While convolutional neural network(CNN) have historically achieved significant success in 3D medical image segmentation, recent advancements in Vision Transformer (ViT) have led to increased popularity of Transformer architectures in this field. Leveraging the global information extraction capabilities of Transformers, we propose a novel parallel structure combining CNN and Transformer for multimodal brain tumor segmentation, named PTCNet. We introduce two key improvements to enhance multimodal segmentation:1) Introducing a novel channel attention module that replaces spatial self-attention in the Transformer to improve cross-modal information extraction.2) Enhancing the reversible feature extraction module based on residual structures to better detect small lesions. We evaluated our method on the BraTS 2023 brain metastasis dataset, achieving an average DSC of 61.42%, which is 1.12% higher than the second place. The innovative structure and improved modules of PTCNet significantly enhance performance in multimodal brain tumor segmentation tasks. With the development of Industrial Internet of Things(IIoT), massive industrial devices produce a large number of delay-sensitive and computing-intensive tasks. Offloading tasks under the end-edge-cloud collaboration mode can improve the efficiency of completing tasks. However, on the one hand, tasks need to be finished before corresponding deadlines and pay for consuming resources, so delay and cost constitute the main factors affecting task offloading decisions. On the other hand, limited real-time resources in the system may not meet the needs of all devices, so we should ensure that as many devices can complete tasks on time as possible while optimizing task delay and cost of each device. To tackle the challenges, we propose an end-edge-cloud collaborative task offloading approach based on exact potential game. Aiming at optimizing delay-cost of each device and task completion rate of the whole system, the end-edge-cloud collaborative task offloading problem is modeled as an exact potential game and solved. Extensive experiments show that the approach can improve the task completion rate of the system while optimizing the delay-cost of each device. © 2022 IEEE.

big-MOE: BYPASS ISOLATED GATING MOE FOR GENERALIZED MULTIMODAL FACE ANTI-SPOOFING

In the domain of facial recognition security, multimodal Face Anti-Spoofing (FAS) is essential for countering presentation attacks. However, existing technologies encounter challenges due to modality biases and imbalances, as well as domain shifts. Our research introduces a Mixture of Experts (MoE) model to address these issues effectively. We identified three limitations in traditional MoE approaches to multimodal FAS: (1) Coarse-grained experts’ inability to capture nuanced spoofing indicators;(2) Gated networks’ susceptibility to input noise affecting decision-making;(3) MoE’s sensitivity to prompt tokens leading to overfitting with conventional learning methods. To mitigate these, we propose the Bypass Isolated Gating MoE (big-MoE) framework, featuring: (1) Fine-grained experts for enhanced detection of subtle spoofing cues;(2) An isolation gating mechanism to counteract input noise;(3) A novel differential convolutional prompt bypass enriching the gating network with critical local features, thereby improving perceptual capabilities. Extensive experiments on four benchmark datasets demonstrate significant generalization performance improvement in multimodal FAS task. The code is released at https://***/murInJ/bigMoE. UNet and its variants have widespread applications in medical image segmentation. However, the substantial number of parameters and computational complexity of these models make them less suitable for use in clinical settings with limited computational resources. To address this limitation, we propose a novel Lightweight Shift U-Net (LSU-Net). We integrate the Light Conv Block and the Tokenized Shift Block in a lightweight manner, combining them with a dynamic weight multi-loss design for efficient dynamic weight allocation. The Light Conv Block effectively captures features with a low parameter count by combining standard convolutions with depthwise separable convolutions. The Tokenized Shift Block optimizes feature representation by shifting and capturing deep features through a combination of the Spatial Shift Block and depthwise separable convolutions. Dynamic adjustment of the loss weights at each layer approaches the optimal solution and enhances training stability. We validated LSU-Net on the UWMGI and MSD Colon datasets, and experimental results demonstrate that LSU-Net outperforms most state-of-the-art segmentation architectures. Edge computing is regarded as an extension of cloud computing that brings computing and storage resources to the network edge. For some Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) applications such as supply-chain supervision and collaboration, Internet of Vehicles, real-time video analysis and so forth, users should be authenticated before visiting the geographically distributed edge servers. Limited by the considerable latency between the cloud and edge servers, and the limited capacity of edge servers, it is infeasible to copy the authentication method from cloud servers when users are authenticated in edge servers. In view of this challenge, this paper proposes a novel token-based authentication scheme, named EdgeAuth, that enables fast edge user authentication through collaboration among cloud servers and edge servers. Under the EdgeAuth scheme, edge servers can rapidly verify the credentials of users who have been authenticated by the cloud server. EdgeAuth can also protect users from a series of authentication attacks, for example, the replay attack, DoS attack and man-in-the-middle attack. The results of experiments conducted on a simulated edge computing environment validate the usefulness of EdgeAuth through a comparison in latency and throughput against two baseline schemes. © 2023 John Wiley & Sons Ltd.

