In this study, we propose a digital watermarking scheme with quick response (QR) codes for authenticating image fidelity. We hide an image hash value in a QR code as a watermark and then embed the watermark using our robust digital watermarking scheme. The proposed scheme takes advantage of QR codes for error correction. Using a QR code as a watermark can decrease the error rate after watermark extraction from an attacked image. To protect the content of images, we perform the perceptual hash algorithm for evaluation. The values of the perceptual hash algorithm can be stored in QR codes. Therefore, perceptual hash values are secured, even when the watermarked image has been damaged. Using perceptual hash values, we can determine the difference between the attacked and original images. For sensitive images, e.g., military and medical images, traditional digital image watermarking methods are insufficient to realize effective protection. The original image is distorted due to traditional digital image watermarking methods embedding a watermark into it. We suggest a method for generating a zero-watermark image that is robust and uses discrete wavelet transform and singular value decomposition techniques. The Arnold transform is used in the zero-watermark generation and verification phases to enhance the security of the proposed method. The feature image of the original image is extracted after normalization and then frequency transformed. Various attacks were evaluated to determine the robustness of the proposed method, and the experimental results indicate that it exhibits good robustness against most attacks. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

Digital health can assist health professionals in monitoring elderly individuals after hospital discharge using technology, techniques, and practices that provide environments conducive to autonomy, comfort, and safety for already vulnerable patients. This article aims to describe the process of modeling and designing an m-Health solution that includes features for monitoring elderly patients post-discharge. The method applied was a case study, analyzing the reality of a hospital institution in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. The target audience for this study comprised elderly individuals with preserved cognitive functions and health professionals involved in the hospital discharge process. The modeling of the m-Health solution prototype followed the User-Centered Design method. Data collection instruments included questionnaires, interviews, and observations focusing on the two target groups. As a result, we developed a prototype, characterized by an m-Health solution with relevant functions to facilitate post-hospital discharge management. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

Information Technology (IT) project management is important for the growth of organizations. It involves planning and executing projects to achieve strategic objectives. This paper reviews IT project management methodologies and critical success factors to identify best practices for project success. This paper uses a literature review and analysis of the current state of the art of IT project management methodologies. A total of 39 articles were selected and reviewed. The results of the review include a comparison of the main IT project management methodologies and the critical success factors for project success. The conclusion of the paper is that Hybrid Project management Models are a promising approach for IT project management. This approach combines the foundations and best practices of traditional and agile project management methodologies, making it well-suited for the complex and dynamic nature of IT projects. Additionally, the paper identifies the following critical success factors for IT project success: Clear and well-defined project objectives, Effective communication and collaboration between stakeholders, Appropriate risk management and contingency planning, Strong leadership and project management skills and Adequate resources and support. This study explores the feasibility of deep learning for classifying nodule neoplasms, analyzing their performance on two openly available datasets, LUNGx SPIE, and LIDC-IDRI. These datasets offer valuable diversity in image quantity, quality, and malignancy annotation methodologies, posing a real-world challenge for effective model development. To handle the disparities in these diverse datasets, we aim to develop a robust classification model trained using federated learning. This decentralized approach allows model training across datasets without sharing patient data, preserving privacy and overcoming data fragmentation. Our experiments demonstrate that federated learning enables the development of a robust and superior deep learning model compared to individual models trained on limited data. This combination of deep learning, and federated learning holds immense promise for nodule neoplasm classification and can significantly improve patient care and outcomes. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

Large language models (LLMs) are increasingly utilized in healthcare applications. However, their deployment in clinical practice raises significant safety concerns, including the potential spread of harmful information. This study systematically assesses the vulnerabilities of seven LLMs to three advanced black-box jailbreaking techniques within medical contexts. To quantify the effectiveness of these techniques, we propose an automated and domain-adapted agentic evaluation pipeline. Experiment results indicate that leading commercial and open-source LLMs are highly vulnerable to medical jailbreaking attacks. To bolster model safety and reliability, we further investigate the effectiveness of Continual Fine-Tuning (CFT) in defending against medical adversarial attacks. Our findings underscore the necessity for evolving attack methods evaluation, domain-specific safety alignment, and LLM safety-utility balancing. This research offers actionable insights for advancing the safety and reliability of AI clinicians, contributing to ethical and effective AI deployment in healthcare. © 2025, CC BY-NC-SA.

