This work presents the analysis, design, and performance evaluation of three usual CMOS proportional to absolute temperature (PTAT) voltage generators, with emphasis on variability effects. Minimization or compensation of the main error sources, such as fabrication variability and intrinsic non-linearities, is an important design challenge required to increase the precision and robustness of a voltage reference. The CMOS PTAT topologies are analytically described and design methodologies for PTAT circuits in subthreshold are presented. The compromises between design conditions and resulting performance are evaluated through simulation for these three PTAT generators, including linearity with temperature, temperature coefficient (TC), and variability impact. Monte-Carlo simulations demonstrated the sensitivity of each topology to fabrication variability, showing that the self-cascode MOSFET structure presents the best accuracy of TC, nominal PTAT voltage, and linearity with temperature.

A mobile robot that can achieve a stable attitude and locomotion on steep slopes is needed to overcome the problems of slipping and falling for automation of works on steep slopes. The conventional approaches to achieve a stable attitude and locomotion have been researched by adopting tracked wheels and multi-legged mechanisms instead of wheel mechanisms. However, these robots have limitations in term of application angles. A systematic theory for stable attitude and locomotion on steep slopes has not been established. Therefore, research on control strategies for wheeled mobile robots on steep slopes is essential. In this paper, a method to realize a stable attitude and locomotion on a steep slope for the wheeled mobile robot by using propellers for propulsion adhesion is proposed. The proposed robot can generate a large frictional force by pushing its body against the slope with a thrust force. This force prevents the robot from slipping while maneuvering on the slope. The magnitude and the direction of the thrust force is optimized using an appropriate control mechanism influencing the moment of force acting on it to avoid falling and side slipping during locomotion on steep slopes. A simulation experiment was conducted from the perspective of mechanics and dynamics to arrive at an optimal design of the mobile robot. The developed robot has four propellers to generate thrust forces and a rotation axis to control the direction of the generated thrust forces. Evaluation experiments were performed to validate the stability of the robot at a resting position and during lateral locomotion and its ability to climb over a slope. The experimental results confirmed that the proposed robot with propellers realized a steady attitude and locomotion on a slope of up to 90° by controlling the magnitude and the direction of the thrust force.

The objective of this study is to create a services design of E-Government system that can help Indonesian government to resolve some problems such as diversity platform and application. It causes the island applications that can make decision support processes is not well happen. In this study, we use literature review as an approach to discuss the phenomenon. It is performed by identifying, evaluating, and combining information from several other studies which relevant with this study's research questions. We use services oriented analysis and design approach to discussing the phenomenon. The ability of Service-oriented Architecture to connect multiple services between diversity systems and it can help the enterprise application travelling in Indonesian government. The case in this study is travelling system in Indonesia Government. The results in this study are the conceptual services for Travelling System using SOA approach and ESB Technology. In the real situations of supply chain, there are different parts such as facilities, logistics warehouses and retail stores and they handle common kinds of products. In this research, these situations are focused on as the background of this research. They deal with the common quantities of their products, but due to their different environments, the optimal production quantity of one part can be unacceptable to another part and it may suffer a heavy loss. To avoid that kind of unacceptable situations, the common production quantities should be acceptable to all parts in one supply chain. Therefore, the motivation of this research is the necessity of the method to find the production quantities that make all decision makers acceptable is needed. However, it is difficult to find the production quantities that make all decision makers acceptable. Moreover, their acceptable ranges do not always have common ranges. In the decision making of car design, there are similar situations to this type of decision making. The performance of a car consists of purposes such as fuel efficiency, size and so on. Improving one purpose makes another worse and the relationship between these purposes is tradeoff. In these cases, Suriawase process is applied. This process consists of negotiations and reviews of the requirements of the purposes. In the step of negotiations, the requirements of the purposes are share among all decision makers and the solution that makes them as satisfied as possible. In the step of reviews of the requirements, they are reviewed based on the result of the negotiation if the result is unacceptable to some of decision makers. Therefore, through the iterations of the two steps, the solution that makes all decision makers satisfied is obtained. Electronic health record (EHR) foundation models have been an area ripe for exploration with their improved performance in various medical tasks. Despite the rapid advances, there exists a fundamental limitation: Processing unseen medical codes out of the vocabulary. This problem limits the generality of EHR foundation models and the integration of models trained with different vocabularies. To deal with this problem, we propose MedRep for EHR foundation models based on the observational medical outcome partnership (OMOP) common data model (CDM), providing the integrated medical concept representations and the basic data augmentation strategy for patient trajectories. For concept representation learning, we enrich the information of each concept with a minimal definition through large language model (LLM) prompts and enhance the text-based representations through graph ontology of OMOP vocabulary. Trajectory augmentation randomly replaces selected concepts with other similar concepts that have closely related representations to let the model practice with the concepts out-of-vocabulary. Finally, we demonstrate that EHR foundation models trained with MedRep better maintain the prediction performance in external datasets. Statistical analysis on effects of Covid-19 pandemic on secondary students’ performance in mathematics subject