Current diffusion-based inpainting models struggle to preserve unmasked regions or generate highly coherent content. Additionally, it is hard for them to generate meaningful content for 3D inpainting. To tackle these challenges, we design a plug-and-play branch that runs through the entire generation process to enhance existing models. Specifically, we utilize dual encoders - a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) encoder and the pre-trained Variational AutoEncoder (VAE) encoder, to encode masked images. The latent code and the feature map from the dual encoders are fed to diffusion models simultaneously. In addition, we apply Zero-padded initialization to solve the problem of mode collapse caused by this branch. Experiments on BrushBench and EditBench demonstrate that models with our plug-and-play branch can improve the coherence of inpainting, and our model achieves new state-of-the-art results.

In this paper, we delve into a novel aspect of learning novel diffusion conditions with datasets an order of magnitude smaller. The rationale behind our approach is the elimination of textual constraints during the few-shot learning process. To that end, we implement two optimization strategies. The first, prompt-free conditional learning, utilizes a prompt-free encoder derived from a pre-trained Stable Diffusion model. This strategy is designed to adapt new conditions to the diffusion process by minimizing the textual-visual cor-relation, thereby ensuring a more precise alignment between the generated content and the specified conditions. The second strategy entails condition-specific negative rectification, which addresses the inconsistencies typically brought about by Classifier-free guidance in few-shot training con-texts. Our extensive experiments across a variety of condition modalities demonstrate the effectiveness and efficiency of our framework, yielding results comparable to those obtained with datasets a thousand times larger. Serverless edge computing is emerging as an enabler to provision scalable and flexible Function-as-a-Service (FaaS) applications with lightweight function instances at network edge. In serverless edge computing, the function instances with inter-dependencies are scheduled to proximate edge nodes in a distributed manner. However, the heterogeneity and unpredictability of edge networks bring significant challenge in realizing optimal scheduling decision to guarantee execution performance of applications without any prior. In view of this challenge, a Serverless Function Scheduling Method, named SFSM, is proposed in this paper for FaaS applications over edge computing. First, a long-term optimization problem is formulated to reduce completion time and decoupled into time-slot sub-problems via Lyapunov optimization. To avoid the cross-edge redundant data transmission overhead of inter-functions, a two-level graph optimization is designed with vertical and horizontal data merging. Then, SFSM incorporates an online multi-armed bandit-based scheduling algorithm that only requires the context of requests without complete information of edge networks. Finally, extensive experimental results based on real-world datasets demonstrate the effectiveness and superiority of SFSM.

In order to effectively alleviate the current situation of low-frequency spectrum congestion and meet people's demand for high-speed communication, a four element multiple input multiple output(MIMO) millimeter wave antenna was designed for the n260 frequency band(37-40GHz), with an overall size of 10mm×12mm× 0.508mm. This antenna is based on a dipole broadband millimeter wave unit antenna and adopts a coplanar waveguide feeding method. The four element antenna is placed orthogonally to improve the isolation of the antenna. The operating bandwidth is 36.76-41.73GHz, fully covering the n260 frequency band of 5G, with a relative bandwidth of 12.7%. The simulation results show that the impedance bandwidth of each port of the antenna covers this frequency band, and the isolation degree between each antenna unit port is less than-15dB. The envelope correlation coefficient(ECC)is less than 0.05, and has good radiation characteristics, which meets the performance requirements of MIMO antenna and can ensure the normal operation of the antenna.
