Si-embedded hard-carbon composites (Si-EHCs) were synthesized as anode materials for high-energy–density lithium-ion batteries. Edge-modified hard carbon (EHC), derived by treating mangrove wood with heat and acid, was combined with Si using a mechanical coating method to form a robust Si-EHC composite structure. This design effectively mitigates the problematic volume expansion Si anodes undergo during cycling and enhances their electrochemical performance by increasing their capacity, charge/discharge rates, and long-term cycling stability. The integration of Si into a hard carbon matrix capable of fast charging/discharging, combined with the optimized carbon coating, offers a promising strategy for addressing key challenges induced by the volume expansion of Si, such as the formation of an unstable solid electrolyte interphase layer. This study highlights the importance of optimizing the design of the composite structure and offers valuable insights for developing high-performance Si/carbon composites with the potential for incorporation into various applications. © 2025 The Author(s)

Bad data Identification and Correction Algorithm of μPMUs

For precise monitoring and diagnosis of power grids, WAMS based on PMU is gradually being expanded and applied. KEPCO installed 35 μPMUs at Yeonggwang substation as part of its efforts to build and utilize a next-generation intelligent transmission grid operation system. However, a large amount of μPMU data can be damaged due to various causes such as communication failure, disturbance, and synchronization instability. In this paper, we propose an identification and correction algorithm of bad data, such as event duplicate and spike, for reliable and high-precision analysis of the rESs-linked substation. First, we outline a high-precision WAMS of the substation, which is connected to rESs. Second, we propose a μPMU bad data identification using slope and count targeting 35 μPMUs installed in a 154kV substation. A correction technique using average-based is presented and evaluated. Finally, the simulation results using 11 days of μPMU raw data collected from the substation showed that the proposed algorithm is satisfactory. real-time usage prediction for shared bikes has important significance in intelligent transportation and travel management. In this paper, a time series prediction method for shared bikes based on K-means clustering and Gaussian process regression (GPr) is proposed. The method transforms the shared bikes time series into multiple subsequences through sliding window method to ensure that the time information is not lost in the GPr prediction process. By applying K-means clustering to select inducing points, data sparsity is achieved, and the selected points are used in the training of GPr model to achieve real-time usage prediction. Experimental results indicate that the proposed method effectively captures short-term trends and periodic characteristics in the time series, and significantly reduce the computational complexity compared with the traditional GPr model, while improving the training efficiency and generalization ability of the model. © 2024 IEEE.

Effects of the addition of SrCoO3 on the dielectric properties of the BaTiO3 ceramics sintered in a reducing atmosphere

This study investigated the impact of SrCoO3 (SCO) addition on the dielectric properties of BaTiO3 ceramics sintered under reducing atmospheres, targeting applications in base metal electrode multilayer ceramic capacitors (BME MLCCs). The objective is to develop materials meeting stringent requirements for high dielectric constant, low loss, and compliance with X8r specifications. results indicate that doping with 0.05 wt% SCO significantly enhanced MLCC performance, achieving temperature coefficient of capacitance (TCC) values compliant with X8r specifications. This optimal doping concentration enhanced room temperature resistivity, reduced leakage current, and improved impedance characteristics. These improvements stem from an effective reduction in oxygen vacancy content and Ti3+ ion proportion. The findings suggest that BaTiO3-based ceramics doped with 0.05 wt% SCO fulfill the demanding criteria of high-performance BME MLCCs, promising heightened dielectric properties, reduced losses, and enhanced temperature stability and reliability. © 2024 Elsevier Ltd and Techna Group S.r.l.

Enhanced dielectric properties and thermal stability of BaTiO₃ ceramics sintered in a reducing atmosphere through MnNb₂O₆ doping

This study investigated the effects of MnNb₂O₆ addition on the dielectric properties of BaTiO₃ ceramics sintered in a reducing atmosphere. BaTiO₃ ceramics are known for their excellent dielectric properties, making them essential for various electronic applications, particularly in multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCCs). However, sintering in a reducing atmosphere often leads to the formation of oxygen vacancies and Ti³⁺ ions, which degrade the material's dielectric properties and reliability. To mitigate these issues, MnNb₂O₆ was introduced as a dopant to BaTiO₃ ceramics. The results demonstrated that MnNb₂O₆ significantly reduced the formation of oxygen vacancies, leading to lower electronic conductivity and dielectric loss. Additionally, the doped ceramics exhibited higher insulation resistance and improved thermal stability, maintaining consistent dielectric properties across a wide temperature range. The study further highlights the benefits of donor-acceptor codoping in enhancing the material's stability. Codoping with Mn2⁺ and Nb⁵⁺ ions balanced the charge within the BaTiO₃ lattice, forming a stable defect complex of the form (Nb−Mn−Nb)TiX that suppressed the formation of oxygen vacancies. This approach resulted in a more uniform microstructure and reduced grain boundary conductivity, thereby significantly improving the dielectric properties and long-term reliability of the ceramics under high-temperature and reducing conditions. This study provides valuable insights into the mechanisms by which MnNb₂O₆ improves the performance of BaTiO₃ ceramics, paving the way for the development of high-performance dielectric materials. © 2025 Elsevier Ltd and Techna Group S.r.l.

