We analyze smooth nonlinear mappings for Hilbert and Banach spaces that carry small balls to convex sets, provided that the radius of the balls is small enough. Being focused on the study of new and mild sufficient conditions for a nonlinear mapping of Hilbert and Banach spaces to be locally convex, we address a suitably reformulated local convexity problem analyzed within the Leray-Schauder homotopy method approach for Hilbert speces, and within the Lipscitz smoothness condition both for Hilbert and Banach spaces. Some of the results presented in the work prove to be interesting and novel even for finite-dimensional problems. To search for new technical solutions when designing color measuring systems, we need a design object, i.e. to divide color measuring device into fragments, and solutions are sought for these fragments separately. At the first level of the partition, the color measuring device is divided into four main structural parts: the lighting, dispersing, electronic recording and computing devices.

Effective application of Augmented Reality user interfaces is one of the challenging trends of industrial cyber-physical systems development and implementation. Despite reach functionality of modern AR devices (like goggles, head mounted displays or tablets) the problem of their comfortable and productive use is not completely solved yet. To cover this gap, it is proposed in this paper to implement a new paradigm of 'accented visualization' that allows adapting additional data presented by AR device according to the user's current interest, attention and focus. To provide such context driven functionality there was developed intelligent software based on eye tracking and capturing the user's focus in ontology as a knowledge base. Probation and testing of the proposed approach present 89 % of the solution efficiency. © 2018 IEEE.

—The mathematical model for many problems is arising in different industries of natural science, basically formulated using differential, integral and integro-differential equations. The investigation of these equations is conducted with the help of numerical integration theory. It is commonly known that a class of problems can be solved by applying numerical integration. The construction of the quadrature formula has a direct relation with the computation of definite integrals. The theory of definite integrals is used in geometry, physics, mechanics and in other related subjects of science. In this work, the existence and uniqueness of the solution of above-mentioned equations are investigated. By this way, the domain has been defined in which the solution of these problems is equivalent. All proposed four problems can be solved using one and the same methods. We define some domains in which the solution of one of these problems is also the solution of the other problems. Some stable methods with the degree p © 2021, North Atlantic University Union NAUN. The paper presents the development trends of the modern higher education system of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the concept of the use of virtual reality in the education system, the comparative characteristics of the classical higher education system with the education system using virtual reality, which leads to greater efficiency at low cost. The development of a virtual laboratory, made at the Tashkent University of Information Technologies, on the Unity platform using the example of Arduino Uno, is given.

This paper presents the results of Augmented Reality (AR) implementation as a part of an interactive user guide. As an example, there is considered a software solution for a robot constructor that can be deployed on a tablet or AR goggles and used by children to make the process of finding the small pieces easy and comfortable. Basic challenges are discussed that are concerned with the limitations of modern AR goggles, low performance and quality of image recognition in real time. To cover these issues, it is proposed to implement a solution based on accented visualization. In addition to this there is proposed an idea of eye tracking subsystem implementation to adapt the logic of contextual data visualization to the user’s behavior. © Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2019.

Revealing academic web interlinking motives through webometrics and statistical techniques: Nigerian university websites as a case study

The websites of the universities of Africa's most populous country Nigeria were examined. The goal was to unearth the reasons why external hyperlinks are placed on these sites and identify any peculiarities by geographical location. Academic website interlinking motivations were formulated. Over 6,000 hyperlinks placed on the websites of 86 Nigerian universities were categorised under these interlinking motivations. Categorising the motivations by examining the source and target pages of each hyperlink was an arduous task. Statistical analysis offered a clearer picture of the interlinking motives. A chi-squared test revealed distinctive features, which are characteristic of specific geographical regions of Nigeria. The study serves as a route to further research on feasibility of findings in other developing countries. Results obtained could be of great importance for academic webpage developers and authors. The results could modify their work towards improving the use of hyperlinks as a major communication tool on the web. Copyright © 2016 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.

Recently, in Mathematical and Computational Applications Journal Chiu et al. [1] and Chen and Chiu [2] propose an inventory model based on EPQ with rework to determine the replenishment lot size and the number of shipments for a vendor-buyer integrated production-inventory system. They solve the inventory problem by considering both variables as continuous. However, the number of shipments must be considered as discrete variable. In this direction, this paper revisits and solves the inventory problem of [1-2] considering the decision variables according to their nature. Two easy and improved algorithms are proposed which simplify and complement the research works of [1-2].

We introduce notions of ordinary and standard products of a-finite measures and prove their existence. This approach allows us to construct invariant extensions of ordinary and standard products of Haar measures. In particular, we construct translation-invariant extensions of ordinary and standard Lebesgue measures on R∞ and Rogers-Fremlin measures on l∞, respectively, such that topological weights of quasi-metric spaces associated with these measures are maximal （i.e., 2c）. We also solve some Fremlin problems concerned with an existence of uniform measures in Banach spaces.

Data flow processing is a common task of embedded systems which is usually modeled as a pipeline. Errors in a block of this pipeline can be propagated through it thus leading to unexpected and erroneous behaviors. For safety related applications, this pipeline has to be able to identify and react to failures. The DMOSES model-driven development method uses deterministic UML activities to describe and implement data flow processing. This method ensures deterministic behavior of concurrent processing. Design by Contract defines formal, precise and verifiable interfaces for software components. We propose a development method for safe data flow processing based on the integration of this concept in deterministic UML activities. This integration allows the identification of errors by detection of contracts violation. This paper presents an extension of the DMOSES tool for contracts verification at the model level and their monitoring at runtime.
