The use of simulation environments is becoming more significant in the development of autonomous cars, as it allows for the simulation of high-risk situations while also being less expensive. In this paper, we presented a framework that allows the creation of an autonomous vehicle in the AirSim simulation environment and then transporting the simulated movements to the TurtleBot. To maintain the car in the correct direction, computer vision techniques such as object detection and lane detection were assumed. The vehicle's speed and steering are both determined by Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) controllers. A virtual personal assistant was developed employing natural language processing to allow the user to interact with the environment, providing movement instructions related to the vehicle's direction. Additionally, the conversion of the simulator movements for a robot was implemented to test the proposed system in a practical experiment. A comparison between the real position of the robot and the position of the vehicle in the simulated environment was considered in this study to evaluate the performance of the algorithms.

This study aims to create an application for learning mathematics by using the ethnomathematics of traditional Sundanese games as an integration of mathematics and culture. Reveal in depth how traditional games can be used as material to develop learning with an ethnomathematical approach. The method used in this study is R&D (Research and Development) with a Borg and Gall model approach. The stages of this research are divided into several stages, namely: a) Potential Problems, b) Gathering Information, c) Product Design, d) Design Testing, e) Design Improvement, f) Product Trial, g) Product Revision, h) Trial Use of, i) Mass Production of Products. The potential problem from this research is that online learning is still being carried out until now, so there is a need for innovation in making learning media so that students can better understand learning materials based on their experiences. Collecting supporting data information in the form of data on traditional games in West Java, selecting and identifying which ones contain ethnomathematical elements and what materials are suitable for the game. Conducting observations and interviews as well as ethnographic studies to teachers, students, parents, cultural observers and experts. The product design is in the form of an application screen display, this research stage is only on the design of the application to be made, so the results of the research in the discussion of this article are in the form of application screen design.

The assessment of a frozen shoulder (FS) is critical for evaluating outcomes and medical treatment. Analysis of functional shoulder sub-tasks provides more crucial information, but current manual labeling methods are time-consuming and prone to errors. To address this challenge, we propose a deep multi-task learning (MTL) U-Net to provide an automatic and reliable functional shoulder sub-task segmentation (STS) tool for clinical evaluation in FS. The proposed approach contains the main task of STS and the auxiliary task of transition point detection (TPD). For the main STS task, a U-Net architecture including an encoder-decoder with skip connection is presented to perform shoulder sub-task classification for each time point. The auxiliary TPD task uses lightweight convolutional neural networks architecture to detect the boundary between shoulder sub-tasks. A shared structure is implemented between two tasks and their objective functions of them are optimized jointly. The fine-grained transition-related information from the auxiliary TPD task is expected to help the main STS task better detect boundaries between functional shoulder sub-tasks. We conduct the experiments using wearable inertial measurement units to record 815 shoulder task sequences collected from 20 healthy subjects and 43 patients with FS. The experimental results present that the deep MTL U-Net can achieve superior performance compared to using single-task models. It shows the effectiveness of the proposed method for functional shoulder STS. Stroke is a leading cause of mortality and long-term disability worldwide. An accurate stroke risk prediction is crucial for its early detection and prevention. Using deep learning to exploit patients’ time-series electronic health records (EHRs) has been shown as a promising and efficient solution for such a prediction. Although time-series data could be more informative than a single cross-section in time, real-world time-series EHRs usually have a significantly high missing rate due to irregular patient visits. This could undermine sequential data’s benefits unless a proper deep-learning model design is adopted. Furthermore, deep models have long been challenged for their interpretability, which is especially crucial for medical applications. In this study, we propose an extreme design based on the concept of recurrent independent mechanisms (RIM), termed extreme RIM (X-RIM). With no need for imputation, X-RIM utilizes the information of each input feature’s temporal records through independent recurrent modules. Experiments on real-world data from the National Taiwan University Hospital showed that, in terms of the area under the precision-recall curve (AUPRC), the area under the receiver-operating characteristics curve (AUROC), and Youden Index, X-RIM (AUPRC: 0.210; AUROC: 0.764; Youden: 0.373) outperformed the classic risk score CHA 2 DS 2 -VASc (AUPRC: 0.103; AUROC: 0.650; Youden: 0.223) and other benchmarks in stroke risk prediction. Additional experiments also indicate that individual feature contributions to a prediction could be evaluated intuitively under X-RIM’s independent structure to enhance interpretability.

