Indonesia, the prevalence of toddlers experiencing stunting in Indonesia is 24.4% in 2021. The solution created is to classify and cluster the prevalence of stunting to produce a pattern that can be used as best practice to be transmitted to other affected areas. The algorithm used is Euclid. The Euclid algorithm can cluster stunting prevalence data into 4 clusters with the very little category at 79%, the little category at 67%, the many categories at 51%, and the very much category at 21%. The results of the classification and clustering of the best stunting prevalence in cluster one with a very small number, can be used as a source of accurate and updated information that can be used by the government in its efforts to optimize stunting handling in each district/city based on artificial intelligence which can provide handling and optimization patterns. stunting in every district/city.

This research aims to help the user monitor their heart’s condition and notify other people in case of an emergency due to an abnormal heartbeat (normal heartbeat around 60-100 beats per minute). From the heart rate graph, the user could do a consultation with an expert in the nearest hospital using a map feature that will show the nearest hospital with a 1 KM radius from the user’s current location. The heart is undeniably an essential part of the human body system. The heart's missions are to pump blood to the lungs to expel the waste carbon dioxide that resulted from the respiration and pump blood that will deliver oxygen throughout the human body's circulation system. While the blood that carries oxygen being pumped throughout the human body, the heart will provide the oxygen to all cells. Body cells need to use oxygen to get the energy from food through a process called cellular respiration. Monitoring our heartbeat and pulse rate can increase people’s awareness about their heart’s health, motivating, and encouraging people to maintain a healthy eating plan and exercise. This research will be implemented ECG Sensor. The sensor will then send the data to the android application via HC-06 Bluetooth module. Monitoring the heart rate and analyzing the user’s heartbeat will be done in the android with a microcontroller device's help. © 2020 IEEE.
