Wideband signal recognition is a crucial task in the cognitive wireless communication, involving accurate classification of different signal types, modulation types, center frequencies, etc. However, most conventional approaches treat the recognition of different parameters as multiple independent tasks, and often face performance bottlenecks due to the complexity and diversity of wideband signals. To overcome these challenges, we propose a multi-task learning (MTL) network that integrates multiple tasks of signal recognition into an end-to-end model to accomplish spectrum sensing, modulation recognition, and signal classification simultaneously. By employing a shared feature extraction network and a multi-task classification header, the proposed framework effectively captures the correlations and shared information among different tasks, thereby enhancing overall recognition performance. To validate the effectiveness of the proposed scheme, we compare its performance with other state-of-the-art recognition and classification networks. Experimental results demonstrate the significant performance of the proposed MTL network in spectrum sensing, modulation recognition, and signal classification tasks. © 2024 IEEE.

3D medical image segmentation is an essential task in the medical image field, which aims to segment organs or tumours into different labels. A number of issues exist with the current 3D medical image segmentation task: existing models cannot simultaneously obtain the space correlation and depth correlation of 3D slices;previous models suffer from local detail loss of positional embedding in 3D images;previous approaches often have blurring of boundaries in segmenting 3D images. To solve these shortcomings, we propose a 3D medical image segmentation model named TPM-SAM. In our model, we design a twinchannel image encoder to simultaneously capture the space correlation and depth correlation of 3D slices through a multi-head attention mechanism and improved adapters. Furthermore, we design a prompt encoding generator, which divides the volumetric image into small blocks and better captures the local detail information. In addition, we introduce a multi-layer aggregation decoder by employing U-Net with multi-level skip connection to solve the blurring of boundaries in processing 3D images. Finally, we experimented and evaluated our model on KiTS21 and LiTS17 datasets to compare with other baseline models. © 2024 IEEE.

Pedestrian trajectory prediction plays a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of various applications, including autonomous vehicles and traffic management systems. This paper proposes a novel method for pedestrian trajectory prediction, called multi-stage goal-driven network (MGNet). Diverging from prior approaches relying on stepwise recursive prediction and the singular forecasting of a long-term goal, MGNet directs trajectory generation by forecasting intermediate stage goals, thereby reducing prediction errors. The network comprises three main components: a conditional variational autoencoder (CVAE), an attention module, and a multi-stage goal evaluator. Trajectories are encoded using conditional variational autoencoders to acquire knowledge about the approximate distribution of pedestrians' future trajectories, and combined with an attention mechanism to capture the temporal dependency between trajectory sequences. The pivotal module is the multi-stage goal evaluator, which utilizes the encoded feature vectors to predict intermediate goals, effectively minimizing cumulative errors in the recursive inference process. The effectiveness of MGNet is demonstrated through comprehensive experiments on the JAAD and PIE datasets. Comparative evaluations against state-of-the-art algorithms reveal significant performance improvements achieved by our proposed method. © 2024 IEEE.

Distracted driving behaviour recognition based on transfer learning and model fusion

In the recognition of distracted driving behaviour, traditional manual feature extraction is subjective and complex;single deep convolutional network also has problems such as insufficient generalisation performance and stability. To solve the above problems, this paper proposes a distracted driving behaviour recognition method based on transfer learning and model fusion. First, based on the transfer learning method, the deep convolutional neural network models ResNet18 and ResNet34 are used to extract the features of some images, respectively. Furthermore, the pre-trained model is fine-tuned to obtain four deep convolutional neural network models. Finally, the four network models are fused by stacking method, using 5-fold cross-validation method to reduce over-fitting. Experimental results show that the recognition accuracy of distracted driving behaviour after model fusion reaches 95.47%. The fusion model has higher model generalisation performance and recognition accuracy, which can provide certain technical support for the research of distracted driving behaviour recognition. © 2023 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.

