Preparation, characterization and properties of ZnO nanomaterials

In this paper, using the hydrothermal synthesis method, NaOH, Zn(NO3)2, anhydrous ethanol, deionized water as raw material to prepare ZnO nanomaterial, and by X ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and photoluminescence spectroscopy (PL) on the synthesis of nano materials, surface morphology and phase luminescence characterization. The results show that the nano materials synthesized for single-phase ZnO, belonging to the six wurtzite structure; material surface shaped, arranged evenly distributed, and were the top six party structure; ZnO nano materials synthesized with strong emission spectra, emission peak is located at 394nm.

A hierarchical object-based method for suburban road extraction from remote sensing image

Road extraction from remote sensing image is a very popular topic. There are many methods dealing with this problem, but few of them focus on suburban roads. This paper presents a hierarchical object-based method for suburban road extraction. First, the image is preprocessed by the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) and the Hue-Saturation-Intensity (HSI) Index. Vegetation regions, shadows and water areas are then removed. Second, texture features are applied to classifying the preprocessed image into two categories: road and non-road. Homogeneous property is combined to remove false classification so as to generate initial road skeleton. Third, the road skeleton is refined by using a series of morphology operations and shape features. Fourth, the curvilinear feature of road skeleton is detected by a set of multiple filtering detectors. Finally, a regression method is performed to extract smooth and accurate road centerlines. The experimental results indicate that the proposed method is suitable for suburban road extraction. © 2016 ISSN 2185-2766.

An integrated method for road centerline extraction has been proposed in this paper which consists of four main steps. First, the Graph Cut algorithm using proposed similarity function is employed to segment the image, and the segmented image is thresholded to initial binary skeleton. Second, the road skeleton is refined by using a series of morphology operations and shape features. Third, the curvilinear feature of road skeleton is detected by a set of multiple filtering detectors. Finally,a regression method is performed to extract smooth and accurate road centerlines. Validation tests show that the proposed method is able to achieve a comparatively good performance in road centerline extraction from high spatial resolution satellite images. © 2016, Ubiquitous International. Stock investment is one of the available conventional financial commodities in the investment market. The individual price of stocks including stocks in the field of industrial, medical, financial, overall, etc. Is subject to many different aspects. The relationship between aspects, the international economy, and the stock price is complex and is not easy to be categorized. Moreover, the trend of the world increases the cooperation and links between countries and different nations. Many agreements in tourism, trade, etc. Are signed between countries. In this paper, we focus on the effect on the stock prices caused by the agreements signed between Taiwan and other countries. The time series method is utilized to analyze the effect on the stock price forecasting caused by 5 of the incidents including WTO, Taiwan-Nicaragua FTA, Taiwan-Honduras FTA, and Taiwan-Japan BIA. Both the pre-event and the post-event periods are included for observing the fluctuation behavior of the stock market price. The MAPE value is used as the criterion to verify the correctness of the forecasting result. The MAPE values obtained in all experiments are all less than 10%. It implies that the time series method presents good forecasting ability in the analyzed cases.

In neighborhood rough set model, the majority rule based neighborhood classifier (NC) is easy to be misjudged with the increasing of the size of information granules. To remedy this deficiency, we propose a neighborhood collaborative classifier (NCC) based on the idea of collaborative representation based classification (CRC). NCC first performs feature selection with neighborhood rough set, and then instead of solving the classification problem by the majority rule, NCC solves a similar problem with collaborative representation among the neighbors of each unseen sample. Experiments on UCI data sets demonstrate that: 1) Our NCC achieves satisfactory performance in larger neighborhood information granules when compared with NC; 2) NCC reduces the size of dictionary when compared with CRC.

