Radiotherapy(RT)mediated tumor immunogenicity offers an opportunity for simultaneous RT and immunotherapy via immunogenic cell death(ICD),which releases damaged-associated molecular patterns and generates“eat me”signals for the innate immune system to modulate the ***,tumor hypoxia significantly reduces the therapeutic efficacy of RT and hampers its mediation of ICD ***,Au@Bi_(2)Te_(3)-polyethylene glycol(PEG)was rationally constructed as theranostic nanozymes for mild photothermal therapy,tumor hypoxia modulation,and RT adjuvant cancer *** tumor-specific production of oxygen could not only augment the effects of RT by enhanced reactive oxygen species(ROS)generation,but also reduce hypoxia-related cytokines and downregulate programmed cell death-ligand 1(PD-L1)to unleash immune-enhancing T ***,Au@Bi_(2)Te_(3)-PEG could act as an immune-blocking inhibitor by efficient ICD induction with the combination of mild-photothermal therapy+RT to inhibit the tumor immune escape and improve antitumor immune *** amounts of CD^(4+) and CD^(8+) Tcells and elevated levels of cytokines could be observed that eventually led to effective post-medication inhibition of primary and abscopal *** computed tomography/photoacoustic imaging allowed noninvasive and real-time tracking of nanoparticle(NP)accumulation and oxygenation status at tumor ***,Au@Bi_(2)Te_(3)-PEG NPs could serve as effective theranostic nanoregulators with remarkable synergistic mildphotothermal/RT/immunotherapy effects that helped reshape the immune microenvironment and had remarkable molecular imaging properties.

In order to resolve the problem of skew phenomenon in the handwritten document image during the scanning process, a new skew angle detection algorithm based on maximum gradient difference as well as Hough transform was proposed in the paper. Firstly, text lines are labeled by using maximum gradient difference, and then we use the method of non-text filtering to get rid of shorter text lines and dots. Finally, margin information is extracted after refining on text lines, and two-stage Hough transform is made to the margin extracted information with the strategy varying from "coarse" to "fine" strategy, calculating the skew angle of document image which is fixed by the average of several longest lines. Experiment results shows that the algorithm detects skew angles of document image more rapidly and accurately than Hough transform alone. © 2011 IEEE.

The purpose of few-shot learning is to learn a classification model with good generalization performance. When there is only one sample or several samples, the model can also be quickly generalized to new categories. In this paper, we use the method based on metric learning to complete the few-shot learning image classification task. In this method, we introduce a feature learning module to improve the representation ability of the feature extraction network. Through category traversal, the module extracts the intra-class common features and inter-class unique features of images. Finally, by comparing the similarity between the input image and the local descriptors of each category, the classification task is completed by the image-to-class measure. This metric is achieved by k-NN search in the local descriptors, in this way, we can make full use of all the local features of a category, thus expressing the distribution of this class more richly and effectively. © 2022 IEEE.

Single-image super-resolution (SR) tasks have achieved fancy success in recent years by leveraging deep convolution neural network (CNN). Although CNNs obtain powerful representation capabilities of reconstructing a high-resolution (HR) image from its corresponding low-resolution (LR) observation, it is hard to apply these accomplishments to real world for its large number of parameters that bring about huge computing resource cost. To solve this problem, many researchers turn their directions to lightening the network by delicate designs while keeping the performance in the high level. In this paper, we propose a new method to further reduce the parameters by using the new feature extraction paradigm called Mixer which only contains Multi-Layer Perceptron (MLP). Compared to convolutional operations, Mixer operation has the same representation capabilities with fewer parameters. In this paper, three typical lightweight networks, where we replace the convolutional operation with Mixer, are used to show the excellent ability. Our experimental results demonstrate that Mixer can help these lightweight networks further reduce the number of parameters by up to 38% while keep their performance in the same level. © 2023 ACM.

Multi-focus image fusion aims at overcoming imaging cameras' finite depth of field by combining information from multiple images with the same scene. In this paper, a regional firing intensity (RFI) is defined, which is based on the statistical characteristic in local window of neuron firing times when pulse coupled neural networks (PCNN) is utilized in the image fusion. A novel image fusion algorithm based on regional firing characteristic PCNN (RFC-PCNN) is proposed and RFI is considered as a determination to select the coefficients of source images. First, a multiscale decomposition on each source image is performed by discrete wavelet transform. Second, PCNN is employed to extract features of source images in wavelet domain. Thirdly, RFI is computed and used to combine the coefficients of source images. Finally, the fused coefficients are used to reconstruct the fused image by an inverse discrete wavelet transform. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm outperforms the wavelet-based and wavelet-PCNN-based fusion algorithms.

Arbitrary shape scene text detection becomes a challenge task due to its background complexity and shape diversity. In this paper, we propose a dual-branch multi-resolution feature-aware enhancement network (DMFE), the lower branch constructs multi-resolution features through a bidirectional feature pyramid network with weights, and the upper branch enhances the perception of multi-scale text at each level through parallel pooling modules with receptive field enhancement. The global and local co-action will integrate high-level semantic information and low-level location information, so as to generate high-quality feature map. Extensive experiments on ICDAR2015, CTW1500 and Total-Text datasets show that the proposed method effectively improves the detection performance of natural scene text. © 2022 IEEE.

It is widely known that, for most natural images, appropriate contrast enhancement can usually lead to improved subjective quality. Despite of its importance to image processing, contrast change has largely been overlooked in the current research of image quality assessment (IQA). To fill this void, in this paper we first report a new and dedicated contrast-changed image database (CID2013). The CID2013 database is composed of four hundred contrast-changed images of fifteen original natural images and the mean opinion scores (MOSs) recorded from twenty-two inexperienced viewers. We then proposed a novel reduced-reference image quality metric for contrast-changed images (RIQMC) using entropies and order statistics of the image histograms. Experimental results on the CID2013, TID2008, and CSIQ databases demonstrate that the proposed RIQMC metric outperforms some mainstream image quality assessment methods.

Community discovery is one of the most important steps to understand the social networks. We propose a hierarchical diffusion method to detect the community structure. Our algorithm is based on the idea that people in different communities usually share less common friends. We also make use of the fact that people usually make decisions based others'choices, especially their friends'. Our algorithm can distinguish between pseudo-communities and meaningful ones. Tests on both classical and synthetic benchmarks show that our algorithm is comparable to state-of-the-art community detection algorithms in both computational complexity and accuracy measured by the so-called normalized mutual information.

In this paper, the strain and vibration of the bridge cable and its compensation device were monitored using fiber optic grating (FBG) sensing technology on the Zhoushan-Daishan Bridge in Zhoushan, Zhejiang province. During the monitoring period, the bridge experienced two typhoon events. The strain and vibration signals were analyzed. The results showed that the typhoon 'Muifa' had a greater impact on the Zhoushan-Daishan Bridge than typhoon 'Hinnamnor'. And there was no movement of the expansion compensation device during the monitoring period.

When they provide Internet Protocol Television （IRTV） services, IP networks face difficulties such as reduced transmission bandwidth, delay, jitter, and packet loss. A terminal-centric solution can improve the image quality by adding control policies like congestion control and error control to the receiving terminal and source code. An end-to-end application layer reliability method is usually required to satisfy IPTV requirements in the IP network. Application Layer Forward Error Correction （AL-FEC） technology solves the problem of packet loss, and can ensure the end-to-end reliability for IPrV services.
