Underdetermined sparse sources separation is a challenge problem especially in adverse environment, where there are often some non-sparse interferences or more than one sparse interferences located closely to the target sources. While in some applications, such as in-car or hands-free environments, references of the interferences (P ≥ 2) coming from loudspeakers are available. Common sparse source separation approaches have not yet used these reference information, we call them traditional approaches in this paper. We propose a FD-MENUET (Frequency domain aDaptive filtering based Multiple sENsor degenerate Unmixing Estimation Technique) approach, in which we get full use of those reference information to help to separate the target sources. Even if no reference is available, the approach would only degenerate to the traditional approaches. The experimental results show that the proposed approach is more general and could achieves better separation performance than the traditional one.

This paper deals with optimal training design and placement over multiple orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM) symbols for the least squares(LS) channel estimation in multiple-input multipleoutput(MIMO) OFDM ***,the optimal pilot sequences over multiple OFDM symbols are derived by co-cyclic Jacket matrices based on the minimum mean square error(MSE) of the LS channel ***,an enhanced channel estimation method using sliding window is proposed to improve further the performance for the optimal pilot sequences in fast-varying *** results show that the enhancedmethod can efficiently improve the performances for the optimal pilot sequences over two and four OFDM symbols,especially in fast-varying channels.

A wideband and replaceable dielectric resonant antenna (DRA) excited by a probe is investigated. The proposed wideband DRA consists of a probe platform and a solid cylindrical dielectric resonator, and two magnets are applied to fix them. In this way, the dielectric resonator can be easily replaced. Therefore, three kinds of wideband DRAs with impedance bandwidth of 35.8%, 56.6% and 74% are designed. The reflection coefficient, radiation mode and antenna gain of the cylindrical DRA were analyzed by using HFSS ANSYS. © 2020 IEEE.

Traditional methods for nonlinear dy-namic analysis,such as correlation dimension,Lyapunov exponent,approximate entropy,detrended fluctuation analysis,using a single parameter,cannot fully describe the extremely sophisticated behavior of electroencephalogram (EEG). The multifractal for-malism reveals more “hidden” information of EEG by using singularity spectrum to characterize its nonlin-ear dynamics. In this paper,the zero-crossing time intervals of sleep EEG were studied using multifractal analysis. A new multifractal measure Δasα was pro-posed to describe the asymmetry of singularity spec-trum,and compared with the singularity strength range Δα that was normally used as a degree indi-cator of multifractality. One-way analysis of variance and multiple comparison tests showed that the new measure we proposed gave better discrimination of sleep stages,especially in the discrimination be-tween sleep and awake,and between sleep stages 3 and 4.

A multiple MIPS 4Kc processor cores based interrupt processing system is introduced. The interrupt controller plays a key role in the high definition television （HDTV） system-on-a-chip （SoC） platform, especially when it is a multiple processor system. Based on a general introduction to the whole HDTV SoC platform, a layered interrupt controller and its implementation are discussed in detail. The proposed scheme was implemented in our FPGA verification board. The results indicate that our scheme is reliable and efficient. Meanwhile, as a functional intellectual property （IP）, the interrupt controller has reusability and expandability with the layered structure.

Camera calibration is the essential step of obtaining 3D information from 2D views in the field of computer vision, which is widely used in the area of 3D reconstruction, navigation, visual supervision, etc. A camera self-calibration method based on dual constraints of multi-view images is proposed to make calibration possible when there is no reference calibration block or the movement of camera is arbitrary. In this method, multi-view images are preprocessed first to select three images which are most suitable for camera self-calibration, then we use the method based on the genetic algorithm, the camera parameters are finally estimated by using epipolar geometry matching error and reprojection error as fitness functions as two steps. Experimental results show that the proposed camera self-calibration method is correct and effective. © 2011 IEEE.

Flow visualization through motion estimation using time-sequenced images plays a significant role in analyzing and understanding complex flow phenomena, and it is widely used in meteorology, oceanography, medicine, astronomy, experimental fluid mechanics, etc. However, it is difficult for current motion estimators to adapt to illumination changes, remove instable perturbation, and capture diverse motion patterns. In this paper, a novel flow visualization tool is developed to address these issues by employing a structure-enhanced motion estimator composed of a data term and a regularization term. Specifically, a statistical correlation descriptor is designed for the data term to improve the accuracy of motion estimation by enhancing both illumination robustness and matching discrimination. Inspired by the strong distinguishability of a structure-texture distribution in a local window, a structure-enhanced regularizer that considers the physical mechanism of fluid diffusion is introduced to capture different motion patterns, enhance prominent flow structures, and remove unnecessary ripples or textures caused by instable perturbation or noise. The experimental results demonstrate that our approach significantly outperforms current motion estimators in handling illumination changes and predicting complex fluid flows, and it also achieves state-of-the-art evaluation results on the public fluid flow datasets. Furthermore, the designed flow visualization tool successfully captures diverse motion patterns in Jupiter’s White Ovals, which is crucial for understanding the physical mechanisms behind their formation and sustenance. © 1991-2012 IEEE.

Object detection on pavement cracks plays a significant role in the overall condition assessment of the pavement. However, the automatic crack detection remains a tough work due to the complex background and the scale change. In order to solve the related issues, a deep learning model named YOLOv5-AH is proposed on the basis of the YOLOv5. We integrate convolutional block attention module (CBAM) to extract attention area, which can emphasize the crack features and suppress the background information. Moreover, we optimize the network architecture by adding one more prediction head to detect different-scale cracks. To further improved our proposed YOLOv5-AH, a series of advanced strategies are integrated into the model training including data augmentation. A pavement crack dataset in different enviroments is built by a mobile robot. The precision and recall of our crack detection method reach 0.924 and 0.988 respectively. The prediction speed of the model can achieve real-time effect (72FPS). © 2022 IEEE.

Optical/MRI bimodal probes have attracted much attention due to palmary soft tissue resolution and high imaging sensitivity. In this study, poly[fluorene-co-alt-p-phenylene] containing organic radical (PFP-TEMPO+) is successfully developed for optical and MRI dual-modality bioimaging. PFP-TEMPO+ displays advanced properties such as fluorescence emission, high photostablilty, reasonable T-1 relaxation effect, low cytotoxicity, and good biocompatibility. Moreover, the ability of PFP-TEMPO+ for tumor tissues imaging confirms that it could be used as an optical and MRI imaging probe for in vivo imaging. The results of the present work disclose the potential applications of PFP-TEMPO+ as an optical and MRI contrast agent.

In this paper a new No-Reference (NR) image quality assessment (IQA) method based on the point wise statistics of local normalized luminance signals using region of interest (ROI) processing is proposed. This algorithm firstly extracts the ROI which is relative to human subjectivity by using the image gradient and phase congruency, and then extracts the image quality feature in spatial domain. Particularly, most of the present IQA methods mainly focus on predicting the image quality with respect to human perception, yet, in some other image domains, the final receiver of a digital image may not a human. Thus, we propose a method which can assess the image quality relative to edge detection algorithm. In addition, experimental results on LIVE database are provided to justify the superior compared to the significant image quality metrics. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.
