Inuence of Electron Donating Ability on Reverse Intersystem Crossing Rate for One Kind of Thermally Activated Delayed Fluorescence Molecules

First-principles calculations are applied for investigating influence of electron donating ability of donor groups in eight thermally activated delayed fluorescence（TADF） molecules on their geometrical structures and transition properties as well as reverse intersystem crossing（RISC） processes. Results show that the diphenylamine substitution in the donor part can slightly change the bond angle but decrease bond length between donor and acceptor unit except for the lowest triplet state（Ti） of carbazole-xanthone molecule. As the electron donating ability of donor groups is increased, the overlap between the highest occupied molecular orbital（HOMO） and the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital（LUMO） is decreased. As the diphenylamine groups are added in donor part, the delocalization of HOMO is enlarged,which brings a decreased energy gap(△ES1-T1) between the lowest singlet excited state（S1）and T1 state. Furthermore, with the calculated spin-orbit coupling coefficient(HSO), one finds that the larger value of ■ is, the faster the RISC is. The results show that all investigated molecules are promising candidates as TADF molecules. Overall, a wise molecular design strategy for TADF molecules,in which a small △ES1-T1 can be achieved by enlarging the delocalization of frontier molecular orbitals with large separation between HOMO and LUMO, is proposed.

In this paper, we propose an error recovery scheme to cope with the frame loss problem in large end-to-end delay scenario. Because Wyner-Ziv coding can produce deterministic output with nondeterministic inputs, we adopt the decoder's error-corrupted reference picture as side information to exploit its correlation with source picture, and thus improve the coding efficiency. To prevent retransmission request, we propose a feasible encoder-driven rate estimation scheme by only storing MVs and part of the error pattern at encoder. Furthermore, a new Laplacian parameter computing method is proposed based on discrete Laplacian PDF. The experimental results show that the proposed estimation schemes have quite high precision, and the error recovery scheme outperforms INTRA refresh scheme up to 5 dB. © 2007 IEEE.

In this paper, the issue of carrier frequency offset (CFO) compensation in interleaved orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) uplink system is investigated. To mitigate the effect of multiple access interference (MAI) caused by CFOs of different users, a new parallel interference cancellation (PIC) compensation algorithm is proposed. This scheme uses minimum mean square error (MMSE) criterion to obtain the estimation of interference users, then circular convolutions [6] are employed to restore MAI and compensate CFO. To tackle the complexity problem of circular convolutions, an efficient MAI restoration and cancellation method is developed. Simulations illustrate the good performance and low computational complexity of the proposed algorithm. © 2009 The Institute of Electronics, Information and communication Engineers.

Colourisation is a kind of computer-aided technology which automatically adds colours to greyscale images. This paper presents a scribble-based colourisation method which treats the flat and edge pixels differently. First, we classify the pixels to flat or edge pixel categories using the neighbourhood similarity pixels searching algorithm. Then, we compute the weighted coefficients of the edge pixels by solving a constraint quadratic programming problem and compute the weighted coefficients of the flat pixels based on their luminance distances. Finally, we transmit the weighted coefficients to the chrominance images according to the joint correlation property between luminance and chrominance channels, and combine with the colours scribbled on by the user to compute all the unknown colours. The experimental results show that our method is effective especially on reducing colour bleeding in the boundary parts and can give better results when only a few colours are scribbled on. © 2018 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.

This study aims to evaluate the therapeutic effects of laser acupuncture(LA)on articular cartilage degradation at the early stage of postmenopausal osteoarthritis(PMOA)by an ultrasound biomicroscopic *** healthy female Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly and evenly divided into three groups-sham,ovariectomized(OVX)and OVXþLA *** the peri-ovarian fatty tissue of the sham rats was *** animals in the OVX and OVXþLA groups underwent bilateral ovariectomy to create a menopause *** day 8 after the ovariectomy,the 2-week LA therapy at acupoints Guanyuan(CV-4),Sanyinjiao(SP-6),and Zusanli(ST36)was performed in the OVXþLA group,while the sham and OVX groups had a sham *** the animals were sacrificed on day *** cartilage tissues in the left knee joint were examined by ultrasound and *** with the sham group,the significantly degenerate alterations(p<0.01)in ultrasound roughness index(URI),reflection coefficient(RC1)and cartilage thickness were found in the OVX group,while the values of these parameters were significantly recovered(p<0.01)in the OVXþLA *** LA treatment enhanced proteoglycans(PGs)content with a significant reduce of the modified Mankin score(p<0.01).The acoustic assessment strongly correlated with the histologic *** results showed that LA treatment could alleviate the postmenopause-induced cartilage degradation and promote tissue *** has potential to be a simple and safe non-pharmacological countermeasure against PMOA for geriatric patient *** ultrasound biomicroscopic technology could be a quantitative evaluation tool of the structural and morphological responses of articular cartilage to LA intervention.

