Many researchers have pointed out that cognitive training can improve the cognitive function of patients with dementia. Therefore, our research developed a digital cognitive application system, "Reminiscence", to observe the brainwave of patients with dementia through cognitive training and to analyze its influence on concentration, memory, and logic. In this study, a total of 16 patients with mild dementia (CDR 0.5 and 1) participated in the measurement of brainwave by using the NeuroSky EEG system in the digital cognitive nostalgia system. The cognitive training is divided into seven parts: photo sharing, song singing, questions in logic, number operation, jigsaw puzzle, weight identification, and silhouette puzzle. Among the seven question types of cognitive training in this experiment, the six items of photo sharing, song singing, questions in logic, number operation, jigsaw puzzle, weight identification, and silhouette puzzle had a good impact on dementia patients and helped their concentration. The improvement of memory and logic had a positive effect on the delay of cognitive function degradation of patients with dementia. The purpose of this study is to stimulate and improve the cognitive function of patients with dementia, thus delaying dementia. This research serves as a reference for the future development of technology-assisted applications for patients with dementia who need cognitive training. © 2021 ECBIOS 2021. All rights reserved.

Waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) has become a critical environmental problem. Catalytic pyrolysis is an ideal technique to treat and convert the plastic fraction of WEEE into chemicals and fuels. Unfortunately, research using real WEEE remains relatively limited. Furthermore, the complexity of WEEE complicates the analysis of its pyrolytic kinetics. This study applied the Fraser-Suzuki mathematical deconvolution method to obtain the pseudo reactions of the thermal degradation of two types of WEEE, using four different catalysts (Al2O3, HBeta, HZSM-5, and TiO2) or without a catalyst. The main contributor(s) to each pseudo reaction were identified by comparing them with the pyrolysis results of the pure plastics in WEEE. The nth order model was then applied to estimate the kinetic parameters of the obtained pseudo reactions. In the low-grade electronics pyrolysis, the pseudo-1 reaction using TiO2 as a catalyst achieved the lowest activation energy of 92.10 kJ/mol, while the pseudo-2 reaction using HZSM-5 resulted in the lowest activation energy of 101.35 kJ/mol among the four catalytic cases. For medium-grade electronics, pseudo-3 and pseudo-4 were the main reactions for thermal degradation, with HZSM-5 and TiO2 yielding the lowest pyrolytic activation energies of 75.24 and 226.39 kJ/ mol, respectively. This effort will play a crucial role in comprehending the pyrolysis kinetic mechanism of WEEE and propelling this technology toward a brighter future.

The Scene of a Woman Grabbing a Horse's Tail in Yeh Pulu Relief, and Its Connection to Panji Narrative: The Basis of Contemporary Painting Creation

The study of the scene of a woman grabbing the tail of a horse ridden by a male figure in Yeh Pulu relief is the author's basis of concept in the creation of contemporary painting. Before the concept was discovered, a study was conducted of the scenes in the relief based on Panofsky's iconological theory and three stages of analysis, namely pre-iconography, iconography, and iconology. The attempt to connect the Panji narrative with the scene of a woman pulling a horse's tail aims to enrich the analysis of the interpretation. Both the narration and the scene revolve around a love story of two people separated by distance and time. The Panji narrative tells about a love story between Raden Galuh (Rangkesari), a princess of Daha Kingdom and Prince Panji, the crown prince of Kahuripan Kingdom, who have long been separated before they finally reunite at the end of the story. The scenes in the Yeh Pulu relief revolve around everyday heroism (which includes a love story). This connection is framed as a post-iconological interpretation, which results in three concepts of art creation: reframing, recasting, and globalizing.

An interprofessional early childhood training program: speech-language pathology and music therapy student outcomes and reflections

Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) and Music Therapists (MT) frequently work together in a wide variety of healthcare settings. This collaboration has tremendous potential for providing effective client-focused care and is in line with best practices for both professions. There are tensions that may arise within these collaborations, however, as each profession attends to their own scope of practice and works to understand the boundaries between each treatment modality. One way to address these essential professional relationships and potential tensions is to embed opportunities for SLP and MT students to co-treat within their educational training programs. This report outlines a preliminary evaluation of SLP and MT student readiness for interprofessional practice and their unique experiences as co-therapists within a fully collaborative clinical setting for young children with speech and language disorders. Through a mixed method program evaluation that included the Readiness for Interprofessional Learning Scale and focus group interviews, SLP and MT students explored their experiences with IP service provision, and their experiences as students in this type of learning environment.