An expatriate assignment at the branch company in other country must be optimised due to the short term duty. Accuracy calculation is needed to optimise the expatriate assignment including its scheduling system. There are many ways and methods to optimise the scheduling system. One of the methods is making use of graph theory instruments such as local antimagic total labeling. The local antimagic total labeling of a graph is a map from the set of vertices and edges of the graph to the set of positive integers from 1 to the number of vertices and edges such that the weight of two adjacent vertices are different. The vertex weight is calculated by adding the labels of the vertex and all edges incident to it. In this paper, this labeling is applied to optimise the scheduling system for the expatriate assignment. This system can be modelled by a graph where the assignments are represented by vertices and connection between the assignments are represented by edges. The represented graph is then labelled by the local antimagic total labeling in order to obtain the minimum number of different vertex weights. The such number is equivalent to the optimal time allocated for the expatriate assignment. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Oil content estimation in palm fruits is a precious property that significantly impacts oil palm production,starting from the upstream and *** content can be used to monitor the progress of the oil palm fresh fruit bunch(FFB)and be applied to identify product *** on the near-infrared(NIR)signals,this study proposes an empirical mode decomposition(EMD)technique to decompose signals and predict the oil content of palm ***,350 palm fruits with Tenera varieties(Elaeis guineensis ***),at various ages of maturity,were harvested from the Cikabayan Oil Palm Plantation(IPB University,Indonesia).Second,each sample was sent directly to the laboratory for NIR signal measurements and oil content ***,the EMD analysis and arti-ficial neural network(ANN)were employed to correlate the NIR signals and oil ***,a robust EMD-ANN model is generated by optimizing the lowest possible *** on performance evaluation,the proposed technique can predict oil content with a coefficient of determination(R2)of 0.933±0.015 and a root mean squared error(RMSE)of 1.446±*** results demonstrate that the model has a good predictive capacity and has the potential to predict the oil content of palm fruits directly,without neither solvents nor reagents,which makes it environmentally ***,the proposed technique has a promising potential to be applied in the oil palm *** like this will lead to the effective and efficient management of oil palm production.

Effect of physician profiling on utilization - Meta-analysis of randomized clinical trials

OBJECTIVES: An American medical Association survey reported that more than half of physicians are subjects of either clinical or economic profiling. This multilevel meta-analysis was designed to assess the clinical effect of peer-comparison feedback intervention (profiles) in changing practice patterns. METHODS: Systematic computerized and manual searches were combined to retrieve articles on randomized controlled clinical trials testing profiling reports. Eligible studies were randomized, controlled clinical trials that tested peer-comparison feedback intervention and measured utilization of clinical procedures. To use all available information, data were abstracted and analyzed on three levels: (1) direction of effects, (2) p value ham the statistical comparison, and (3) odds ratio (OR). MAIN RESULTS: In the 12 eligible trials, 553 physicians were profiled. The test result was p < .05 for the vote-counting sign test of 12 studies (level 1) and p < .05 far the z-transformation test of 8 studies (level 2). There were 5 trials included In the OR analysis (level 3). The primary effect variable in two Of the 5 trials had a nonsignificant OR. However, the overall OR calculated by the Mantel-Haenszel method was significant (1.091, confidence interval: 1.045 to 1.136). CONCLUSIONS: Profiling has a statistically significant, hut minimal effect on the utilization of clinical procedures. The results of this study indicate a need for controlled clinical evaluations before subjecting large numbers of physicians to utilization management interventions.

The advancement of today's learning technology makes the learning process no longer fully bases on face to face learning, but can achieve by online learning. Online learning is not only useful in overcoming deficiencies in conventional classroom learning, but also a means to meet the learning styles of students who are less fond of and/or dislike face-to-face learning. On the other hand, the main disadvantage of online learning is the lack of face-to-face interaction, while the strength of face-to-face learning is the intensity of student interaction with teachers, the ease of cooperative learning and the clarity of learning materials. In turn, the superiorities on face-to-face learning and online self-learning can be acquired by blended learning. However, blended learning is a learning solution by taking the best advantage of face-to-face classroom learning and online learning. Blended learning has been a learning solution of today's learning. In this study, two blended learning that has different learning content portions between the portion of face-to-face learning materials and online self-learning was conducted to find out which blended learning results produce better pedagogy between two blended learning, and how well the learning outcomes of blended learning are, especially for Algorithm and programming subject. The research results showed the blended learning with 60% face-to-face learning content and 40% online self-learning content delivers learning cognitive competency outcomes worse than 40% face-to-face learning content and 60% online self-learning content. The learning outcome of both blended learning is good, that is greater than 60% from the ideal number. © 2018 IEEE.
