Metasurface-based holograms,or metaholograms,offer unique advantages including enhanced imaging quality,expanded field of view,compact system size,and broad operational ***-channel metaholograms,capable of switching between multiple projected images based on the properties of illuminating light such as state of polarization and angle of incidence,have emerged as a promising solution for realizing switchable and dynamic holographic ***,existing designs typically grapple with challenges such as limited multiplexing channels and unwanted crosstalk,which severely constrain their practical ***,we present a new type of waveguidebased multi-channel metaholograms,which support six independent and fully crosstalk-free holographic display channels,simultaneously multiplexed by the spin and angle of guided incident light within the glass *** employ a k-space translation strategy that allows each of the six distinct target images to be selectively translated from evanescent-wave region to the center of propagation-wave region and projected into free space without crosstalk,when the metahologram is under illumination of a guided light with specific spin and azimuthal *** addition,by tailoring the encoded target images,we implement a three-channel polarization-independent metahologram and a two-channel full-color(RGB)***,the number of multiplexing channels can be further increased by expanding the k-space’s central-period region or combing the k-space translation strategy with other multiplexing techniques such as orbital angular momentum *** work provides a novel approach towards realization of high-performance and compact holographic optical elements with substantial information capacity,opening avenues for applications in AR/VR displays,image encryption,and information storage.

Mutual coupling reduction or isolation enhancement in antenna arrays is an important area of research as it severely affects the performance of an *** this paper,a new type of compact and highly isolated Multiple-Input-Multiple-Output(MIMO)antenna for ultra-wideband(UWB)applications is *** design consists of four radiators that are orthogonally positioned and confined to a compact 40×40×0.8 mm3 *** final antenna design uses an inverted L shape partial ground to produce an acceptable reflection coefficient(S11<−10 dB)in an entire UWB band(3.1–10.6)giga hertz(GHz).Moreover,the inter-element isolation has also been enhanced to>20 db for majority of the UWB *** antenna was fabricated and tested with the vector network analyzer(VNA)and in an anechoic chamber for scattering parameters and radiation ***,different MIMO diversity performance metrics are also measured to validate the proposed *** simulation results and the experimental results from the constructed model agree quite *** proposed antenna is compared with similar designs in recently published literature for various performance *** of its low envelope correlation coefficient(ECC<0.1),high diversity gain(DG>9.99 dB),peak gain of 4.6 dB,reduced channel capacity loss(CCL<0.4 b/s/Hz),and average radiation efficiency of over 85%,the proposed MIMO antenna is ideally suited for practical UWB applications.

The emerging field of topological acoustics provides exciting possibilities for controlling sound propagation with extraordinary robustness. Conventional topological acoustic waveguides built from topological edge states, which arise solely from the nontrivial topology in the momentum space, usually have restricted shapes due to their crystalline structures. Here, we show that, using an acoustic topological system with both nontrivial topologies in the real and momentum spaces, free-form acoustic topological waveguides can be constructed. These topological waveguides support disclination-localized states, caused by the interplay between topological lattice defects and the valley-Hall topology. As demonstrated in our simulations and experiments, such disclination waveguides can take arbitrary shapes and form open arcs within the lattice, which are not possible for previous crystalline acoustic topological waveguides. Furthermore, by increasing the number of topological lattice defects, we can realize more than one topological waveguide in one lattice. They join at the topological lattice defect and form a topological waveguide network, enabling more complicated functionalities such as beam splitting. Our results point to a promising direction for free-form acoustic topological devices with the advantages of embedded forms, easy cascading, and high robustness.
