Siamese-based trackers currently are the dominant tracking paradigm due to the balance between speed and performance. However, it is prone to drift and tracking failure when the environment is complex and similar objects interfere. While the Siamese-based trackers perform the correlation operation, the responses of the target object and background appear in different channels, i.e., the feature spaces of the target object and background have some orthogonality. However, when meeting background clutters and similar objects interfere, this orthogonality becomes weaker and the wrong classification contribution of the object and the background reduces the stability of the learned similarity function, leading to many misclassified pixels in the heatmaps. In this work, we proposed a SiamORPN to solve the above issues. It is incorporated at two levels: an Orthogonal Region Proposal Network (ORPN) and an Adaptive Pixel-wise Aggregation (APA) module. Specifically, for ORPN, the orthogonality between the object and the background maximizes the inter-class inertia. Moreover, the ORPN introduces the orthogonal module to enhance this orthogonality. For APA, it introduces two lightweight networks to predict the weights of all pixels in different heatmaps and the weights of all pixels in different regression offsets. Experiments on challenging benchmarks, including OTB2015, VOT2016, VOT2018, GOT-10k test set, UAV123, LaSOT, and TrackingNet, demonstrate the proposed SiamORPN outperforms many SOTA trackers and achieves leading performance. The inference speed at GTX1080Ti can reach about 32 FPS, meeting the real-time requirements.

Optimization in noisy environments is regard as a favorite application domains of genetic algorithms. Different methods for reducing the influence of noise are presented and discussed. A new fitness evaluation method is proposed that reevaluates all survival individuals each generation. Compared with re-sampling and population sizing, the new evaluation approach shows higher probability of searching to the global extremum area and precision of convergence. These results demonstrate that the proposed method is effective for reducing noise effects.

According to the unique characteristics of terahertz (THz) waves, THz imaging has become a hot topic in widely application areas. However, the imaging resolution is constrained by its long wavelength. Generally, the deconvolution is always used to reconstruct the object function. In this paper, a method that combining the classic deconvolution algorithm with the complex-value data processing is investigated. It is posed that the proposed complex-number deconvolution achieves better performance compared to the real-valued deconvolution. © 2019 IEEE.

At present, With the development of technology, the high resolution of millimeter wave (terahertz) can be applied to environmental sensing imaging. In this paper, Using the frequency-modulated continuous-wave (FMCW) radar technique with a 1GHz bandwidth, we show experimentally that a high-resolution real time imaging radar operating at 93.5-94.5GHz is capable of detecting different car models at standoff ranges of 12 m. We also achieved 3D high-resolution imaging of the building. at 140 meters. © 2019 IEEE.

Deep learning methods have achieved excellent performances on visual tasks of target recognition and classification. The rapid development of autonomous seafaring vessels comes up with the requirement to recognize other maritime ships day and night. However, the recognition of ships based on the deep neural networks may not always access the results as expectation when the ships are under the nighttime environment. To this issue, we consider the ship recognition task under the deep learning framework with paired visible images and infrared images. In this article, we propose an end-to-end convolutional network based on visible images and infrared images of the autonomous seafaring vessels. To demonstrate the effectiveness of our model, we choose the V AIS dataset to test the performance of classifying the maritime ships. Experimental results show that the proposed network outperforms the state-of-the-art methods based on the V AIS database. © 2023 IEEE.

Solid oxide fuel cell is a device that can convert chemical energy directly into electricity. Its advantages, such as high efficiency, low emission, quiet operation, fuel flexibility, bring about the broad application prospect. However, it is difficult to obtain the temperature distribution in the existing planar cross flow solid oxide fuel cell through the experiment. In this paper, a control orient two-dimensional differential equation model is established for a planar cross flow solid oxide fuel cell based on the finite node method, and an iterative algorithm for calculating the real time voltage of the fuel cell is proposed for the model. Based on the model, the temperature distribution of the fuel cell in the test and system configuration is simulated. The simulation results show that the model can reflect the thermoelectric characteristics of the planar cross flow solid oxide fuel cell, especially the temperature distribution of the fuel cell. The SOFC temperature distribution modeling in this paper is helpful for the development of temperature distribution observers and design related control methods in later studies.

In order to more accurately predict the impact of solid oxide fuel cells to stack life on standby and shutdown, this paper proposes a modeling method based on experimental data. Which is based on Elman neural network(NN). At the same time, a main factor is considered in the modeling process which is the effect of cooling rate on the stack. In the process of modeling, the most obvious cooling rate is used to modeling. There are two different influencing factors on classify, the training set and the verification set respectively. After the reliability of the model, the Solid Oxide Fuel cell (SOFC) stack life prediction is carried out. From the predict results and the experimental results, it is found that the prediction results are good and the high precision.

The traditional airport detection methods usually utilize geometric characteristics, which are limited by large amount of data and low-resolution of the remote sensing images. In this paper, we present a novel hierarchical reinforcement learning (HRL) saliency model for quickly airports detecting in large cover area. In contrast with conventional saliency models which usually are effective for high-resolution nature images, our method learns hierarchically high-level features via multi-scale superpixels segmentation and Least Absolute Shrinkage and Selection Operator (LASSO). More importantly, we introduce back-propagation theory for hierarchical learning to adaptively control and generate saliency map. Therefore our unsupervised saliency model is more simple and effective for low-resolution airport detection. Compared with 18 state-of-the-art saliency models, experimental results demonstrate the excellent performance of our method on the remote sensing image datasets. It is more robust and accurate for long-range airports detection.

Aurora spectral image lossless compression has seen significant advancements in recent years. However, most compression algorithms are based on traditional image compression techniques, focusing solely on spectral and spatial correlations without considering temporal correlations. To further enhance compression performance, this paper proposes a Transformer-based point-by-point prediction algorithm for auroral spectral images, which simultaneously uses spatial, spectral and temporal contexts for prediction. Our prediction network consists of two parts: an encoder and a decoder. The encoder is composed of the encoding unit of the original Transformer and is used to extract features from spatial, spectral and temporal contexts. The decoder consists of fully connected layers and is used for prediction. Experimental results show that the average bitrate of this method is reduced by 0.179 bpp compared with the JPEG2000 algorithm, and the average bitrate is reduced by 0.054 bpp compared with the online DPCM algorithm.