Starting 2020, the whole world faced covid-19 pandemic that was spreading across countries including Malaysia. Because of this pandemic, Malaysia government take immediate action to declare Movement Control order (MCO). This MCO gave seriously impact to almost sectors in Malaysia including economic, social and also education sector. We believed that, the students’ performance become decrease during MCO. Although classes were continued online, teaching and learning activities are believed less effective than face-to-face classes. This study was conducted to measure the secondary school students’ performance during MCO for Mathematics subject. There were 2 set of mathematics score data before and during MCO considered in this study. The independent T-test was conducted to test is there any significant difference of performance between gender for both data sets. Meanwhile, the paired T-test was conducted to evaluate the significant different of student performance before and during MCO. It was found that, there was significant different of students’ performance before and during MCO which, the performance during MCO become declined. One of the possible factor that was gave significant effect to the student’ performance was lack of effectiveness teaching and learning activities using online platform. So, for future research, a study should be done in order to indicate the significant factor that give effect to students’ performance if teaching and learning activities carried out online.

Protein Folding as a Jamming Transition

Proteins fold to a specific functional conformation with a densely packed core that controls their stability. Despite their importance, we lack a quantitative explanation for why all protein cores, regardless of their overall fold, possess the same average packing fraction 〈ϕ〉≈0.55. However, important developments in the physics of jamming in particulate systems can shed light on the packing of protein cores. Here, we extend the framework of jamming to describe core packing in collapsed polymers, as well as in all-atom models of folded proteins. First, we show in a spherical bead-spring polymer model (with and without bond-angle constraints) that as the hydrophobic interactions increase relative to thermal fluctuations, a jamming-like transition occurs when the core packing fraction exceeds ϕc with the same power-law scaling behavior for the potential energy Vr, excess contact number ΔN, and characteristic frequency of the vibrational density of states ω* versus Δϕ=ϕ−ϕc as that for jammed particulate systems. Then, we develop an all-atom model for proteins and find that, above ϕc∼0.55, protein cores undergo a jamming-like transition, but with anomalous power-law scaling for Vr, ΔN, and ω* versus Δϕ. The all-atom protein model remains close to the native protein structure during jamming and accurately refolds from partially unfolded states.

This research explores the analysis, design, and testing of a software application to support opioid peer specialists working to assist substance users, abusers, those in recovery, and their families. The paper presents a framework integrating best practice approaches from Design Science Research, Community Based Participatory Research, and human centered and user experience design principles for the purpose of: 1) guiding community based, goal-directed software design, and 2) building and evaluating a substance use, abuse, and recovery software application. Focus group findings from 33 participants suggest that using the framework enables alignment between human centered system requirements;personal, family, and community-based program goal achievement;and local/state population health directives.
