Covid-19 Series: A rule-based decision support system for analysis behavior of people while working from home

COVID-19 makes the community must carry out activities such as school, work, and worship at home. However, the long-running activities from home make people experience boredom which can lead to stress. On the other side, the entertainment obtained by the public through smartphones by reading articles by their interests can reduce boredom. This paper proposed a rules-based decision support system to help the people to make choices of their activities from home while COVID-19 e rules-based approach for make an application decision support system. Ruled base used in application to selected process through characteristics following the interests of the community. This decision support system is implemented in mobile web applications. The system can display articles based on interests by questions or statements through the front end system. The results showed that most users of the application in a happy condition while working from home.

Medical image data are usually imbalanced across different classes. One-class classification has attracted increasing attention to address the data imbalance problem by distinguishing the samples of the minority class from the majority class. Previous methods generally aim to either learn a new feature space to map training samples together or to fit training samples by autoencoder-like models. These methods mainly focus on capturing either compact or descriptive features, where the information of the samples of a given one class is not sufficiently utilized. In this paper, we propose a novel deep learning-based method to learn compact features by adding constraints on the bottleneck features, and to preserve descriptive features by training an autoencoder at the same time. Through jointly optimizing the constraining loss and the autoencoder’s reconstruction loss, our method can learn more relevant features associated with the given class, making the majority and minority samples more distinguishable. Experimental results on three clinical datasets (including the MRI breast images, FFDM breast images and chest X-ray images) obtain state-of-art performance compared to previous methods. © 2021, CC BY.

We observed the high-mass star-forming core G336.01–0.82 at 1.3 mm and 0′′ . 05 (∼150 au) angular resolution with the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA) as part of the Digging into the Interior of Hot Cores with ALMA (DIHCA) survey. These high-resolution observations reveal two spiral streamers feeding a circumstellar disk at opposite sides in great detail. Molecular line emission from CH3OH shows velocity gradients along the streamers consistent with infall. Similarly, a flattened envelope model with rotation and infall implies a mass larger than 10 M☉ for the central source and a centrifugal barrier of 300 au. The location of the centrifugal barrier is consistent with local peaks in the continuum emission. We argue that gas brought by the spiral streamers is accumulating at the centrifugal barrier, which can result in future accretion burst events. A total high infall rate of ∼4×10−4 M☉ yr−1 is derived by matching models to the observed velocity gradient along the streamers. Their contribution account for 20–50% the global infall rate of the core, indicating streamers play an important role in the formation of high-mass stars. Copyright © 2023, The Authors. In this paper, we present a suction cup by applying magnetorheological elastomers (MREs) that can be used for the wall climbing robot and picking application. MRE is a smart material in which the ferromagnetic particles are dispersed in the elastomer. In conventional research, MREs are often used as a vibration absorber, since the physical or mechanical properties can be altered upon the application of a magnetic field. In this paper, we focus on the expansion of the use of MRE material. When the magnetic field is added, the MRE will be attracted to the magnetic generator due to the ferromagnetic particles inside. The basic mathematical model between magnetic force and elasticity is discussed by us, which supports the working principle of building MRE suction cup. The MRE suction cup contains a permanent magnetic field generator unit and a MRE membrane unit. A servo motor is used to control the ON/OFF of the magnetic generator, so that the MRE membrane can be activated and deactivated. In this prototype, we focus on picking objects with flat surfaces as the first attempt. The proposed suction cup can achieve appropriate suction force, low noise, energy-saving. In this paper, the operation method of MREs, the design of the suction cup, and the evaluation of the prototype are conducted.

Based on Malang Regency agriculture data in 2017 presented by the Head of the Agriculture and Food Crops and Horticulture Office (DPTPH), there was a 2.5% decrease in yields. One hectare of paddy land can produce 7.71 tons during normal weather, but currently only produces 6.9 tons per hectare. Three farmers' groups in Malang Regency (2018), are of the opinion that the current weather greatly influences crop failure. Weather prediction used so far using conventional benchmarks for planting, is no longer relevant to current reality. These estimates are often incorrect, resulting in crop failures, which have an impact on the farmer's economy. This study aims to make the application of weather prediction systems and recommendations for suitable planting varieties based on data on temperature, humidity, time of sun exposure, wind speed, and rainfall using Backpropagation ANN method. Data used for Karangploso District weather prediction from 2009-2018. While the variables used in the application of Backpropagation ANN: temperature, humidity, time of sun exposure, wind speed, and rainfall. For output, the prediction of rainfall in the next 12 months and planting of varieties in accordance with the predicted rainfall, OPT and land type. From the calculation results of this application the MSE error value of 0.0299 is obtained.

