In intelligent transportation systems (ITSs), incorporating pedestrians and vehicles in-the-loop is crucial for developing realistic and safe traffic management solutions. However, there is falls short of simulating complex real-world ITS scenarios, primarily due to the lack of a digital twin implementation framework for characterizing interactions between pedestrians and vehicles at different locations in different traffic environments. In this article, we propose a surveillance video assisted federated digital twin (SV-FDT) framework to empower ITSs with pedestrians and vehicles in-the-loop. Specifically, SVFDT builds comprehensive pedestrian-vehicle interaction models by leveraging multi-source traffic surveillance videos. Its architecture consists of three layers: (i) the end layer, which collects traffic surveillance videos from multiple sources;(ii) the edge layer, responsible for semantic segmentation-based visual understanding, twin agent-based interaction modeling, and local digital twin system (LDTS) creation in local regions;and (iii) the cloud layer, which integrates LDTSs across different regions to construct a global DT model in realtime. We analyze key design requirements and challenges and present core guidelines for SVFDT’s system implementation. A testbed evaluation demonstrates its effectiveness in optimizing traffic management. Comparisons with traditional terminal-server frameworks highlight SV-FDT’s advantages in mirroring delays, recognition accuracy, and subjective evaluation. Traditional recommendation methods often have incomplete understandings of recommendation evaluation indicators. They are limited to the accuracy of recommendation, but often ignore the diversity, novelty, coverage and other indicators. Therefore, the recommendation system should use more evaluation indicators to meet personalized demands of users so as to obtain satisfactory results. This is closely related to the problem of multi-objective optimization. This paper describes the mathematical expression of the multi-objective optimization problem and uses NSGA-II algorithm to test its accuracy and diversity indexes of Netflix dataset. The experimental results show that NSGA-II algorithm can meet multi-objective requirements of the recommendation system and the experimental results are satisfactory. © 2020 IEEE.

The main purpose of this paper is to introduce some approximation properties of a Kantorovich kind q-Bernstein operators related to B′ezier basis functions with shape parameterλ∈[−1,1].Firstly,we compute some basic results such as moments and central moments,and derive the Korovkin type approximation theorem for these ***,we estimate the order of convergence in terms of the usual modulus of continuity,for the functions belong to Lipschitz-type class and Peetre’s K-functional,***,with the aid of Maple software,we present the comparison of the convergence of these newly defined operators to the certain function with some graphical illustrations and error estimation table.

FaceBench: A Multi-View Multi-Level Facial Attribute VQA dataset for Benchmarking Face Perception MLLMs

Multimodal large language models (MLLMs) have demonstrated remarkable capabilities in various tasks. However, effectively evaluating these MLLMs on face perception remains largely unexplored. To address this gap, we introduce FaceBench, a dataset featuring hierarchical multi-view and multi-level attributes specifically designed to assess the comprehensive face perception abilities of MLLMs. Initially, we construct a hierarchical facial attribute structure, which encompasses five views with up to three levels of attributes, totaling over 210 attributes and 700 attribute values. Based on the structure, the proposed FaceBench consists of 49,919 visual question-answering (VQA) pairs for evaluation and 23,841 pairs for fine-tuning. Moreover, we further develop a robust face perception MLLM baseline, Face-LLaVA, by training with our proposed face VQA data. Extensive experiments on various mainstream MLLMs and Face-LLaVA are conducted to test their face perception ability, with results also compared against human performance. The results reveal that, the existing MLLMs are far from satisfactory in understanding the fine-grained facial attributes, while our Face-LLaVA significantly outperforms existing open-source models with a small amount of training data and is comparable to commercial ones like GPT-4o and Gemini. Echo State Networks (ESNs) are popular in Time Series Classification (TSC) due to their high-dimensional stochastic projections. However, due to the echo state at the current step is susceptible to the preceding step, the existing ESNs struggle to capture the long-term temporal dependencies. Furthermore, most of them only employ the unidirectional storage to capture the sequence information, which fails to fully consider the impact of the past and future moments simultaneously. To address these issues, we propose an advanced method called Bidirectional Skip-stored Dual-Stream Gated Attention Network (BSDSGANet) for Multivariate Time Series Classification (MTSC). Specifically, to roundly exploit the sequence information, a Bidirectional Skip-Stored Encoder (BSSE) is designed to enrich the temporal context by integrating past and future information. Then, a Dual-Stream Gated Attention Learner (DSGAL) mechanism is incroporated, which employs a Gated Recurrent Self-Attention (GRSA) module to learn the long-term dependencies and variable relationships. Meanwhile, a Multi-Scale Gated Attention (MSGA) module is developed to extract more important features from multiple scales. Extensive experiments conducted on eighteen benchmark MTSC datasets show that BSDSGANet outperforms five traditional methods and twelve deep learning models. © 2025 Elsevier B.V.

