To address the increasing need for detecting and validating protein biomarkers in clinical specimens,mass spectrometry(MS)-based targeted proteomic techniques,including the selected reaction monitoring(SRM),parallel reaction monitoring(PRM),and massively parallel dataindependent acquisition(DIA),have been *** optimal performance,they require the fragment ion spectra of targeted peptides as prior *** this report,we describe a MS pipeline and spectral resource to support targeted proteomics studies for human tissue *** build the spectral resource,we integrated common open-source MS computational tools to assemble a freely accessible computational workflow based on *** then applied the workflow to generate DPHL,a comprehensive DIA pan-human library,from 1096 data-dependent acquisition(DDA)MS raw files for 16 types of cancer *** extensive spectral resource was then applied to a proteomic study of 17 prostate cancer(PCa)***,PRM validation was applied to a larger study of 57 PCa patients and the differential expression of three proteins in prostate tumor was *** a second application,the DPHL spectral resource was applied to a study consisting of plasma samples from 19 diffuse large B cell lymphoma(DLBCL)patients and 18 healthy control *** expressed proteins between DLBCL patients and healthy control subjects were detected by DIA-MS and confirmed by *** data demonstrate that the DPHL supports DIA and PRM MS pipelines for robust protein biomarker *** is freely accessible at https://***/page/***?id=IPX0001400000.

—By taking full advantage of Computing, Communication and Caching (3C) resources at the network edge, Mobile Edge Computing (MEC) is envisioned as one of the key enablers for the next generation network and services. However, current fixed-location MEC architecture may not be able to make real-time decision in dynamic environment, especially in large-scale scenarios. To address this issue, in this paper, a Heterogeneous MEC (H-MEC) architecture is proposed, which is composed of fixed unit, i.e., Ground Stations (GSs) as well as moving nodes, i.e., Ground Vehicles (GVs) and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), all with 3C resource enabled. The key challenges in H-MEC, e.g., mobile edge node management, real-time decision making, user association and resource allocation along with the possible Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based solutions are discussed in this paper. In addition, an AI-based joint Resource schEduling (ARE) framework is proposed, with simulation results shown to verify the efficiency of our proposed framework. Copyright © 2020, The Authors. Speech content is often faced with malicious forgery and tampering in transit. Therefore, we introduce a novel fragile watermarking algorithm by modifying the least significant digits for speech content authentication and tampering recovery. In this letter, the proposed authentication scheme consists of two processes: the first one is watermark generation and embedding, the second one is content authentication and recovery. In the former process, the compressed speech signal, frame number and check information are generated based on speech content to form a watermark. Subsequently, the generated watermark is embedded into the least significant digits of speech sampling points using the proposed watermarking algorithm. In the latter process, the embedded watermark is utilized to locate the tampered area and recover that tampered content synchronously. Experimental results show that the proposed watermarking algorithm is fragile to common signal processing. Additionally, it has favorable inaudibility, accurate location ability and high recovery quality.

In cognitive radio networks (CRNs), secondary users need to first discover neighbours and form communication links, referred to as the rendezvous process. Rendezvous between any two secondary users can only be achieved on the same channel. However, the nature of the CRN makes this a challenging problem. Specifically in CRN, not only the network is multi- channel, but the channels available at different nodes may be different. While most of the existing works study pair-wise rendezvous and design channel hopping sequence, in this paper, we focus on the performance improvement of the rendezvous process based on the existing channel hopping sequences with multiple users in CRN. We propose a new strategy, called Group Based Strategy (GBS) to achieve the acceleration, which is flexible to incorporate the existing sequence generation algorithms. Our basic idea is to group the encountered users and schedule rendezvous for them. With the purpose to increase rendezvous diversity, other users or groups can join the group if they get the group rendezvous information. Experiments are conducted to evaluate the proposed scheme. Overall, the performance can be improved by more than 50% under symmetric model or asymmetric model using our accelerating strategy.