Optimizing multiple ontology alignments through hybrid evolutionary algorithm based on a new elitist strategy

In this paper, we propose a hybrid evolutionary algorithm based on a new elitist strategy to address the problem of optimizing the multiple ontology alignments simultaneously. Comparing with the conventional approach, our method is able to deal with multiple pair of ontologies at a time, and through a new elitist strategy, avoid the bias improvement caused by f-measure. Experimental results show that our approach is effective. © 2016 ICIC International.

Cluster based hybrid key management scheme for ad hoc networks

Secure communication is part of the most important aspects for ad hoc networks. One cluster based Hybrid key Management Scheme is proposed in this paper for ad hoc networks. The clusters are constructed by the R-hop connected dominating sets based Partition Algorithm, which is only with the knowledge of local connectivity information. Furthermore, Hybrid key Management Scheme can be seen as an integration of both the asymmetric key and symmetric key cryptography. The asymmetric one is based on the elliptic curve cryptosystem, which is an asymmetric one. However, inter cluster key management is based on symmetric key encryption. Experimental results show this scheme is reliable and it is able to achieve higher success of landing ratio than other comparable algorithms. © 2016 ICIC International.

Algorithms for path planning have recently drawn renewed attention from researchers due to the advances of intelligent transportation applications. The difference on path planning between past and nowadays is the complexity of dynamic transportation network. This paper focuses on the road network modeling to speed up real time path discovery in dynamic and complex road networks. On the basis of community detection (partitioning), an agglomerative hierarchical clustering algorithm with greedy strategy is proposed in this paper. The algorithm performs a hierarchical network abstraction to make a layered road network with largest community modularity. Static and dynamic information of the real time road network conditions is concerned in the process of network abstraction. Based on the road network layering, the performance of path discovery can be improved due to the reduction of unnecessary searching. The performance of the proposed algorithm was evaluated and compared with the well-known Dijkstra and A-star algorithms. The result shows that the proposed algorithm performs better than the other two algorithms. © 2016.

In China, the expressway isn’t free. When a vehicle exits, the exit toll station needs to calculate the toll according to the vehicle trajectory obtained by sending a trajectory query task to the trajectory center remotely. For the accurate of toll and keep the exit smoothly, transmitting the trajectory result reliably and in time is a key issue. There are three heterogenous networks in expressway, Fibernet, Telecommunications Network and 3G. We concurrently exploit three heterogenous networks by allocating the trajectory result into three sub-flows where each sub-flow is transmitted in one kind of networks. But existing multipath transfer solution(FMTCP) doesn’t consider the difference of completed time among all sub-flows and can’t make sure the completed time in time. Therefore, we formulate the sub-flows schedule as a integer programming problem, which is proved to be NP-hard problem, and propose a Completion time-aware Flow Scheduling scheme (CaFS) which calculates the size of sub-flows. For the reliably, it exploits generation-based network coding. For the transmission in time, CaFS allocates the size of sub-flow into suitable generation and scheduling the generations. The simulation results demonstrate that, comparing with the FMTCP, CaFS improves 31. 9% in completion time and 30% in task finished rate. © Springer International Publishing Switzerland 2015.

In smart grid, privacy implications to individuals and their family is an important issue, due to the fine-grained usage data collection. Wireless communications are considered by many utility companies to obtain information. Network coding is exploited in smart grids, to enhance network performance in terms of throughput, delay, robustness, and energy consumption. However, Network Coding introduces new challenge for privacy preserving due to the encoding of packet in forwarder nodes. We propose a distributed privacy preserving scheme for network coding in smart grid, which considers the converged flows character of smart grid and exploits a homomorphic encryption function to decrease the complex in forwarder node. The message content of packet is encrypted and the tag of packet is encrypted by homomorphic encryption function. Then the forwarder node linear random codes the encrypted message contents and directly processes the tags cryptotext based on the homomorphism feature. It offers message content confidentiality privacy preserving feature, which can efficiently thwart traffic analysis. Extensive security analysis and performance evaluations demonstrate the validity and efficiency of the proposed scheme. © Springer International Publishing Switzerland 2015.
