In order to explore the valuation system of civilized construction cost of housing construction projects, this paper proposes to divide the standardized level of civilized construction, calculate the cost of civilized construction by classification, and study the difference of the cost of civilized construction at each level. First, determine the civilized construction cost measures subitem, civilized construction standards are divided into qualified, municipal civilized construction standards, provincial civilized construction standards;Secondly, the PSO-ELM civilized construction cost calculation model is constructed to obtain the cost rates of civilized construction under each standard level, and then the grey correlation method is used to analyze the differences of civilized construction costs. Finally, taking the housing construction project in w City as an example, the rate of civilized construction under qualified, municipal and provincial standards is 3.70%, 4.09% and 4.38%, which is in line with the actual market. The results show that the increase of civilized construction cost of municipal standard compared with qualified standard is mainly reflected in bare ground coverage, enclosure, site import and export, while the increase of civilized construction cost of provincial standard compared with municipal standard is mainly reflected in vehicle washing dust and noise reduction health and epidemic prevention. © 11th International Symposium on Project Management, ISPM 2023. The efficiency of a photovoltaic cell decreases with increased temperature. Excessive overheating caused by the absorption of incident solar radiation reduces the production of electricity. One of the ways to keep the panel cooler is to dissipate the heat from its backside. An aluminium honeycomb structure filled with microencapsulated phase change material (PCM) can dissipate enough heat to reduce overheating and improve the efficiency of the solar cell. Designing of Building’s Integrated Photovoltaic systems with PCM requires complex calculations considering wide variety of conditions. Finite element method (FEM) provides a robust tool, but this approach requires a very complex mesh domain due to the thin aluminium wall of the honeycomb structure, as well as iterative calculation process of boundary conditions accounting for complex convective and radiative heat transfer. Both require extensive computation time and FEM are not effective. The paper presents simplified cylindrical heat transfer model, which allows for faster computing with similar results. A relative analysis of standard labour output constants for building construction works and materials in Andhra Pradesh state, India

construction operatives in ten different works of concrete and masonry in Andhra Pradesh, India were compared. Ten building sites were purposefully chosen based on a targeted sampling process. Based on AP Standard Data administered to the operatives, an assumed total labour output was obtained. In order to gather an accurate total labour output, a proper work was carried out. When evaluating whether there is a statistically significant variation between claimed and computed labour outputs, student t-test and Pearson coefficient of correlation (r) are implied. With varying degrees, the outputs computed were consistently less than the claimed results (i.e., among 5 percent and 50 percent). Based on t-values, r, and p-values, the determination of the labour productivities showed to be statistically changed from the operator claims, with a level of significance taken as 5% and degree of freedom taken as 10. This emphasised the general conclusion that cost estimates and approaches supported guessing figures might be misleading. As a result of the study, we have identified methods for guessing and planning based on the number of gang hours for each work item, and have provided a useful starting point for learning additional subjects related to building projects and building types. This thus prompted the practitioners to discontinue using guess figures of labour output when doing things like estimating the value of a building project or designing its development programme. Furthermore, it recommended additional studies in which labour outputs of different construction operations and construction types are compared, instead of trying to match those activities. © 2021

The civilized construction of construction project is an important means of urban civilization construction. The evaluation of civilized construction level of construction unit is very important to the civilized site construction of engineering project. Based on the inspection standards of civilized construction in various provinces and cities in our country, this paper sorts out the main components of the cost of civilized construction, summarizes 12 items of civilized construction cost factors such as bare ground coverage, site hardening, and divides the level of civilized construction into four categories: unqualified, qualified, good and excellent, and establishes the evaluation system of civilized construction level. Random forest model is introduced to evaluate the level of civilization construction. The results show that the random forest model has a higher accuracy of 92.1% than the support vector machine and BP neural network model, which can be used for the evaluation of civilized construction level. In addition, this paper also lists the importance of 12 evaluation indexes to civilized construction level, which can provide reference for the civilized construction management of construction units. © (2023) by Aussino Academic Publishing House All rights reserved.

This study takes the carbon footprint of prefabricated buildings as the research object, and divides its physical and chemical process into four stages: building materials mining (production), prefabricated component production, material transportation and on-site construction. According to the carbon footprint sources of each stage, a carbon footprint model is established, and the carbon footprint factors and consumption factors required in the model are analyzed. Build a three-dimensional model based on BIM technology, and convert the consumption in combination with the project consumption quota to provide a data basis for calculation. The carbon footprint concentration produced in each stage of prefabricated buildings and cast-in-place buildings is analyzed by cases, and corresponding countermeasures and suggestions are put forward. © 2023, The Author(s).

