In the segmentation of curve structures, the discontinuity may lead to an incomplete topological representation of the structure. The current methods for reconnecting curve structures lack physical explanations and are limited in their effectiveness in image processing. In order to address these constraints, a new algorithm for reconnecting curve structures in segmentation is proposed by combining fluid mechanics principles, especially Bernoulli’s principle and random walks. This algorithm calculates the similarity of fracture curves to find the fracture *** the energy calculation method during the reconnection process and calculated the probability of energy transfer. It adopts a biased random walk guided by the energy transfer probability in the graph until the walker reaches the target. This innovative approach provides a more comprehensive physical explanation and improves the effectiveness of image processing.

Domain adaptation techniques help models generalize to target domains by addressing domain discrepancies between the source and target domain data distributions. These techniques are particularly valuable for cross-domain hashing retrieval, as they reduce training costs while maintaining high retrieval efficiency. However, existing unsupervised domain adaptative hashing methods often require access to both source and target domain data, which may raise privacy concerns regarding source domain data. To address these concerns, restricting access to source domain data is crucial, but this restriction also makes the alignment process between domains more challenging. In this paper, we propose a Source-free Domain Adaptive Hashing with Multiple Alignment (SFDAH-MA) approach for image retrieval. SFDAH-MA integrates model structure alignment, class moment alignment, and semantic relationship alignment to maximize inter-domain knowledge transfer. This comprehensive alignment strategy not only enhances retrieval performance across domains but also minimizes reliance on source domain data, thereby supporting data privacy protection. Extensive experiments show that SFDAH-MA achieves state-of-the-art performance in source-free settings and achieves comparable results to existing unsupervised domain adaptive hashing methods under conventional settings. In this paper, the distributed form of the zeroing neural network for solving time-varying optimal problems is put forward. Compared with traditional centralized algorithms, distributed algorithms possess better privacy and scalability. This paper initially proposes a centralized time-varying optimisation algorithm with fixed-time convergence and certain robustness, which is based on the integration-enhanced zeroing neural network. Subsequently, the algorithm is enhanced, and two distributed algorithms are designed separately. Both of these two algorithms have a fixed convergence time and certain robustness. Additionally, this paper utilizes the penalty function approach to handle time-varying optimization problems with inequality constraints, thereby making the algorithm more widely applicable. The effectiveness of the algorithm is verified through several numerical examples, and the applicability of the algorithm is demonstrated by solving the package-level state-of-charge balancing problem. © 2020 IEEE.

We present a no-reference image-quality - assessment algorithm based on active reasoning module. This algorithm has three modules: the feature extraction module, the active reasoning module, and the quality assessment module. The active reasoning module incorporates the generator component of the generative adversarial network and enhances its structure with the Res2Net architecture. By integrating this module into the backbone feature extraction network, we improve the receptive field of each convolutional layer, enabling the network to capture information at different scales of the image. To preserve the texture information of the image, we input the gradient map of the distorted image, the distorted image itself, and the image features generated by the generator into the quality assessment module, which has a multi-feature regression networks. This module establishes a mapping model from image-feature to image-quality scores. We conducted experimental analysis of this algorithm on three widely used public datasets, confirming the excellent performance and superiorities of the presented algorithm. The results validate the effectiveness of the designed algorithm and its ability to assess image quality accurately. © 2023 IEEE.

Video grounding aims to localize a specific segment corresponding to a text query in an untrimmed video. Due to the tremendous computational cost required to process the video frames, the de facto paradigm of video grounding is to extract video features using pretrained video encoders. The parameters of the video encoders are fixed during training, which limits the performance of the localization model. To solve this problem, we propose a Memory-Augmented Transformer (MAT) model. Specifically, each video is split into non-overlapping clips, and our MAT processes videos in a clip-by-clip manner while caching video features into FIFO cached memory queues. By enabling early return, our MAT outperforms previous methods with only less than 60% frames seen. Extensive experimental results on three public benchmark datasets demonstrate that our MAT can achieve competitive performance while being much more efficient than currently prevailing two-stage methods. BERT based Pre-training Language Model (PLM) has become a crucial step in achieving the best results in various natural language processing (NLP) tasks. However, the current progress, which mainly focuses on major languages such as English and Chinese, has not thoroughly investigated the low-resource languages, particularly agglutinative languages like Mongolian, due to the scarcity of large-scale data resources and the difficulty of understanding agglutinative knowledge. In this paper, we propose a novel PLM for the Mongolian language, that incorporates a novel three-stage agglutinative knowledge injection strategy. Specifically, early-stage injection aims to convert the Mongolia word sequence to the fine-grained sub-word token that comprises a stem and some suffixes; Middle-stage injection designed a morphological knowledge-based masking strategy to enhance the model's ability to learn agglutinative knowledge; Late-stage injection not only involves the model restoring the masked tokens but also predicting the order of suffixes. To address the issue of data scarcity, we create a large-scale Mongolian PLM dataset and three datasets for three downstream tasks, that are News Classification, Name Entity Recognition (NER), and Part-of-Speech (POS) prediction, etc. The experimental results on three downstream tasks demonstrate that our method surpasses the traditional BERT approach and successfully learns agglutinative language knowledge in Mongolian.

