Salient object detection (SOD), which aims to identify and locate the most salient pixels or regions in images, has been attracting more and more interest due to its various real-world applications. However, this vision task is quite challenging, especially under complex image scenes. Inspired by the intrinsic reflection of natural images, in this paper we propose a novel feature learning framework for large-scale salient object detection. Specifically, we design a symmetrical fully convolutional network (SFCN) to effectively learn complementary saliency features under the guidance of lossless feature reflection. The location information, together with contextual and semantic information, of salient objects are jointly utilized to supervise the proposed network for more accurate saliency predictions. In addition, to overcome the blurry boundary problem, we propose a new weighted structural loss function to ensure clear object boundaries and spatially consistent saliency. The coarse prediction results are effectively refined by these structural information for performance improvements. Extensive experiments on seven saliency detection datasets demonstrate that our approach achieves consistently superior performance and outperforms the very recent state-of-the-art methods with a large margin. Given black-box access to the input and output systems, we develop the first efficient quantum causal order discovery algorithm with polynomial query complexity with respect to the number of systems. We model the causal order with quantum combs, and our algorithm outputs the order of inputs and outputs that the given process is compatible with. Our algorithm searches for the last input and the last output in the causal order, removes them, and iteratively repeats the above procedure until we get the order of all inputs and outputs. Our method guarantees a polynomial running time for quantum combs with a low Kraus rank, namely processes with low noise and little information loss. For special cases where the causal order can be inferred from local observations, we also propose algorithms that have lower query complexity and only require local state preparation and local measurements. Our algorithms will provide efficient ways to detect and optimize available transmission paths in quantum communication networks, as well as methods to verify quantum circuits and to discover the latent structure of multipartite quantum systems. A performance evaluation of correspondence grouping methods for 3D rigid data matching

Seeking consistent point-to-point correspondences between 3D rigid data (point clouds, meshes, or depth maps) is a fundamental problem in 3D computer vision. While a number of correspondence selection methods have been proposed in recent years, their advantages and shortcomings remain unclear regarding different applications and perturbations. To fill this gap, this paper gives a comprehensive evaluation of nine state-of-the-art 3D correspondence grouping methods. A good correspondence grouping algorithm is expected to retrieve as many as inliers from initial feature matches, giving a rise in both precision and recall as well as facilitating accurate transformation estimation. Toward this rule, we deploy experiments on three benchmarks with different application contexts including shape retrieval, 3D object recognition, and point cloud registration together with various perturbations such as noise, point density variation, clutter, occlusion, partial overlap, different scales of initial correspondences, and different combinations of keypoint detectors and descriptors. The rich variety of application scenarios and nuisances result in different spatial distributions and inlier ratios of initial feature correspondences, thus enabling a thorough evaluation. Based on the outcomes, we give a summary of the traits, merits, and demerits of evaluated approaches and indicate some potential future research directions. Copyright © 2019, The Authors. Deep learning based joint resource scheduling algorithms for hybrid MEC networks

