Introduce the basic concept of best rational approximation and constructing procedure of the best rational approximation function in Laplace domain. By an illustrative example the design method of FOC based on best rational approximation is discussed. The performance comparison of transfer functions between the FOC obtained by best rational approximation method and conventional PID shows that it is effective to apply the method in design of FOC, which can guarantee maximum absolute error of amplitude frequency characteristic of approximation function in a given error tolerance.

Search techniques can dramatically change our ability to solve a host of problems in applied science and engineering, many search techniques have been developed and applied successfully in many fields, including search based software engineering (SBSE). As a key problem of combinatorial testing, covering array generation has been widely studied and many search techniques have been applied which can be named as search based combinatorial testing (SBCT). SBCT is a branch of search based software testing (SBST) within SBSE. In this paper, to explore the applicability and effectiveness of SBCT, we design six variants from existing search algorithms: Genetic Algorithm, Particle Swarm Optimization and Ant Colony Algorithm by reversing and randomizing their mechanisms. We study their effectiveness in terms of generating a covering array and compare their performance. Experiments show that these search techniques can work well with distinct performance in covering array generation. We believe that these search techniques can be further improved by fine-tuning their configuration and used in broad ranges of area.

In this paper, we propose a novel algorithm for crowd simulation in real-time virtual environments. The proposed algorithm uses a navigation mesh for global planning in a polygonal multilayered threedimensional (3D) environment and crowd flow-based information to help individuals collision-free. At the same time, the proposed algorithm also focuses on addressing two problems: 1) in order to improve precision of collision-free, we propose based on hierarchy priority for collision-free of the individuals. 2) To avoid "shaking" behaviors of the individuals in the original place, we propose the stopping rule for solving it. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm could be used for crowd simulation in complicated virtual environments.