Neither Nosferatu nor Chaplin: FEKS's Overcoat and Eccentrism's Protagonist

In the framework of Soviet national cinema, the Factory of the Eccentric Actor (FEKS) has often been eclipsed by Moscow's montage achievements of the 1920s. As a national product, FEKS is more difficult to export than its contemporaries, owing to the extreme youth of its participants, the instability of its ideological platform, collective authorship, and the unorthodox mixture of avant-garde and popular influences. By focusing on their 1926 film Shinel' (The Overcoat;Grigorii Kozintsev and Leonid Trauberg), this article explores how FEKS actively precluded its own bid for canonicity through unprecedented experiments with adaptation and translation and by staging transnational and transcultural encounters in an age of cultural nationalism.

This study aims to improve the quality and yield of bio-oil produced from ex-situ catalytic pyrolysis of lignocellulosic biomass (sawdust) using a combination of stage catalysts with Al-MCM-41, HZSM-5, and ZrO2. The research employed various methods, including thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), differential scanning calorimetry, bench-scale experiments, and process simulations to analyze the kinetics, thermodynamics, products, and energy flows of the catalytic upgrading process. The introduction of ZrO2 enhances the yield of monoaromatic hydrocarbons (MAHs) in heavy organics. Compared with the dual-catalyst case, the MAHs yield escalates by approximately 344% at a catalyst ratio of 1:3:0.25. Additionally, GC-MS data indicate that the incorporation of ZrO2 promotes the deoxygenation reaction of the guaiacol compound and the oligomerization reactions of PAHs. The integration of ZrO2 as the third catalyst enhances the yield of heavy organics significantly, achieving 16.85% at a catalyst ratio of 1:3:1, which increases by nearly 35.6% compared to the dual-catalyst case. Also, the addition of ZrO2 as the third catalyst enhanced the energy distribution in heavy organics. These findings suggest that the combination of these catalysts improves the fuel properties and yields of the biooil.

The Cooperative Extension System (Extension) is a national organization of approximately 3,000 offices across 70 land-grant institutions that relies on a complex blend of federal, state, and local funding to deliver research-based education, resources, and support to citizens in each state. While Extension traditionally focused on agriculture, health and human sciences, 4-H and youth development, and community development, a collective of arts Extension professionals also discovered Extension’s long, continuous history of arts engagement. Since the 1920s,Extension personnel have integrated the arts as creative strategies to engage participants through high-quality community efforts. This manuscript is an initial attempt to understand a regional perspective on arts Extension work. First, the authors provide a chronological overview of the history of arts Extension within the Midwestern region to explore the nuance of arts integration within the Cooperative Extension system. Then, they shift to highlight current community arts Extension models in four Midwestern states to establish a preliminary foundation for future understanding of how modern approaches in arts Extension contribute to local community development. © 2022 Community Development Society.

Dynamics of microbial community composition during degradation of silks in burial environment

The silk residues in the soil formed the unique niche, termed "silksphere." Here, we proposed a hypothesis that silksphere microbiota have great potential as a biomarker for unraveling the degradation of the ancient silk textiles with great archaeological and conservation values. To test our hypothesis, in this study, we monitored the dynamics of microbial community composition during silk degradation via both indoor soil microcosmos model and outdoor environment with amplicon sequencing against 16S and ITS gene. Microbial community divergence was evaluated with Welch two sample t-test, PCoA, negative binomial generalized log-linear model and clustering, etc. Community assembly mechanisms differences between silksphere and bulk soil microbiota were compared with dissimilarity-overlap curve (DOC) model, Neutral model and Null model. A well-established machine learning algorithm, random forest, was also applied to the screening of potential biomarkers of silk degradation. The results illustrated the ecological and microbial variability during the microbial degradation of silk. Vast majority of microbes populating the silksphere microbiota strongly diverged from those in bulk soil. Certain microbial flora can serve as an indicator of silk degradation, which would lead to a novel perspective to perform identification of archaeological silk residues in the field. To sum up, this study provides a new perspective to perform the identification of archaeological silk residue through the dynamics of microbial communities.

It is in the intersection between two contexts -political art and linguistic hybridism - that one can apprehend the work RODA VIVA (Live Wheel). The thematic interdisciplinarity inspired by theoretical basis from the fields of art, politics and sociology is formally mirrored by the liberty with which this research mixes tecnology and documental sound arts. RODA VIVA was built to produce an immersive sound scape in the format of a non-linear experimental documentary, using a generative technology to interweave sounds in movement of people in refuge situation since the crossing at the sea until the Camps. This work rethinks the documental art proposing an ecological structure in the sound documentary production. It is a procedure where the structures metamorphose, creating new interpretations and building possibilities.
