The compressive strength of mortar containing glass powder(GP) and/or glass aggregate(GA) was tested, and its microstructure was also studied by thermogravimetric and differential thermal analysis(TG-DTA), scanning electron microscopy(SEM), energy dispersive spectroscopic analysis(EDX), and X-ray diffraction(XRD) techniques. The incorporation of GA would decrease the compressive strength of the mortar in the absence of GP. Incorporating both GA and GP could change the hydration environment, promote pozzolanic reaction of GP and improve the compressive strength. GP does not lead to but can effectively control ASR(Alkali Silica Reaction). GP and GA do not transform the type of hydrates, but have a great influence on the amounts of hydration products, and generate more calcium silicate hydrate(C-S-H gel) with lower Ca/Si ratio. GP and GA with good gradation will make the microstructure denser.

The study contributes to infographic approaches when providing comprehensive assessment of city areas during reorganization. It presents infografic models and prospective tool for infographic modelling, visualization, analysis and quality evaluation. The object of study is infographic model of 'renovation' options of city blocks. The term 'renovation' has been actively used in the directive documents and Decrees of the Government of Moscow from 2005 till nowadays. The task of the study was the development of methods for assessing the diversity of parameters of demolished, reconstructed and newly erected buildings and structures of housing stock and social infrastructure. Method that has been used in the study was structural modification of the basis infographic model presented in the article. Conclusions of the study show that a 'star' multilayered infographical model produces good results when evaluating the quality of urban area 'renovative' variants and it proposes R-language as a development tool for such future models. Also, the study has indicated to the fact that city environment began to be evaluated not only as a socio-technical, but also as a cyber-physical system.

The rapid globalisation of the construction market should bring new potential for the engineeringconstruction (EC) industry in terms of collaboration inside and outside of the national borders. Especially, engineering outsourcing is established as a global sector practice and expected to be a booming business in the future. There is a rich literature describing possible strategies, organisational forms and set ups and potential benefits of these internationalisation processes. Besides, the challenges that these forms of cooperation may involve have also largely be identified and discussed. However, there is less focus on how these collaborations occur in practice, in particular how they are initiated and negotiated and in which context they take place. Looking at a small network of Swedish engineering companies which have been active on the globalised market, we followed their concrete considerations, choices and actions in developing contacts and creating collaboration with foreign partners. To do so, we draw on a strategy as practice approach. The practice perspective defines strategy as something performed by people opposed to something a company has, and identifies strategy as the strategic activities reiterated in time by the diverse actors interacting in an organizational context, i.e., strategizing. The empirical material consists mainly of a longitudinal case study of a small engineering company and its network trying to expand to China, including interviews of two project managers of other engineering companies who have also engaged in an internationalisation process. The results feature project managers as strategy practitioners, using, what appears mundane project management tools, yet contain the radical strategic moves of expanding to China. This praxis underlines the lack of classical long term strategy in favour of ad hoc solutions and the central role of project managers in creating these international projects.

The increased use of BIM in the building sector have led certain actors to commence riding on the big data hype. Big data techniques allow the use of unstructured data alongside structured data to an extent that was previously impossible. Science and technology studies (STS) approaches are used to examine information standards as a technology to organise big data applications in building. Crucially, opportunities are strongly guided by the data that is collected about buildings, and thus by the understanding of what a building is. Building information standards are viewed as performative and their becoming as a process of power, understanding and emerging interests. The empirical material stems from a study on the shaping of a Danish classification standard and its implementation in a Danish hospital project. The analysis shows several performative aspects and particular ways in which a building can be understood: First, there is a focus on the internal structure of a building as a product and less on the process that leads to making a product. Second, a systems theory approach to building structure understands building components as having functions in a way that aligns well with the installation part of the building. Third, delimitations within which information standards propose to collect data implies a focus on building components as material over components being economical entities. Performativity struggles during the shaping of the standard are expected to continue also during its implementation phase in an environment where multiple standards co-exist. On this background we discuss whether the building information standard, meant to be a big data technology enabler, might become a barrier for big data.

Combing the current situation of cultural and creative industry parks in Xihu District of Hangzhou, analyzing the supporting elements of its layout, cultural and creative industry Pars in Xihu District have the characteristics of obvious group block distribution and the dominant function of each park is obviously influenced by the supporting elements. This paper selected four municipal cultural and creative industry parks for the investigation of their operating conditions. It is found out that the park construction performance of different construction foundation, positioning, development model is quite afferent. Therefore, it suggests that the creative industry park should be integrated with urban life, commerce, business and other functions. The park with weak ecological foundation should optimize the image of the park by means of urban renewal, and the policy should be inclined to retain talents and so on.

The investment and construction industry demonstrates a steady trend of accelerating the moral and physical wear and tear of fixed assets. In these conditions, methods for forecasting the most probable transformations of the construction project, of organizational and technological methods for dismantling of structures, of application and disposal of used materials, and of the complete liquidation of the facility become in demand. The organizational and technological transition of the construction industry into the closed life cycle of the construction object becomes the actual and priority strategic goal. The transition methodology assumes that the conceptual stage of design is supplemented by forecasting the final stages of the building's life cycle, which includes ensuring the processability of liquidation of the real estate object and planning the full life cycle of the facility. To do this, at the early stages of design, the most probable time for the moral and physical aging of the structures and engineering systems of the object is determined; the most probable tasks of modernization, reconstruction and liquidation are identified; substantiated and provided for by organizational and technological solutions, corresponding to the tasks of reconstruction and liquidation of the project. Obviously, with the current scale of construction, the urban development area should be considered in the project as a common space of vital activity. Accordingly, the goals and interests of participants in the life cycle of the building should be implemented predictably and manageable in the direction of integrating goals and interests on the basis of ecosystem thinking. We need to predict and evaluate the likely reactions of socio-economic and ecological systems, and in accordance with this, adjust the goals, directions and scale of investment in construction. The development of applied research in this area will make it possible to bring investment and construction activities t
