In recent years, cloud computing has emerged as an enabling technology, in which virtual machine migration and dynamic resource allocation is one of the hot issues. During the migration of virtual machine, access requests from end users coming constantly. So how to schedule these requests to ensure the performance of cloud storage system is the key issue. In this paper, we focus on scheduling access requests to provide end users desirable data when virtual data nodes are migrating. In this process, we interested in the following performance in the system: the availability of data, energy consumption and cost. The contributions of this paper are: 1) analyze the open issues of scheduling in cloud storage;2) present the environment of scheduling access requests in cloud storage and discuss metrics which affect the scheduler;3) define the formal concepts about this problem and give the main steps of scheduling algorithm. The main innovation of this paper is fully taken into account data node's mobility in cloud storage. So we could establish the connection between resource availability and system availability. The results of this paper can be used in scheduling and resource management in cloud storage system to provide the mass storage of streaming media in cloud and its continuous access. © 2013 IEEE.

Quadrotor is a type of rotor craft that consists of four rotors and two pairs of counter-rotating, fixed-pitch blades located at the four corners of the body. The flight control parameters optimization is one of the key issues for quadrotor. Estimation of distribution algorithm is a new kind of evolutionary algorithm developed rapidly recently. However, low convergence speed and local optimum of the EDA are the main disadvantages that limit its further application. To overcome the disadvantages of EDA, a chaotic estimation of distribution algorithm is proposed in this paper. It is a combination of chaos theory and principles of estimation of distribution algorithm. Series of experimental comparison results are presented to show the feasibility, effectiveness and robustness of our proposed method. The results show that the proposed chaotic EDA can effectively improve both the global searching ability and the speed of convergence. © 2013 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.

Independent spanning trees(ISTs) have increasing applications in fault-tolerance, reliable communication protocols and secure message distribution. In this paper, we propose an O(N) parallel algorithm to construct n BISTs rooted at any vertex on n-dimensional twisted cube, where BISTs denote the ISTs isomorphic to binomial-like tree and N =2 n .

Recently the camera array synthetic aperture imaging has been proved to be a powerful technology for occluded object imaging. However, synthetic aperture imaging with a camera mounted on a moving platform is still a significant challenging task for many computer vision applications. This paper presents a novel unstructured synthetic aperture imaging approach to solve the above problem. The main characteristics of our approach include: (1) To the best of our knowledge, our proposed method is the first one for synthetic aperture imaging through occlusion on a moving platform. (2) In contrast to 'averaging data', we creatively use the clustering method to estimate the pixel color with high visible probability in the virtual focal plane. A new moving synthetic aperture imaging system has been built to capture unstructured light field in complex outdoor scene, and experimental results demonstrate that our approach successfully generates clear image of hidden object even under severe occlusion, which outperform the traditional synthetic aperture imaging method. © 2013 IEEE.

Traffic congestion has become a serious social problem. One way to ease traffic congestion is traffic volume forecasting, which is helpful to support decision-making for management or provide better route selection for passengers. Nowadays, the historical traffic flow data are used as the original input data for predictor training in forecasting and proves helpful for forecasting. However, other non-historical factors, such as weather condition and holidays, can also influence traffic volume and are often ignored in recent forecasting researches. This paper applied a Multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) for analyzing the relation between traffic volume and the unhistorical factors. The experiments are carried out on the data collected from a section of a national road, which show that weather conditions and holidays are helpful for traffic forecasting. © 2013 American Society of Civil Engineers.

Traditional information hiding algorithms cannot maintain a good balance of capacity,invisibility and *** this paper,a novel blind colour image information hiding algorithm based on grey prediction and grey relational analysis in the Discrete Cosine Transform(DCT) domain is ***,this algorithm compresses the secret image losslessly based on the improved grey prediction GM(1,1)(IGM) *** then chooses the blocks of rich texture in the cover image as the embedding regions using Double-dimension Grey Relational Analysis(DGRA).Finally,it adaptively embeds the compressed secret bits stream into the DCT domain mid-frequency coefficients,which are decided by those blocks' Double-Dimension Grey Correlation Degree(DGCD) and Human Visual System(HVS).This method can ensure an adequate balance between invisibility,capacity and *** results show that the proposed algorithm is robust against JPEG compression(46.724 6 dB when the compression quality factor is 90%),Gaussian noise(45.531 3 dB when the parameter is(0,0.000 5)) etc.,and it is a blind information hiding algorithm that can be extracted without an original carrier.

When hierarchical phrase-based statistical machine translation systems are used for language translation, sometimes the translations' content words were lost: source-side content words is empty when translated into target texts during decoding. Although the translations' BLEU score is very high, it is difficult to understand the translations because of the loss of the content words. In this paper, we propose a basic and efficient method for phrase filtering, with which the phrase' content words translation are checked to decide whether to use the phrase in decoding or not. The experimental results show that the proposed method alleviates the problem of the loss content words' and improves the BLEU scores. © 2013 Springer-Verlag.

Negative and uncertain expressions widely exist in natural language. Negation and uncertainty identification has become an important task in computational linguistics community. Lacking of corpus hinders the development of Chinese negation and uncertainty identification. This paper reports on a corpus annotation project for Chinese negation and uncertainty identification on scientific literature. We introduce several important aspects during our annotation, such as selection of raw text, framework of annotation, guidelines, data consistency and statistic data summarized from corpus. In this corpus, we annotate negation and uncertainty cues and their corresponding scopes. Statistic for corpus shows that there are a certain proportion of negative and uncertain expressions in Chinese scientific literature. Accordingly, this corpus is able to support the research of Chinese negation and uncertainty identification in the future. © 2013 Springer-Verlag.

In this paper, we propose a bilingual lexical cohesion trigger model to capture lexical cohesion for document-level machine translation. We integrate the model into hierarchical phrase-based machine translation and achieve an absolute improvement of 0.85 BLEU points on average over the baseline on NIST Chinese-English test sets. © 2013 Association for Computational Linguistics.