In recent years, research has illuminated the potency of implicit data processing in enhancing user preferences. Nevertheless, barriers remain in breaking through the constraints of implicit information. This study aims to bridge this gap by firstly constructing a triangular stable node network model, tailored to manage implicit information with precision. Recognizing the challenge of pinpointing novel structures within large-scale graphs, we propose SLTSNN— a triangular stable node network based on self-supervised learning for personalized prediction. SLTSNN innovates by maximizing mutual information between graph-level and patch-level representations, while augmenting graph representations through extended enhanced representations. Additionally, it incorporates triangular data associations and introduces a triangular allocation attention network, which emphasizes strongly correlated preference features among similar users. Furthermore, SLTSNN employs contrastive learning to maximize mutual information between graph vectors and hidden representations, distinguishing between high-order global and local representations. The model’s effectiveness in enhancing user preferences and capturing new graph structures is evidenced by its performance on hit rate and normalized discounted cumulative gain metrics across three datasets.

Predicting Rainfall-induced Landslide Using Bee Colony Algorithm Based on Support Vector Regression

Objective: Natural disasters caused by landslides have done great harm to agricultural production, people's lives, and property. Considering the slope disaster caused by heavy rainfall, it is important to establish an early warning system to monitor rainfall disaster prevention. Huafang University Slope Sustainable Development Research Center (HUSSDRC) has set up a meteorological station equipped with many sensors to provide early warning for landslides in Taiwan. Since the amount of data collected will soon become very large, there is a need to implement strong parallel frameworks containing information from the meteorological station and the displacement of tiltmeters required to predict the landslides caused by rainfall. Apache Spark (AS) is a general framework that contains the parallel process engine for data analytics. In this study, a hybrid method is utilized to predict rainfall-induced landslides. The proposed method combines support vector regression (SVR) with an artificial bee colony (ABC) algorithm on the parallel platform of AS. For the proposed method, the RMSE is 0.562, and it is the best value among these compared approaches. Methods: The SVR together with an ABC algorithm is applied to predict rainfall-induced landslides on AS. The AS can perform parallel data analytics in memory to speed up performance. However, it is hard to set up the best parameters for SVR. Thereafter, the ABC algorithm is utilized to search for the best parameters for SVR. Results: Compared with other methods, the proposed method results provide the smallest root mean square error (RMSE) for predicting rainfall-induced landslides. Conclusion: A hybrid method is proposed to predict rainfall-induced landslides. The proposed hybrid method is based on the parallel platform of AS in which SVR predicts the rainfall-induced landslides, and the ABC algorithm adjusts the best values of parameters for SVR. Multi-view learning integrates data from multiple sources to enhance task performance by improving data quality. However, existing approaches primarily focus on intra-distribution data learning and consequently fail to identify out-of-distribution instances effectively. This paper introduces a method to improve the perception of out-of-distribution data in multi-view situations. First, we employ multi-view consistency and complementarity principles to develop sub-view complementarity representation learning and multi-view consistency fusion layers, thereby enhancing the model’s perception ability to typical intra-distribution features. Additionally, we introduce a specialized multi-view training loss and an agent mechanism tailored for out-of-distribution scenarios, facilitating the ability to differentiate between known and new or anomalous instances effectively. The proposed approach enhances the recognition of out-of-distribution data by improving intra-distribution feature representations and minimizing the entropy associated with out-of-distribution instances. Experimental results on multiple multi-view datasets simulating out-of-distribution scenarios confirm the effectiveness of MOLA, which consistently outperforms all baselines with average accuracy improvements of over 5%.