With the implementation of "transport power" strategy and the 14th "Five-Year" plan in China, urban-rural integration (URI) and rural revitalization has become the emphasis. To accommodate the long-term memory and correlation between passenger volume back-and-forth urban and rural areas, a bivariate autoregressive fractionally integrated moving average (ARFIMA) model was presented to predict highway passenger volume, in which ARFIMA model can address the long-term memory and bivariate feature can accommodate the correlation. First, the ARFIMA model was adopted to predict passenger flow from urban to rural and from rural to urban area separately, and then the results were compared with those of the bivariate ARFIMA model, which estimated passenger flow from urban to rural and from rural to urban area simultaneously. The proposed model was validated by using Wuhan Statistical Yearbook 2008-2020 maintained by Wuhan Municipal Bureau of Statistics. The results revealed that the ARFIMA model with the long-term memory can predict the passenger volume simultaneously, and the prediction accuracy of the proposed model is better than that of the singular models. The findings make an alternative for predicting passenger volume and provide potential insights into corresponding policy making during URI process. © ASCE.

This paper presents a reliability-based settlement analysis of T-shaped deep cement mixing(TDM)pile-supported embankments over soft *** uncertainties of the mechanical properties of the in-situ soil,pile,and embankment,and the effect of the pile shape are considered *** analyses are performed using Monte Carlo Simulations in combination with an adaptive Kriging(using adaptive sampling algorithm).Individual and system failure probabilities,in terms of the differential and maximum settlements(serviceability limit state(SLS)requirements),are *** reliability results for the embankments supported by TDM piles,with various shapes,are compared and discussed together with the results for conventional deep cement mixing pile-supported embankments with equivalent pile *** influences of the inherent variabilities in the material properties(mean and coefficient of variation values)on the reliability of the piled embankments,are also *** study shows that large TDM piles,particularly those with a shape factor of greater than 3,can enhance the reliability of the embankment in terms of SLS requirements,and even avoid unacceptable reliability levels caused by variability in the material properties.

The pulp and paper industry has grown and created tremendous volumes of byproducts (e.g., fly ash) via combustion process. Unfortunately, most of them are being landfilled;in the meantime, environmental regulations restrict the disposal in landfill because of high disposal cost and reduced land due to urbanization. Therefore, the pulp and paper industries urgently seek for its beneficial reuse and one of the most cost-effective applications is a building and construction sector, particularly its reuse as geomaterials such as stabilizing soils. This paper provides a comprehensive review of the beneficial use of the paper sludge ash (PSA) in geotechnical engineering applications. Specifically, the paper explored the state-of-the-art knowledge in the areas of physical, chemical, and mineralogical properties of PSA, geotechnical engineering properties (e.g., strength, stiffness, shear strength parameters, etc.) and field applications of the PSA. In addition, the paper looks into geo-environmental applications such as PSA’s water absorption and retention performance and its performance as adsorbent for environmental contaminants. © 2025 Techno-Press, Ltd.

Dynamic evolution in mechanical characteristics of complex supporting structures during large section tunnel construction

The shallow tunnelling method(STM)often uses temporary supports to divide large section tunnels into several closed or semiclosed sections so as to share the upper *** complex support system composed of primary and temporary supports can ensure safety during tunnel *** on the large section tunnel of Beijing Subway Line 12,the mechanical characteristics of support system by the double-side-drift method(DSDM)during excavation and demolition were analyzed through numerical simulation and *** study showed that the middle cave excavation was the most critical stage of the DSDM,during which the load on the supporting structure increased *** temporary vertical support bore most of the new load during middle cave *** the demolition stage,the load was redistributed,which caused arch settlement and section *** removal of the temporary vertical support exerted the greatest impact in this *** lateral temporary inverted arch changed from axial compression to axial tension after the middle and lower caves were *** on the mechanical characteristics of the support system,some engineering suggestions were proposed for large section tunnel *** research results can provide reference for the design and construction of similar large section tunnels.

The rise of high-speed railway induces an increased probability of serious derailment accidents of operating high-speed trains during earthquakes.A two-and-half-dimensional finite element model(2.5D FEM)was developed to investigate the ground vibration under combined seismic and high-speed train *** examples were demonstrated and the proposed method was turned out to provide an effective means for estimating ground vibration caused by high-speed train load during *** dynamic ground displacement caused by combined seismic and high-speed train loads increases with the increase of the train speed,and decreases with the increase of the stiffness of ground *** with the seismic load alone,the coupling effect of the seismic and high-speed train loads results in the low-frequency amplification of ground *** moving train load dominants the medium–high frequency contents of the ground vibration induced by combined *** is observed that the coupling effects are significant as the train speed is higher than a critical *** critical train speed increases with the increase of the ground stiffness and the intensity of the input earthquake motion.