Isobaric labeling relative quantitation is one of the dominating proteomic quantitation technologies. Traditional quantitation pipelines for isobaric-labeled mass spectrometry data are based on sequence database searching. In this study, we present a novel quantitation pipeline that integrates sequence database searching, spectral library searching, and a feature-based peptide-spectrum-match (PSM) filter using various spectral features for filtering. The combined database and spectral library searching results in larger quantitation coverage, and the filter removes PSMs with larger quantitation errors, retaining those with higher quantitation accuracy. Quantitation results show that the proposed pipeline can improve the overall quantitation accuracy at the PSM and protein levels. To our knowledge, this is the first study that utilizes spectral library searching to improve isobaric labeling-based quantitation. For users to conveniently perform the proposed pipeline, we have implemented the feature-based filter being executable on both Windows and Linux platforms;its executable files, user manual, and sample data sets are freely available at https://***/comics/Software_*** . Furthermore, with the developed filter, the proposed pipeline is fully compatible with the Trans-Proteomic Pipeline. © 2023, Springer Nature Limited.

This study aims to determine the best distance to install a CCTV camera in identifying a person's face in the passenger inspection area at the airport, which can be developed for suspect detection systems. The training data used is in the form of an image with five different angles per person, while the testing data is in the form of video. The initial stage conducted is face detection based on local features (a pair of eyes, nose, and mouth) in the input data using the Viola-Jones method. The face detection results process with pre-processing, feature extraction, and classification. In the pre-processing stage, the Brightness Enhancement (BE), Grayscale and Contrast Limited Adaptive Histogram Equalization (CLAHE) methods are used to improve the quality of the detected face. Furthermore, the feature extraction and classification stages use the Histogram of Oriented Gradient (HOG) and the Multi-class Support Vector Machine (MSVM) methods, respectively. The result shows that the best accuracy obtained is 86.76% for a CCTV camera distance of 300 cm and a height of 250 cm. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

With the popularity of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), there is an increasing demand for autonomous navigation applications, which require the use of high-definition mapping techniques of the environments. However, in highly dynamic environments, maps need to be updated regularly, which has an impact on the path planning algorithms used by the autonomous navigation system. A deterministic energy-efficient solution for a straightforward path in the path planning is computationally exhaustive. To overcome this limitation, recent solutions based on edge computing aim to provide safe and energy-efficient solutions to assist UAVs in autonomous navigation. This paper proposes an energy-efficient map building and sharing framework for multiple UAV systems. The proposed system uses edge servers to merge a global map that incorporates all Simultaneous Localization and Mapping updates, providing UAVs with consistent maps that are efficiently updated. The proposed system is evaluated and tested in laboratory, and field experiments. The field tests revealed that the object detection and classification model obtained a median efficiency rate of around 95%, even with a median packet loss rate between 25% and 35%. For the benefit of the community, we make public the source code.

Design of Waste Management System Using QR Code for Effective Management in Wastebank

Waste management is one of the problems faced in almost every city in Indonesia. One way to manage waste is through the waste bank. The business process of a waste bank is similar to a bank, but it is processed in the form of inorganic waste that has been sorted. In general, data management in waste banks is still conventional but the others have used of web-based or mobile technology. But in this way there are still some weaknesses such as the the time needed to input the collected waste data because the data cannot be directly entered into the system. In addition it can occur inaccurately entered data. The proposed method is using the QR code for the waste management system. In this method, admin only need to scan the QR code label attached on the waste bin stored above the weighing device using a smartphone camera. With this system QR scanner application based on mobile can be synchronized automatically with anroid smartphone. Admin then input the weight of the waste that is weighed and will be stored in the database. In this way the data input process can be faster and with the use of QR code, more data can be stored.

Due to its significant applications in magnetic devices for cell separation, magnetic drugs for cancer tumor treatment, blood flow adjustment during surgery, magnetic endoscopy, and fluid pumping in industrial and engineering processes, magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) has a wide range of applications. Therefore, the aim of this study to investigate the Relative Magnetic Field and slipping effect on Casson dusty fluid of two-phase fluctuating flow over inclined parallel plate. More exactly, the relative magnetic phenomena are fixed relatively to the plate (MFFRP) or fixed relatively to the fluid (MFFRF). The mathematical modeling was established as the set of partial differential equations for dusty Casson fluid. Buckingham's pi theorem is used to find out the dimensionless variables, to make our system dimensionless. The solution in perturb form is to find out by incorporating Poincare–Lighthill perturbation technique (PLPT). To know in-depth different parameters the graphical results for both velocities are plotted with the help of software Mathcad- 15. It is clearly detected that the relative magnetic field performs a vital part in the fluid as well as particle motion. Moreover, the relative magnetic field play a vital role in the decreasing of skin friction of both plates. © 2023
