A soft-switched, multi output converters for LED drivers is presented. A LED driver is an electrical circuit, which is used to power the Light Emitting Diode. The paper presents the two Buck-Boost converters, in which the inductors of those converters are interleaved. To achieve this, a coupled inductor is used. This interleaved technique, makes the active switches to operate at Zero Voltage Switching (ZVS) and the diodes to operate at Zero Current Switching (ZCS). In addition, the interleaving technique also reduces the ripples in the current of the inductors. As a result, the loss becomes less, and the component size and cost will be reduced. The paper presents the circuit with two outputs-Buck and Boost. According to the simulation results, it is observed that all the semiconductor devices are operated at either ZVS (or) ZCS with high circuit efficiency. © 2024 IEEE.

Real-time production surveillance and optimization requires availability of predictive well models with reasonable accuracy that can estimate production rates in response to change in operating conditions. These models that are mostly physics based are parameterized in terms of gas oil ratio (GOR), water cut (WC), productivity index (PI), and reservoir pressure. Further, the models are tuned using measured data namely production rates of oil, water, gas, and pressure measurements such as downhole gauge pressure, wellhead and flowline pressures that are captured during a well test. For mature oil fields where, well tests are infrequent or sensors start malfunctioning, relevant data required for model tuning is no longer available. In absence of updated models, real-time predictions tend to deviate with time compared to the observed data resulting in less reliable well rate allocation and production optimization recommendations, if any. This work describes a regression-based technique and its application for predicting quantitative as well as directional changes in well parameters between well tests that can be used to improve well allocations. A regression method that estimates well parameters while minimizing a non-linear least square loss function derived from deviation between measured and model-based estimates of rate and pressure data is implemented. The method can estimate well parameters for both an individual and multiple wells simultaneously while solving for a network of wells connected to production separator using IPM GAP. The application of the method to a subsea asset is demonstrated while evaluating its performance for different scenarios comprising variation in number of wells and well parameters. Additionally, the capability of the method to predict directional changes in well parameters is demonstrated by validating it against historical data. Traffic stream models characterize the relationship between the traffic parameters and represent the spatio-temporal variations in the traffic conditions. This research work is an attempt to compare different macroscopic traffic stream models of the heterogeneous traffic on Indian highways. This work intends to develop accurate traffic stream models and select the appropriate one that provides the precise traffic flow characteristics by analyzing the traffic speed, flow, and density parameters, including the dynamic passenger car units (DPCU) factors. Field data from the National Highways (NH) of the Southern Indian region was collected using the Infra-red sensor-based technique. The speed-flow-density model that reported high accuracy among the others based on the highest R2 value and least error values (RMSE and MAPE) was considered the best-fitted model for representing the macroscopic traffic behavior. Pipes’ family models was found to be the best fitted model as it gave realistic results. Further, the comparison of the three different methods of passenger car unit (PCU) estimation (speed-area ratio method, Indo-HCM: 2017, and IRC-64: 1990) was carried out. The results reveal that the traffic capacity estimated using the Indo-HCM: 2017 suggested DPCU values overestimated the traffic capacity, while the IRC-64: 1990 suggested PCU values underestimated the traffic capacity compared to the traffic capacity estimated using the DPCU values from the speed-area ratio method. The study can be employed in practical traffic flow modeling applications such as design, control, and management of highway facilities if transport practitioners, consulting authorities, stakeholders, and other agencies are to plan and operate the highways under the new paradigm. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Corrosion is one of the primary causes for failures of underground metal pipes. The literatures on corrosion of pipes indicate that the effect of corrosion on the mechanical properties of pipe materials is highly harmful and needs prevention. However, very few research work is available on corrosion effect related to various corrosion related failures. The aim of this paper is to present a comprehensive investigation on various corrosion induced failure, synthesized corrosion inhibitor and corrosion resistance coatings for reduction this environmental impact. In this paper, the mechanism of corrosion in concrete structures is studied and analysed. In addition, kinetics of corrosion, and reactions of the concrete structures that resulted in corrosion failure are discussed. Improving the design efficiency of hydropower hub buildings and promoting the application of intelligence in engineering construction and operation management have been critical issues in hydropower engineering construction. The major challenges are mainly reflected in the difficulties of multidisciplinary collaboration and the inefficient coordination of work involving multiple parties. This paper proposes a building information modeling (BIM)-based technology system architecture for digital design, intelligent construction, and intelligent operation, which combines BIM technology with geographic information system (GIS), computer aided engineering (CAE), internet of things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), and other technologies. The proposed system includes a BIM-based multi-professional forward collaborative design method, a BIM-based engineering construction management model, and a real-time safety analysis and evaluation technology system based on actual measured safety information and construction. The hydroelectrical engineering BIM (HydroBIM) comprehensive control platform is developed. In the planning and design stage, the platform enables the whole process and full-professional collaborative digital design. In the engineering construction management stage, it supports the whole process and all-round information management and control of contract, schedule, quality, safety, and investment. In the operation management stage, the platform facilitates the integrated management of engineering safety evaluation, early warning, and emergency plan based on monitoring data and the consistency criterion of positive and negative evaluation. Plant diseases that may seriously impact agriculture are often discovered with the naked eye, albeit this can take more time and increase the likelihood of a false positive. This issue may be resolved and the chance of decreased plant output is decreased with early discovery. The aim of this experimental research is to deploy intelligence, which can be effectively used for picture classification utilising numerous convolutional neural network (CNN) manners, to automatically identify tomato plant leaf illnesses more quickly. For better performance measurement, the Visual Geometry Group (VGG) model, which is based on CNN, is employed. To diagnose illnesses, this research concludes to categorise photos using VGG-19 transfer learning architectures with various optimizers. In the experimental comparative research, an accuracy of 97.67% and 87.67% was achieved as training and testing with nadam optimizer.

