Cortical surface registration plays a crucial role in coordinating individual cortical functions and anatomical features, serving as a fundamental step in cortical surface analysis. Its aim is to align the anatomical or functional regions of different individuals, which is of great importance for neuroimaging studies across different populations. Currently, cortical surface registration techniques based on classical methods have been well developed. However, a key issue with classical registration methods is that for each pair of images to be registered, it is necessary to search for the optimal transformation in the deformation space according to a specific optimization algorithm until the similarity measure function converges, which cannot meet the requirements of real-time and high-precision in medical image registration. With the spectacular success of deep learning in the field of computer vision, researching cortical surface image registration techniques based on deep learning models has become a new direction. But so far, there are still only a few studies on cortical surface image registration based on deep learning. Moreover, although deep learning methods theoretically have stronger representation capabilities, surpassing the most advanced classical methods in registration accuracy and distortion control remains a challenge. Therefore, to address this challenge, this paper constructs a deep learning model to study the technology of cortical surface image registration. The specific work is as follows: (1) An unsupervised cortical surface registration network based on a multi-scale cascaded structure is designed, and a convolution method based on spherical harmonic transformation is introduced to register cortical surface data. This solves the problem of scale-inflexibility of spherical feature transformation and optimizes the multi-scale registration process. This survey comprehensively reviews the metrics for measuring the diversity of game scenarios, spotlighting the innovative use of procedural content generation and other fields as cornerstones for enriching player experiences through diverse game scenarios. By traversing a wide array of disciplines, from affective modeling and multi-agent systems to psychological studies, our research underscores the importance of diverse game scenarios in gameplay and education. Through a taxonomy of diversity metrics and evaluation methods, we aim to bridge the current gaps in literature and practice, offering insights into effective strategies for measuring and integrating diversity in game scenarios. Our analysis highlights the necessity for a unified taxonomy to aid developers and researchers in crafting more engaging and varied game worlds. This survey not only charts a path for future research in diverse game scenarios but also serves as a handbook for industry practitioners seeking to leverage diversity as a key component of game design and development. This paper explores the size-invariance of evaluation metrics in Salient Object Detection (SOD), especially when multiple targets of diverse sizes co-exist in the same image. We observe that current metrics are size-sensitive, where larger objects are focused, and smaller ones tend to be ignored. We argue that the evaluation should be size-invariant because bias based on size is unjustified without additional semantic information. In pursuit of this, we propose a generic approach that evaluates each salient object separately and then combines the results, effectively alleviating the imbalance. We further develop an optimization framework tailored to this goal, achieving considerable improvements in detecting objects of different sizes. Theoretically, we provide evidence supporting the validity of our new metrics and present the generalization analysis of SOD. Extensive experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of our method. Constructing heterojunctions has emerged as a widely embraced strategy for augmenting piezo-photocatalytic activities. However, the synergistic pressure response, the construction of charge transfer, polar direction sites and active site are often left in the basket. Here, the carboxylated C3N4 and Bi2MoO6 S-scheme heterostructure was elaborately designed for piezo-photocatalytic nitrogen oxidation towards nitric acid. Extensive research evidence proves that Bi-COOH interaction leads to the occurrence of polarity interaction and structural reconstruction. Those initiatives facilitate the efficient distribution of charges and acts as a pathway for carrier migration, thereby promoting charge transfer and the large intrinsic dipole moment. Furthermore, the combination of polarity interaction and structural reconstruction strengthens N2 polarization and electron transfer, facilitating the breaking of N≡N bonds and reducing activation energy. Consequently, the optimal BCO-3 catalyst revealed outstanding nitric acid production rates of 5930 μg g−1 h−1 , which is 3.66 times higher than that of C3N4-Bi2MoO6 heterostructure. © 2024, The Authors. With the rapid growth of online platforms and the abundance of available information, personalized recommender systems have become essential for assisting users in discovering relevant and interesting content. Among the various methods, knowledge-aware recommendation model has achieved notable success by leveraging the rich semantic information encoded in knowledge graphs. However, it overlooks the fact that users’ historical click sequences can better reflect their preferences within a period of time, thus imposing certain limitations on the recommendation performance. On the other hand, the application of pre-trained language models in recommender systems has demonstrated increasingly significant potential, as they can capture sequential patterns and dependencies within users’ historical click sequences and effectively capture contextual information in user-item interactions. To this end, we propose a hybrid recommendation model that leverages Pre-training in the collaborative Knowledge graph Attention neTwork (PKAT), to extract both the high-order connectivity information in collaborative knowledge graphs and the contextual information in users’ historical click sequences captured by Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers (BERT). The collaborative knowledge graph attention network enables the model to effectively capture the intricate relationships between users, items, and knowledge entities, thus enhancing the representation learning process. Furthermore, what sets PKAT apart from other state-of-the-art knowledge-aware recommendation methods is the incorporation of the BERT language model. This integration allows PKAT to capture the contextual sequence information of user behavior, enabling it to generate more accurate and personalized recommendations. Extensive experiments are conducted on multiple benchmark datasets. And the results demonstrate that our PKAT model outperforms several state-of-the-art baselines.