As large language models (LLMs) continue to evolve, understanding and quantifying the uncertainty in their predictions is critical for enhancing application credibility. However, the existing literature relevant to LLM uncertainty estimation often relies on heuristic approaches, lacking systematic classification of the methods. In this survey, we clarify the definitions of uncertainty and confidence, highlighting their distinctions and implications for model predictions. On this basis, we integrate theoretical perspectives—including Bayesian inference, information theory, and ensemble strategies—to categorize various classes of uncertainty estimation methods derived from heuristic approaches. Additionally, we address challenges that arise when applying these methods to LLMs. We also explore techniques for incorporating uncertainty into diverse applications, including out-of-distribution detection, data annotation, and question clarification. Our review provides insights into uncertainty estimation from both definitional and theoretical angles, contributing to a comprehensive understanding of this critical aspect in LLMs. We aim to inspire the development of more reliable and effective uncertainty estimation approaches for LLMs in real-world scenarios. © 2024, CC BY.

Deep learning methodologies are gaining popularity for enhancing the efficiency of Specific Emitter Identification (SEI). Nevertheless, the lack of labeled datasets continues to pose a challenge in most non-cooperative scenarios for SEI. Addressing this challenge, a framework for SEI is proposed, leveraging Short-Time Fourier Transform (STFT) in conjunction with auxiliary classifier GAN(ACGAN). The Short-Time Fourier Transform of emitters is utilized as radio-frequency fingerprint for the emitters. The input latent layer is infused with label information to steer the training process of the Generative Adversarial Network. Through semi-supervised training, shared weight updates are implemented for the classification network. Experimental results demonstrate that our model can achieve superior or competitive performances in several datasets compared with the former models.

In recent years, research has illuminated the potency of implicit data processing in enhancing user preferences. Nevertheless, barriers remain in breaking through the constraints of implicit information. This study aims to bridge this gap by firstly constructing a triangular stable node network model, tailored to manage implicit information with precision. Recognizing the challenge of pinpointing novel structures within large-scale graphs, we propose SLTSNN-a triangular stable node network based on self-supervised learning for personalized prediction. SLTSNN innovates by maximizing mutual information between graph-level and patch-level representations, while augmenting graph representations through extended enhanced representations. Additionally, it incorporates triangular data associations and introduces a triangular allocation attention network, which emphasizes strongly correlated preference features among similar users. Furthermore, SLTSNN employs contrastive learning to maximize mutual information between graph vectors and hidden representations, distinguishing between high-order global and local representations. The model's effectiveness in enhancing user preferences and capturing new graph structures is evidenced by its performance on hit rate and normalized discounted cumulative gain metrics across three datasets. © 2025 IEEE.

This paper presents the SZU-AFS anti-spoofing system, designed for Track 1 of the ASVspoof 5 Challenge under open conditions. The system is built with four stages: selecting a baseline model, exploring effective data augmentation (DA) methods for fine-tuning, applying a co-enhancement strategy based on gradient norm aware minimization (GAM) for secondary fine-tuning, and fusing logits scores from the two best-performing fine-tuned models. The system utilizes the Wav2Vec2 front-end feature extractor and the AASIST back-end classifier as the baseline model. During model fine-tuning, three distinct DA policies have been investigated: single-DA, random-DA, and cascade-DA. Moreover, the employed GAM-based co-enhancement strategy, designed to fine-tune the augmented model at both data and optimizer levels, helps the Adam optimizer find flatter minima, thereby boosting model generalization. Overall, the final fusion system achieves a minDCF of 0.115 and an EER of 4.04% on the evaluation set. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.
