Error concealment methods on the stereoscopic video coding are mainly studied in cases of chess board type MB loss and/or continuous slice loss, and are less concerned for entire frame loss. In this paper, a novel error concealment scheme is proposed, dealing with the loss of an entire video frame in the right view sequence of a stereoscopic video. By the analysis of inter-view coding correlation, the MB partition mode, prediction mode, and the reference frame as well, can be determined, and then concealed under the MotionSkip mode. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme well exploits the inter-view correlation and PSNR of the restored frame can be improved by 0.12-1.87dB compared to the frame copy algorithm. © 2011 IEEE.

In this paper, the design of a high-precision WebGIS system for island application is presented. The system is developed based on Cesium to support 2D, 2.5D and 3D map capabilities, and provide networked comprehensive geographic information service. Concerning the practical requirements for complicated configuration of island surface, improved methods for interpolation correction, data structure optimization, visible analysis and island path planning are introduced to improve system accuracy and performance. The system adopts B/S architecture and modular development ideas for easier access and further updates. The main functional modules of the island WebGIS provide basic operations, including multidimensional scene browsing, base map switching, multi-control operation, layer plotting, contour line, intervisibility and terrain factors measurement. Besides, the characteristic functions of key techniques such as profile analysis, viewshed analysis, and island path planning are implemented. The test examples show that the overall functional performance of the system is satisfactory for island 3D GIS service.. © 2021 Association for Computing Machinery. All rights reserved.

With the development of mobile network and communication technology, traditional supply chain management is gradually updating to mobile supply chain management, and multi-agent technology has been considered as a very efficient method for supply chain management in mobile environment. After considering the characteristics and limitations of mobile supply chain, and according to the requirements in the manufacturing domain, this paper designs a multi-agent middleware for mobile supply chain management, aiming to solve integration problems and shield off network and terminal heterogeneity in mobile environment, which can achieve mobile supply chain dynamic integration and then improve the efficiency of supply chain management. Its feasibility and efficiency was demonstrated by experiments. © 2011 ACADEMY PUBLISHER.

FastICA is a kind of independent component analysis (ICA), which is robust and high performance algorithm, it can strongly remove signal correlation and ensure each signal to be independence. Through perceptual test, improving that RASTA is an idea which can denoise effectively. First, we remove signal correlation through FastICA algorithm, then we use RASTA filter to filtering the ceptral coefficients. Finally, we reduce dimension of the cepstral coefficients by the variances of cepstral coefficients in different dimension and obtain our features. By the HTK3.3, the speech feature extraction which was presented in this paper show the better robust in recognition experiment. © 2011 ACADEMY PUBLISHER.

According to the distribution characteristic of noise and clean speech signal in the frequency domain, a new speech enhancement method based on teager energy operator (TEO) and perceptual wavelet packet decomposition (PWPD) is proposed. Firstly, a modified Mask construction method is made to protect the acoustic cues at the low frequencies. Then a level-dependent parameter is introduced to further adjust the thresholds in light of the noise distribution feature. At last the sub-bands which have very little influence are set directly 0 to improve the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and reduce the computation load. Simulation results show that, under different kinds of noise environments, this new method not only enhances the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and perceptual evaluation of speech quality (PESQ), but also reduces the computation load, which is very advantageous for real-time realizing. © 2011 ACADEMY PUBLISHER.

Super-resolution (SR) reconstruction technique is mainly a task of reconstructing high resolution images from a sequence of low resolution images. The super-resolution technique for H.264 compressed video has been focused by many researchers recently. This paper briefly analyzes the narrow quantization constraint set method (NQCS), and then, in consideration of motion characteristic information of H.264 compressed video, proposes a new SR reconstruction method which combines NQCS with motion characteristic information, which are spatial domain motion estimation and frequency domain motion noise respectively. Experimental results of different standard test sequences compressed by H.264 are given. The simulation shows that both the NQCS+Mnoise method which combines NQCS with frequency domain motion noise, and the NQCS+M method which combines NQCS with spatial domain motion estimation, can get higher PNSR value than NQCS. Moreover, the NQCS+M method has better performance than NQCS+Mnoise method, and our proposed method is suitable for the SR reconstruction of H.264 compressed video. © 2011 IEEE.

Virtual view rendering has great importance in 3-D display. In order to get high-quality image of an arbitrary view from 2-D source image, improvement on depth-image based rendering (DIBR) is studied in this paper. By analyzing the process of virtual view rendering of DIBR, an improved method is proposed, which generates new view by modifying parallax of two views and incorporating image inpainting. The parallax is deduced from depth information, and modified afterwards according to parallax gradient, so as to reduce hole regions before generating new view by 3-D image warping. To further remove the remaining holes, image inpainting combining texture and depth information is incorporated. Experimental results show the superiority of the proposed method. © 2011 IEEE.

With the development of economy and society, people become more fluid, and in the meanwhile there is increasing demand for medical service in mobile environment. Especially when an outdoor accident or Paroxysmal disease happens, the earliest and most effective rescue is offered not by the medical staffs, but by people themselves. At that moment, if the first-aid instruction can be provided by medical experts in time, casualties are expected to be minimized. In combination with 3G communication network, streaming media technology, E-expert system as well as the knowledge about medical diagnostics and emergent treatment, this paper explored a mobile self-rescue system for medical emergency. This system can connect the doctors and patients who are physically separated, and thus help the patients realize self-rescue through the 3G-based mobile communications at anytime and anywhere. © 2011 ACADEMY PUBLISHER.

Nonparametric model is one of the popular ones for background modeling for its ability to adapt to changes quickly in dynamic environment and enable very sensitive detection of moving objects. However, the method is too complex and computationally inefficient to real-time application. In this paper, a fast and efficient scheme for moving object detection by nonparametric background modeling was proposed, whereas the background was modeled combining clustering theory to eliminate the large amount of redundant information and noise pixels in background modeling stage. Moreover, adaptive background and temporal differencing was used to filter out unchanged background pixels, thus enabling an additional reduction in computational requirements and improving the detection results. Besides, RGB color components were substituted by chromaticity coordinates to suppress shadow effects. Experimental results demonstrated the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. © 2014 WIT Press.

For effective and efficient detection of moving objects from complex surveillance scenarios, a novel integrated object detection scheme based on clustering and Bayesian theory is proposed in this paper. The algorithm conducts clustering analysis in the time domain as the pre-segmentation step for later Bayesian judgment processing. Furthermore, temporal differential image was used to classify dynamical and static pixels, which were then used to direct the Bayesian judgment with proper models. The clustering processing reduced the number of the mixture models, which in turn, reduced the computational complexity while ensuring accurate moving object detection. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme well exploited the temporal correlation of the video sequences and the accuracy of the detected objects can be improved by nearly 20% compared to the typical Gaussian mixture modeling algorithm. © 2014 WIT Press.