In this paper, we consider a hybrid mobile edge computing (H-MEC) platform, which includes ground stations (GSs), ground vehicles (GVs) and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAVs), all with mobile edge cloud installed to enable user equipments (UEs) or Internet of thing (IoT) devices with intensive computing tasks to offload. Our objective is to obtain an online offloading algorithm to minimize the energy consumption of all the UEs, by jointly optimizing the positions of GVs and UAVs, user association and resource allocation in real-time, while considering the dynamic environment. To this end, we propose a hybrid deep learning based online offloading (H2O) framework where a large-scale path-loss fuzzy c-means (LSFCM) algorithm is first proposed and used to predict the optimal positions of GVs and UAVs. Secondly, a fuzzy membership matrix U-based particle swarm optimization (U-PSO) algorithm is applied to solve the mixed integer nonlinear programming (MINLP) problems and generate the sample datasets for the deep neural network (DNN) where the fuzzy membership matrix can capture the small-scale fading effects and the information of mutual interference. Thirdly, a DNN with the scheduling layer is introduced to provide user association and computing resource allocation under the practical latency requirement of the tasks and limited available computing resource of H-MEC. In addition, different from traditional DNN predictor, we only input one UEs information to the DNN at one time, which will be suitable for the scenarios where the number of UE is varying and avoid the curse of dimensionality in DNN. A 780MHz wireless sensor network applied for Electric Vehicle Management System is designed and implemented in this paper, which meets the requirements of RFID 800 MHz / 900 MHz band. This project has less interference, good anti-multipath attenuation effect, longer transmission distance and stronger diffraction ability. Compared with 2.4 GHz sensor network on the market, it consumes less energy, and it is more environmentally friendly and energy saving at the same transmission distance. In addition, the system reduces the probability of interference and destruction in the same frequency band, reduces the risk of theft of electric vehicles, and will become the mainstream scheme of the future Electric Vehicle Management System. The transmission distance of the 780MHz wireless sensor network designed in this paper is more than 1km in the urban area. After applied to the Electric Vehicle Management System in the residential area, it shows the characteristics of long transmission distance and strong anti-interference.

Nowadays, the burgeon of machine learning has promoted its wide application in various fields. In Bioinformatics, machine learning computational method has become an indispensable part. Its efficiency and simplicity break the expensive and inefficient barriers of previous experimental methods. This article briefly reviews the application and development of machine learning in identifying and predicting key nucleotide sites (such as 6mA, 5mC, 4mC, etc.) in DNA or RNA. Among them, supervised learning is one of the main methods to this work. Its wide application has provided great convenience for the development of identification and prediction of key nucleotides in Bioinformatics.

For water resource analysis applications, due to very high resolution and large observation scope, optical remote sensing images can present more visible object characters. Water-land segmentation from optical remote sensing images is wildly used and becomes a hot research topic. However, since large scale complex background scenes include many interferences, the water-land segmentation from optical remote sensing images becomes a challenge task. Aim to achieve better water area feature description from complex land cover background, we apply a sub-neighbor system convolutional neural network (SNS-CNN) to the water-land segmentation in harbor scene areas. First, on the basis of the U-net structure, an optimized up-sampling process is proposed to enhance water area feature expression. Second, a novel sub-neighbor system constraint of each predicted pixel point is leaded into the loss function to make the model producing water mask more coherent. Furthermore, experiments on our collected variety of optical remote sensing images demonstrate that this paper proposed water-land segmentation method can produce better performance than state of the art methods.

First,according to characteristics of mobile social environment,by using optimization models based on similarity degree and interaction degree respectively,the optimal correlated users can be selected for analyzing two main factors of a target user's behaviors(***-term habits and shortterm influences);furthermore,an adaptive update strategy based on fuzzy theory is proposed to describe the importance of two factors in real time and quantitative ***,an improved Apriori theory is introduced to predict user service behaviors accurately;particularly,a new update mechanism for Apriori sample database is built to effectively integrate the samples of optimal correlated ***,simulation results verify the effectiveness of proposed algorithm.

The hamiltonian problem is an important topic in structural graph theory, which is closely related to Four Color Problem. Hence lots of graph scholars are dedicated to this topic. There are many authors working for finding some sufficient conditions for hamiltonian property of graphs. Let G be a claw-free graph with n vertices and δ(G)≥3. In this paper, we show that if G has an induced cycle of length more than (4n – 2δ(G)–4)(δ(G)+2)−1, then G is hamiltonian. The result is best possible if δG is 3 or 4.

In general, biometrics are data that owns fuzzy properties but the authors in this paper have neglected this technical point and the biometric information was authenticated using a hash function. Since the output of a hash function is sensitive to the input it cannot be applied to verify the validity of fuzzy data such as biometrics. Since this scheme is based on a hash function for biometric verification, it must not be used in real applications.