The purpose of this study is to see how accurate the results obtained from the reading of motion sensors in pregnant women in accordance with the criteria for mechanical motion of the body using sensors on an android device. because with the rapid development of technology today, it must be assumed that if technology can help facilitate our lives. The method of this study was using Body Mechanics a term used to describe the use of a safe, efficient, and coordinated body to move objects and carry out activities of daily living. Body mechanics is an effort to coordinate the musculoskeletal and nervous systems to maintain a good balance. The results of the analysis in this study indicate that the daily movements of pregnant women who meet the body's mechanical movement criteria can be measured using values that can be taken from sensors on an android device. It's just that the results of these values are still considered inaccurate. This is caused by a device connection that is considered bad.

Fuzzy logic can be used to represent obscurity based on terms such as high, old, hot, cold, and so on. Fuzzy logic can extend the range of truth values to all real numbers in intervals between 0 and 1. Numbers in this interval represent the possibility that the statement given is 'true' or 'wrong'. The use of fuzzy logic can be used in everyday life, such as in the fields of medicine, engineering, agriculture, transportation, environmental science and also in economic and business applications. As in this study, it was used to calculate the ideal amount of 'tips' for restaurant waiters based on the service provided by restaurant waiters. The method used in this study is to use Mamdani fuzzy logic with the process of defuzzyfication using the Centroid of area (COA). The results of this study are that it can be determined the value crisp of giving tips to restaurant waiters is 45 thousand rupiah provided that the service provided for service = 7 (Excellent) and food service = 8 (Delicious)..

Business capital and revenue are not only the decisive of the health of SMEs but also they must be balanced. In general, customers find their benefit from the flexible payment methods while on the other hand the SMEs should get their benefit too. So that, it needs to be studied whether it is necessary for SMEs to get their profit in accordance to this situation. One of the methods that suitable to be applied is by applying customer groupings based on revenue and payment namely the K-means clustering method since it can raise several groups that have not been known before. This information is useful for SMEs to be utilized based on their needs. Data in this study were gathered from customer attributes, number of transactions, and payment methods. The number of centroids was 3. The grouping results were stopped at the 5th iteration. The finding showed that the ratio value of the 4th iteration and the 5th iteration having the same ratio value, 0.07393. From the results of the iterations can be found; first, based on the customers' number, the groups can be classified into three C1(18%), C2 (45%), C3 (36%). Second, based on the average number of transactions, post-paid payments was in the first rank (12.7 / week). From the results, it can be analyzed that this situation is burdensome for SMEs because the more the number of transactions, the more investment must be prepared for accounts receivable.

A pointing device is one of the important interfaces between human and computer. A mouse is usually used as a pointing device; however, people with physical impairments who can not use a mouse due to its operation should use a table. One candidate for solving this problem is using an upper-arm movement combined with an inertial measurement unit sensor. The upper-arm gestures would be mapped and used to manipulate the mouse cursor on the monitor display. The `clicking' action will be accomplished using a bending sensor attached on the opposite upper-arm. This study evaluates the combination of the IMU and bend sensor (IMU+Bend) as a substitute for the mouse. The evaluation is based on ISO/TS 9241-411: Ergonomics of human-system standard. The results mentioned that the use of IMU is a promising way to emulate the movement of cursor. However, the usage of bend sensor is uncomfortable when it is used as a clicking method. The throughput of the proposed is 1.75 bps, and qualitative results show that the mean of comfort is 4.85 on a Likert scale ranged from 1 to 7.

The primary cilium plays a crucial function in sensing and transmitting extracellular signals into cells. The initiation of ciliogenesis hinges on the recruitment of Tau tubulin kinase 2 (TTBK2) to the distal appendages (DAs) of centrioles through CEP164. However, the detailed mechanism underlying the CEP164/TTBK2 interaction at DAs during ciliogenesis remains incompletely understood. In this study, we unveil that CEP164 features a long intrinsically disordered region and forms dynamic condensates with TTBK2 through phase separation. Our investigation demonstrates that CEP164 undergoes phase separation with TTBK2 through multivalent electrostatic interactions. These interactions facilitate the efficient recruitment of TTBK2 to DAs, thereby kickstarting the process of cilia formation. Therefore, our findings provide insights into the molecular regulation of CEP164/TTBK2 interactions at DAs and highlight the pivotal role of phase separation in promoting cilia formation. © 2025 The Author(s)
