作者: LARIMER, G MCCOLLUM, J SCHAUB, B VANLIEW, D WHIPPLE, C Gary Larimer:received his B.S. (1974) and M.S. (1975) degrees in naval architecture and marine engineering from the University of Michigan. He has worked with the Bechtel Professional Corporation the David Taylor Naval Ship Research and Development Center and the United States Coast Guard. He is a member of SNAME ASNE ABYC and IMTI. He is the author of “Reaction Fin Applications In Marine Propulsion” which documented the use of asymmetric pre-swirl vanes to increase propulsion efficiency aboard a 41-ft Coast Guard utility boat. It was presented on 5 March 1987 at the Hampton Roads section of SNAME and was nominated for the section paper of the year award. CWO3 Joe Bobby McCollum USCG: iscurrently engineering officer of the Surface Effect Ship Division Seventh Coast Guard District Key West Florida. Prior to this assignment he was assistant engineering officer on the USCGCUte.His other duty tours included engineering assignments on theCape Currenta 95-foot patrol boat on the USCGCUnimak a 311-foot cutter CG Loran Station Upolo Point Hawaii and CG Station Sabine Pass Texas. CWO McCollum was responsible for modifying and repairing the SESs and contributed many unique problem solving ideas which resulted in much improved operation of the Coast Guard Surface Effect Ship Division. Benton H. Schaub:is a senior engineer with Maritime Dynamics Inc. He has a bachelor of science degree in naval architecture and marine engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Mr. Schaub has fifteen years of experience working as a test engineer project engineer and design engineer on advanced marine vehicle projects and is a recognized authority in the areas of hull structure seal system and machinery design for surface effect ships. He has participated in virtually every USN SES design development and test evaluation program including: XR-5 XR-10 SES-100A SES-100A1 and the SES-200. Judson:is the technical director for the Electromagnetic System Environment Design and Engineering Project within the Autonetics Marine Systems Division of Rockwell International. He received the Ph.D E. E. degree from Michigan State University in 1964 and has served in a variety of management and technical positions with Rockwell International since 1968. Dr. Judson's military service was aboard submarines from 1952–1956. Gerald R. Aschoff:is the engineering manager for the Electromagnetic System Environment Design and Engineering Project within the Autonetics Marine Systems Division of Rockwell International. He received the M.A. degree in mathematics from California State University at Fullerton in 1972 and has served in a variety of management and technical positions with Rockwell International since 1967. Mr. Aschoff's forte is in the area of electromagnetic effects upon electronic systems. John W. Newcomb:is the program manager for the Electromagnetic System Environment Design and Engineering Project within the Autonetics Marine Systems Division of Rockwell International. His twenty years of professional experience include a three-year tour as an engineering duty officer attached to SupShip 3 in Brooklyn New York. Civil service experience includes positions with DTNSRDC NAVSEC Preliminary Design Division and NAVSEA ‘s Aegis Shipbuilding Project office. Since joining Rockwell International in 1976 he has filled a number of project engineering and program management assignments dealing with ship design engineering and acquisition. Mr. Newcomb holds a B. S. in naval architecture and marine engineering from Webb Institute and an M. B. A. from George Washington University. He is a member of ASNE and SNAME.

He has a bachelor's degree from the U.S. Naval Academy and master's degrees in operations research from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School and in industrial personnel administration from George Washington University. Previous related positions include nuclear cruise project officer supervisor of shipbuilding Newport News VA and fleet maintenance and modernization analyst CNO's Office of Systems Analysis (OP. 96). R. P. Riddick III:is a principal staff member of Advanced Technology and deputy program director for the Configuration Management Directorate of the Systems Analysis Operations Center. He contributes technical expertise in configuration management and data management to the Aegis shipbuilding program. Mr. Riddick applies more than 15 years of comprehensive technical experience in ship design and construction coupled with an understanding of the SupShip/shipyard environment to efforts in support of the Aegis cruiser director.