In order to apply bio-epoxy resin as an insulating material for eco-friendly high-voltage heavy electric equipment, petrochemical epoxy resin (bisphenol A type diglycidyl ether (dGEBA)) and epoxidized soybean oil (ESBO), which epoxidizes the double bonds of fatty acids, were used. Ten types of samples mixed based on stoichiometry were *** to apply to heavy electric equipment for distribution, dGEBA:ESBO Mixture Contents ratio (100:0, 90:10, 80:20, 70:30, 60:40, 50:50, 40:60, 30:70, 20: 80, 10phr:90phr) and Micro Silica (M10_65wt%) were mixed to produce 10 types of epoxy/micro silica *** content ratio of bioepoxy that can be used in heavy electrical equipment and the thermal temperature characteristics of the mixture according to temperature changes were analyzed and reviewed through three evaluations, dSC, dMA, and TMA measurements. In general, the possibility was confirmed in the petrochemical epoxy dGEBA:ESBO/Micro silica_65wt% composite with a dGEBA:ESBO content ratio of 70phr:30phr. Assessment of the Blood Separation Performances of Asymmetric Cellulose Acetate Membranes Prepared through Combined Vapor-Induced Phase Separation and Electrospinning

This study introduces the formation of a composite cellulose acetate (CA) membrane for the removal of blood cells from blood-derived solutions. A vapor-induced phase separation (VIPS) CA membrane formed the bottom layer of the composite membrane. The exposure time to vapors was adjusted with the aim to open the pores of the surface exposed to the nonsolvent and obtain a membrane with a mean pore size of less than 0.4 μm. A 20 min exposure led to few pores in the microfiltration range decorating the top surface, while much more numerous pores were observed on the bottom surface in contact with the substrate during the phase-inversion process. differences between the top and bottom surface porosity in turn influenced wetting by water. The membranes with fastest top and bottom surfaces wettability were selected. Then, nanofibers with a mean pore size of 2.8 ± 0.3 μm were formed by electrospinning a CA solution on the bottom surface of the VIPS membrane. It resulted in the formation of a composite membrane with an asymmetric structure (large top surface pores and smaller bulk and bottom surface pores). In previous study,we got a purified ginger polysaccharide UGP1 and verified its significant antitumor activities on colon cancer HCT116 *** this article,we aimed to illustrate the underlying mechanism of UGP1 exerted antitumor activities on colon cancer by using in vitro cell models and in vivo animal *** results demonstrated that UGP1 could induce S-phase cell cycle arrest,up-regulate the expression of Bax and p53,down-regulate the expression of Bcl-2,and activate the downstream protein caspase-9 and caspase-3,which was related to intrinsic apoptosis pathway on HCT116 ***,UGP1 significantly stimulated rAW264.7 cell proliferation and secretion ***,UGP1 inhibited tumor proliferation on tumor-bearing mice,increased the expression of p53 and the ratio of Bax/Bcl-2,enhanced the secretion of pro-inflammatory cytokines TNF-α,IL-2,IL-6 and decreased the secretion of pro-tumor cytokines TGF-βand b FGF in *** conclusion,it indicated that the UGP 1 could sup press human colon cancer growth by inducing apoptosis via the regulation of p53,caspase-3,and Bax/Bcl-2 ratio-dependent pathway and regulating immune system *** s investigation provided basic theoretical mechanism of ginger polysaccharideexerted antitumor activities,and contributed to develop a possible functional food or adjuvant agent for prevention or treatment of colon cancer.

A decentralized crypto network with dynamic threshold change

The threshold proxy re-encryption (tPrE) algorithm not only ensures the separation of data ownership and use right, but also prevents a single data proxy from doing evil. In order to avoid collusion of multiple data proxies, this paper constructs a decentralized crypto network (dCN) based on blockchain technology and tPrE. dCN is more than a key management system, while expanding the data storage capacity of blockchain network. Combined with existing distributed storage schemes, it can store massive data. due to Byzantine failure in distributed networks, the data proxy nodes can join or leave at will. In order to ensure that the number of data proxy nodes in the dCN network meets the requirements of the re-encryption threshold, and the data authorization operation can be carried out smoothly, this paper presents a dynamic refresh method of tPrE fragments. When there are fragments that meet the threshold number in the network, the allocation of encrypted fragments can be adjusted non-interactivity and self-adaptively. Non-interactivity means that each data proxy node independently refreshes its old fragments into new fragments without collecting old fragments from other nodes in the dCN, and then distributes the new fragments to other data proxy nodes in the dCN. Self-adaptability refers to monitoring the changes of data proxy node sets in the dCN, and automatically refreshing fragments. Finally, the performance of critical algorithms is calculated in the proposal. © 2023 The Authors.