To promote the large-scale utilization of coal-gasification ash, this study examines the seismic performance of concrete columns fabricated by replacing cement with coal-gasification ash. Static tests are conducted on three coal-gasification ash concrete columns (CGACCs) and one normal concrete column, with test variables including concrete type and the strength grade of the coal-gasification ash concrete. A finite-element model based on the material properties of coal-gasification ash concrete is developed and analyzed. The results show that, at the same concrete strength (C40), the CGACCs exhibit a 13 % higher peak load, 105 % greater cumulative energy dissipation, and 4.8 % improved ductility. As the strength grade of the coal-gasification ash concrete increases (C30–C50), the peak load of the CGACCs increases by 24 %, with further improvement in deformation performance. The finite-element model, which accounts for the material properties of coal-gasification ash concrete, yields results that closely align with the experimental data (load error: 5 %;energy dissipation error: 9.7 %). Additionally, increasing the axial compression ratio enhances load-bearing capacity but reduces ductility, whereas increasing the longitudinal rebar diameter improves both load-bearing capacity and ductility. © 2025

An attempt has been made to investigate and optimize the recovery of Ni and Al through sulphuric acid(3.0-5.5 mol/L)leaching under different operating *** the leaching experiments,it was possible to extract 98.5%of NiO and 40.7%of Al_(2)O_(3)under the conditions of 5.5 mol/L H_(2)SO_(4),reaction time of 4 h,solid-to-liquid ratio 0.2 g/mL,temperature of 358 K,particle size<100μm,200-250 r/min with 5.0 g catalyst *** leached liquor Al was separated by selective crystallization using 1.4 mol/L KOH and Ni was separated by selective precipitation using 0.3 mol/L H_(2)C_(2)O_(4).From the studies,it is possible to recover around 97.9%of NiO having 98.3%purity,around 25%of Al_(2)O_(3)was also recovered as alum-(K)having 99%purity and 14.7%of Al_(2)O_(3)as a salt of Al-K-C_(2)O_(4)-SO_(4).Sulphuric acid was found to be a suitable leaching agent for selective leaching and it was also observed that alum-(K)can be selectively crystallized from sulphate *** study also indicated the effective extraction and recovery of nickel and aluminium which were well supported by characterization studies using TG-DTA/DTG and XRD techniques.