Video object segmentation aims to extract 2D object masks by segmenting video frames into multiple objects, which is crucial in various practical applications such as medical imaging, etc.. However, traditional video object segmentation methods produce 2D masks, which are not suitable for 3D scenarios where depth information is essential, such as in robotic grasping, virtual reality, and autonomous driving, etc.. In this paper, we present a comprehensive review of 3D human mesh reconstruction (HMR) as an extension beyond 2D video object segmentation. We begin by reviewing the mainstream video object segmentation methods, then transition from 2D video object segmentation to 3D HMR. We further categorize recent HMR methods based on key characteristics that define this research field, including the type of model input and the use of statistical models. Now object detection based on deep learning tries different *** uses fewer data training networks to achieve the effect of large dataset ***,the existing methods usually do not achieve the balance between network parameters and training *** makes the information provided by a small amount of picture data insufficient to optimize model parameters,resulting in unsatisfactory detection *** improve the accuracy of few shot object detection,this paper proposes a network based on the transformer and high-resolution feature extraction(THR).High-resolution feature extractionmaintains the resolution representation of the *** and spatial attention are used to make the network focus on features that are more useful to the *** addition,the recently popular transformer is used to fuse the features of the existing *** compensates for the previous network failure by making full use of existing object *** on the Pascal VOC and MS-COCO datasets prove that the THR network has achieved better results than previous mainstream few shot object detection.

Offline Reinforcement Learning (RL) commonly suffers from the out-of-distribution (OOD) overestimation issue due to the distribution shift. Prior work gradually shifts their focus from suppressing OOD overestimation to avoiding overly conservative learning from suboptimal behavior policies to improve generalization. However, most approaches explicitly delimit boundaries for OOD actions based on the support in the dataset, which can potentially impede the data near these boundaries from acquiring realistic estimates. This paper investigates how to loosen the rigid demarcation of OOD boundaries, adaptively extracting knowledge from empirical data to implicitly improve the model's generalization to nearby unseen data. We introduce an adversarial data splitting (ADS) framework that enforces the model to generalize the distribution shifts simulated from the train/validation subsets splitting of the dataset. Specifically, ADS is modeled as a min-max optimization problem inspired by meta-learning and solved by iterating over the following two steps. First, we train the model on the train-subset to minimize its loss on the validation-subset. Then, we adversarially generate the "hardest" train/validation subsets with the maximum distribution shift, making the model incapable of generalization at that splitting. We derive a generalization error bound for theoretically understanding ADS and verify the effectiveness with extensive experiments. Code is available at https://***/DkING-lv6/ADS. Recently,Siamese-based trackers have achieved excellent performance in object ***,the high speed and deformation of objects in the movement process make tracking ***,we have incorporated cascaded region-proposal-network(RPN)fusion and coordinate attention into Siamese *** proposed network framework consists of three parts:a feature-extraction sub-network,coordinate attention block,and cascaded RPN *** exploit the coordinate attention block,which can embed location information into channel attention,to establish long-term spatial location dependence while maintaining channel ***,the features of different layers are enhanced by the coordinate attention *** then send these features separately into the cascaded RPN for classification and *** to the two classification and regression results,the final position of the target is *** verify the effectiveness of the proposed method,we conducted comprehensive experiments on the OTB100,VOT2016,UAV123,and GOT-10k *** with other state-of-the-art trackers,the proposed tracker achieved good performance and can run at real-time speed.

Linear Subspace Surrogate Modeling for Large-Scale Expensive Single/Multi-Objective Optimization

Despite that the surrogate-assisted evolutionary algorithms have achieved great success in addressing expensive optimization problems, they still suffer from stiff challenges when the number of dimensions of problems becomes large. The primary reason lies in that it is very hard to build an acceptable surrogate model in the high-dimensional search space with small amounts of evaluated historical data in evolution. To tackle this issue, we suggest an effective surrogate modeling method for large-scale expensive optimization in this paper, where the models are built on a number of linear subspaces instead of the original search space. Specifically, a linear subspace is constructed by a pair of points/solutions which are generated based on the set of elite solutions. For each linear subspace, several historical solutions are first associated according to their distance to the linear subspace, and then a surrogate model is trained by the associated solutions and used to evaluate the offspring. To ensure the exploration and exploitation capacity of the proposed method, these linear subspaces and the surrogate models are updated after a few iterations. Experimental results on CEC’2010 and CEC’2013 single-objective optimization problems with up to 1500 decision variables show that the proposed algorithm is superior over six comparison algorithms. Moreover, we also extend the proposed algorithm to multi-objective optimization problems and verified its competitiveness on problems with up to 1500 decision variables. IEEE