作者: OREM, JB The authoris currently group technical director at Advanced Technology Inc. where he is engaged in system engineering and ship design programs. A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy in 1951 he served in various surface assignments until attending MIT in 1955. Subsequent to becoming an engineering duty officer he served in naval shipyards afloat engineering ship design and fleet ship salvage billets. He directed the preliminary design of FFG-7 and later served as project technical director. Subsequent tours included duty as project manager nuclear cruiser acquisitions and assistant to the deputy under secretary of defense (acquisition). Upon retirement he joined Sun Shipbuilding and Dry dock Company serving as V. P. program management and V. P. engineering. His education includes a B. S. from the U.S. Naval Academy and an M. S. in naval architecture and marine engineering and a naval engineer's degree from MIT in 1958.

Director of the Master of Public Administration Program and Associate Professor of Political Science at Indiana State University He has written papers and articles on financing wildlife programs and environmental management programs appearing in Public Administration Review Leisure Sciences Journal of Environmental Systems Environmental Management and Environmental Review among others. Formerly Dr. Mangun was the Project Manager for Policy Analysis and National Surveys for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in Washington DC. Assistant Professor of Environmental Studies at the University of California-Davis. He has published extensively on natural resource economics topic areas providing a blend between his experience with management decisionmaking and academic interests. His articles appear in leading journals such as Land Economics Journal of Environmental Management and Journal of Leisure Research. Formerly Dr. Loomis was a resource economist with the Western Energy and Land Use Team of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in Ft. Collins Colorado. Over the past several years he has been involved as an instructor o f short courses around the United States on valuation techniques for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers personnel.

She has conducted research and authored articles and monographs in the areas of aging substance abuse health and the implementation of applied research techniques. CHARLENE M. HANSON R.N. M.S.N. FNP-C is the Director of Georgia Southern College's Family Nurse Practitioner Program. A family nurse practitioner in rural areas of New York and Georgia for eleven years she was recently selected as Georgia's Nurse Practitioner of the Year by the Georgia Nurses Association. She is currently involved with the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties in a research project to study desired nurse practitioner competencies. In addition to her role as an educator she practices in a primary health care provider role with rural residents and migrant workers. DONNA HODNICKI R.N. M.N. FNP-C is a member of the faculty of the Family Nurse Practitioner Program at Georgia Southern College. Her focus of instruction is in the area of physical assessment and primary health care management for rural and migrant populations. For the past five years she has practiced as a family nurse practitioner providing hedlth care to rural and migrant underserved populations in North Carolina and Georgia. MARGARET WYSS DORROH R.N. M.N. C.N.M. is an Instructor in the Family Nurse Practitioner Program at Georgia Southern College. Hornby has more than Jive years experience in conducting research in the field of soil science. He has designed and supervised the installation of unsaturated zone monitoring (UZM) equipment) or hazardous and non-hazardous land treatment facilities and conducted on-site evaluations of existing UZM systems. He is co-author of the U.S. EPA draft “Permit Guidance Manual on Hazardous Waste Land Treatment Demonstrations.” J. David Zabcik received an associate degree in forestry from Temple Junior College in 1974 a bachelor of science degree in agronomy from Texas A&M University in 1976 and a master of agriculture degree in soil physics from Texas A&M University in 1982. Zabcik has more than eight years experience in conducting research in the field of soil science. He has been project manager of permitting activities for several hazardous and non-hazardous waste land treatment facilities which involves permitting strategy development site assessment preparation of the land treatment demonstration unsaturated zone monitoring and treatment program. Wayne Crawley received a bachelor of business administration from North Texas State University in 1975 and a master of science in range science from Texas A&M University in 1982. He has more than five years experience in natural resource management. Crawley has prepared waste management and monitoring plans for land treatment units. He has written closure plans and supervised field work for several surface impoundment closures. Crawley has directed the installation of soil-pore liquid samplers and ground water monitoring wells at hazardous and non-hazardous waste treatment facilities.