With the development of information technology, many colleges and universities have established student information management system. The long-term operation of the student information management system will generate big data for colleges and universities. Moreover, there exists valuable information in the huge amount of data. Hence, it is necessary to use the data mining method to mine the massive data and get some valuable reference information so as to improve the teaching and management of students. In this paper, the Apriori algorithm is used to mine association rules of 34 courses of 100 students majoring in computer science and technology, so as to find out the correlation between courses and the factors that lead to the high or low grades of courses. R is used to conduct the experiment to discover the association rules, and the association rules are analyzed and discussed. The results of data mining on students' achievements in this work are expected to provide a reference for improving the teaching quality of computer science and technology courses.

With the rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) in medical image processing, deep learning in color fundus photography (CFP) analysis is also evolving. Although there are some open-source, labeled datasets of CFPs in the ophthalmology community, large-scale datasets for screening only have labels of disease categories, and datasets with annotations of fundus structures are usually small in size. In addition, labeling standards are not uniform across datasets, and there is no clear information on the acquisition device. Here we release a multi-annotation, multi-quality, and multi-device color fundus image dataset for glaucoma analysis on an original challenge-Retinal Fundus Glaucoma Challenge 2nd Edition (REFUGE2). The REFUGE2 dataset contains 2000 color fundus images with annotations of glaucoma classification, optic disc/cup segmentation, as well as fovea localization. Meanwhile, the REFUGE2 challenge sets three sub-tasks of automatic glaucoma diagnosis and fundus structure analysis and provides an online evaluation framework. Based on the characteristics of multi-device and multi-quality data, some methods with strong generalizations are provided in the challenge to make the predictions more robust. This shows that REFUGE2 brings attention to the characteristics of real-world multi-domain data, bridging the gap between scientific research and clinical application. © 2022, CC BY-NC-ND.

MVSCCPO is a mean-variance-skewness portfolio optimization problem with cardinality constraint. It increases the skewness as the third objective, and introduces cardinality constraint to reduce the difficulty of asset management. A customized NSGA-III(c-NSGA-III) algorithm is proposed for the problem. It introduces an effective solution representation mechanism, customized crossover and mutation operators, a tournament selection based on membership is introduced in the mating selection phase instead of the original random selection method. Finally, an empirical analysis is carried out to verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm by comparing with NSGA-II and MOEA/D. The results show that c-NSGA-III performs better than other algorithms on solving MVSCCPO problem.

Extracting minimal functional dependencies (MFDs) from relational databases is an import database analysis technique. With the advent of big data era, it is challenging to discover MFDs from big data, especially large-scale distributed data stored in many different sites. The key to discovering MFDs as fast as possible is pruning the useless candidate MFDs. And in most existed algorithms, it usually prunes candidate MFDs from top to bottom or from bottom to top. We present a new algorithms FastMFDs for discovering all MFDs from large-scale distributed data both from top to bottom and from bottom to top in parallel. We experimented our algorithm in real-life datasets, and our algorithm is more efficient and faster than the existed discovering algorithms.

This study addresses the problem of Chinese microblog opinion retrieval, which aims to retrieve opinionated Chinese microblog posts relevant to a target specified by a user query. Existing studies have shown that lexicon-based approaches employed online public sentiment resources to rank sentiment words relying on the document features. However, this approach could not be effectively applied to mi- croblogs that have typical user-generated content with valu- able contextual information：＂user-user＂ interpersonal interactions and ＂user-post/comment＂ intrapersonal interactions. This contextual information is very helpful in estimating the strength of sentiment words more accurately. In this study, we integrate the social contextual relationships among users, posts/comments, and sentiment words into a mutual reinforcement model and propose a unified three-layer heterogeneous graph, on which a random walk sentiment word weighting algorithm is presented to measure the strength of opinion of the sentiment words. Furthermore, the weights of sentiment words are incorporated into a lexicon-based model for Chinese microblog opinion retrieval. Comparative experiments are conducted on a Chinese microblog corpus, and the results show that our proposed mutual reinforcement model achieves significant improvement over previous methods.