In recent years, oriented object detection technology has made significant progress. Most oriented object detectors represent oriented bounding boxes by adding additional angle information to the horizontal bounding box representation, which leads to serious angle periodicity issues. To address these issues, this paper proposes double midpoint vectors (DMvectors) to represent oriented objects. For any oriented bounding box, we align the center point with the origin in the Cartesian coordinate system, and evenly distribute the midpoints of the box edges across the four quadrants. We use the midpoint of the first and second quadrants, as well as the width and height of the box, to represent the oriented bounding box. DMvectors solve the periodic problem of angles by implicitly including angle information in vectors. To demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed method, we conducted extensive experiments on two common remote sensing datasets (DOTA and HRSC2016), and our method achieved competitive results.

Urban rail transit (URT) is vulnerable to natural disasters and social emergencies including fire, storm and epidemic (such as COVID-19), and real-time origin-destination (OD) flow prediction provides URT operators with important information to ensure the safety of URT system. However, hindered by the high dimensionality of OD flow and the lack of supportive information reflecting the real-time passenger flow changes, study in this area is at the beginning stage. A novel model consisting of two stages is proposed for OD flow prediction. The first stage predicts the inflows of all stations by Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) in real time, where the dimension is reduced compared with predicting OD flows directly. In the second stage, the notion of separation rate, namely, the proportion of inbound passengers bounding for another station, is estimated. Finally, The OD flow is predicted by multiplying the inflow and separation rate. Experiments based on Hangzhou Metro dataset show the proposed model outperforms the contrast model in weighted mean average error (WMAE) and weighted mean square error (WMSE). Results also suggest that the proposed prediction model performs better on weekdays than on weekends, and with greater accuracy on larger OD flows. © 2000-2011 IEEE.

This paper studies optimization problems over multi-agent systems, in which all agents cooperatively minimize a global objective function expressed as a sum of local cost functions. Each agent in the systems uses only local computation and communication in the overall process without leaking their private information. Based on the Barzilai-Borwein (BB) method and multi-consensus inner loops, a distributed algorithm with the availability of larger step-sizes and accelerated convergence, namely ADBB, is proposed. Moreover, owing to employing only row-stochastic weight matrices, ADBB can resolve the optimization problems over unbalanced directed networks without requiring the knowledge of neighbors’ out-degree for each agent. Via establishing contraction relationships between the consensus error, the optimality gap, and the gradient tracking error, ADBB is theoretically proved to converge linearly to the globally optimal solution. This paper introduces the Temporal Transform Network based on Scale Sequences (TTS) for cloth-changing person re-identification in video datasets. The TTS network is designed to capture multi-scale temporal cues within video sequences. It accomplishes this by initially modeling short-term temporal cues between adjacent frames, followed by capturing long-term relationships between non-consecutive frames. In more detail, short-term temporal cues are modeled through parallel inflated convolutions with different time dilation rates, enabling the representation of pedestrian movement and appearance dynamics. Long-term relationships are effectively captured using a temporal self-attention model, mitigating challenges such as occlusion and noise within the video sequence. The TTS network outperforms existing methods across cloth-changing video ReID datasets such as CCVID. For instance, under general settings, our approach exhibits a 1.1% improvement in top-1 accuracy and a corresponding 1.1% increase in mAP compared to the baseline. In cloth-changing settings, we observe a 0.2% enhancement in top-1 accuracy and a notable 1.3% increase in mAP relative to the baseline.