Abnormality Detection (AD), being the core part of intelligent surveillance systems, is calling for growing research interest due to its importance in providing higher efficiency and labor saving. In this paper, we propose a novel Bayesian Network (BN) based AD method for smart surveillance in scenes containing large scale viewpoint changes without modelrelearning. In the proposed AD scheme, Reasoning Layer is introduced into BN to strengthen logical inferences, and a localized Genetic Algorithm (GA) is developed to optimize BN parameters and structure. With the expert knowledge aided BN structure modeling and GA based optimization, the proposed method can provide more robust detection experience with retained accuracy. Experiments on unlearned surveillance test sequences are shown to exhibit the validity of this method. ©Memetic Computing Society.

Multitask learning (MTL) is a promising field in machine learning owing to its capability to improve the generalization performance of all tasks by sharing knowledge among the related tasks. MTL has attracted a large amount of attention in the multitask-related community. In recent years, with the rapid development of distributed machine learning, MTL in a distributed environment becomes a hot research topic. Although MTL can reap great fruit in a distributed environment, the sensitive information, such as photos and voice recordings of the owner, in distributed data may be leaked during training. Consequently, in the distributed settings, one prominent challenge of MTL is to prevent the disclosure of sensitive private data. In this article, we propose a novel approach, federated multitask learning (FMTL), which applies federated learning to MTL in a distributed environment in order to protect the MTL model from being leaked and to better optimize the utility of the MTL model. In FMTL, all the participants independently train their local models on their own dataset in parallel and only transmit their model updates to the central server for aggregation at every epoch. As a result, their learning accuracy is enhanced beyond what is achieved only on their own training data. In this manner, it can achieve the best tradeoff between the utility and privacy: participants not only preserve the privacy of their own data, but also benefit from the models of other participants. The experimental results on annotated facial landmarks in the wild (AFLW) and annotated faces in the wild (AFW) benchmark datasets verify the effectiveness of our framework. © 2020 IEEE.

As deep learning techniques are increasingly applied with greater depth and sophistication in the food industry,the realm of food image processing has progressively emerged as a central focus of research *** work provides an overview of key practices in food image processing techniques,detailing common processing tasks including classification,recognition,detection,segmentation,and image retrieval,as well as outlining metrics for evaluating task performance and thoroughly examining existing food image datasets,along with specialized food-related *** terms of methodology,this work offers insight into the evolution of food image processing,tracing its development from traditional methods extracting low and intermediate-level features to advanced deep learning techniques for high-level feature extraction,along with some synergistic fusion of these *** is believed that these methods will play a significant role in practical application scenarios such as self-checkout systems,dietary health management,intelligent food service,disease etiology tracing,chronic disease management,and food safety ***,due to the complex content and various types of distortions in food images,further improvements in related methods are needed to meet the requirements of practical applications in the *** is believed that this study can help researchers to further understand the research in the field of food imaging and provide some contribution to the advancement of research in this field.

In this paper, a novel error concealment (EC) method for compressed stereoscopic image pairs is presented, which contains a new binocular EC mode and an improved monocular EC mode. The proposed algorithm selects appropriate EC mode to conceal the error block (EB) in the stereoscopic image according to the local characteristic of the EB. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed scheme has good subjective and objective EC performance in stereoscopic images as compared to monocular mode.

Compressive sensing (CS) is a new technique for data sampling and compression simultaneously. In this paper, we propose a novel distributed video coding algorithm with dynamic measurement rate allocation based on compressive sensing principles, where almost all computation burdens can be shifted to the decoder, resulting in a very low-complexity encoder. So the proposed algorithm can be useful in those video applications that require very low complex encoders. At the decoder, the compressed video can be efficiently reconstructed with adaptive dictionary learning. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm outperforms the distributed compressive video sensing with non-adaptive learning local dictionary and global dictionary.
